Be prepared to learn some new things about how your dog thinks and communicates and be ready to have some fun doing it! By the end of our first lesson together most clients see a dramatic change in their dog’s behavior, and with follow-up practice this better behavior will become established.
All dog training and puppy training is done with you, one-on-one, in your home. After all, this is where you are experiencing dog behavioral problems, or training your puppy. It is also where there are less distractions, so your dog can be more focused, relaxed, and better able to learn and retain our teachings. I come to you!
My dog training and puppy training techniques and methods are based on how dogs communicate with each other and are instinctive and humane - no harsh punishments, no physical manipulation, no shock collars or prong collars! I would never have you do anything to your dog that I would not do to my own. Establishing loving and trusting leadership, and a mutual respect between you and your dog, through the foundational principal of communication - body language and voice tones, that are instinctive to dogs - is what my training methods are all about.
For nearly 18 years I have had the privilege of training more than 3,000 dogs, from Chihuahuas to Pit-Bulls to Great Danes, and all other breeds in between! I have worked with rescue dogs, foster dogs, pure-bred dogs, mutts, show-dogs – you name it. I help clients get their 8-week-old puppies started off on the right paw, as well as helping clients with senior dogs get problem behaviors resolved. Any Age. Any Breed. Any Issue.
I’ve had a passion for dogs, and all animals, my entire life and made the decision to dedicate my career to helping dogs and their owners. At that point I was in much the same place that you are right now - doing research and looking at the different kinds of available dog training philosophies and methods.
When I first learned about Bark Busters, I knew it was the right dog training methodology for me, it just made sense! At its very core, Bark Busters dog training is about understanding and communicating with dogs in a natural way, in the way that dogs themselves communicate with each other. At the time, and since then, I have not found any other dog training technique rooted in this philosophy.
I teach you to understand your dog from your dog's perspective and to how to meet your dog's needs in a way that makes sense to your dog! This is different and unique from any other training method that I have found. When we work together you will see this process and how well it works with your dog’s natural way of seeing the world!
