Bark Busters Home Dog Training North Seattle, Everett, Lynnwood & areas

Best Dog Training Seattle North, Everett, Lynnwood WA

Dogs do things for dog reasons, not people reasons. Dogs are a different species. That may be stating the obvious but perhaps you've had a thought such as "my dog is trying to get "even" with me" or "my dog is "mad" at me". Those are human thoughts, dogs view the world and life from a canine perspective not a human one. They also communicate in a canine way, not a human one. These are some of the differences that can lead to misunderstandings and problems between humans and dogs.

Every dog is an individual with his or her own personality, temperament and experiences, as are humans. I tailor each training plan to fit your dog and family. Great relationships with dogs are built on a foundation of mutual love, respect and trust. If any of these elements are missing there are likely to be problems. My mission is to help people understand and develop great relationships with their canine family members.

I use a non-physical (no choke, pinch, prong or shock collars) natural approach to achieve behavior change based on understanding and clear communication. I will train you to train your dog. At the end of each lesson I will leave you with written instructions to follow, usually about 15-20 minutes daily for approximately 5 weeks.

The Bark Busters training techniques are very effective for helping you to quickly eliminate common issues like jumping, barking, pulling on leash and much more. I also work with owners of dogs that have more serious issues such as aggression and separation anxiety.

Both people and dogs learn better when they are comfortable and in a stress free environment. Training takes place in your home where the problems usually occur and where you and your dog are most comfortable. If necessary I will also travel outside your home to help with a dog's behavior, places such as dog parks or doggie day cares, no extra charge with most service packages.

Most group training classes do not allow puppies until they are 4 months or older. For good or bad you begin shaping your puppy's behavior the day you bring her home. I use a comprehensive training program for developing proper manners and social skills in puppies as young as eight weeks old.

I offer a choice of service levels that makes training affordable for everyone. The "Life of the Dog" service is by far the best value. Our dogs will be with us for many years and changes occur. Family members come, or go, moves, schedule changes, new jobs, and other things happen which affect us and our dogs. With the "Life of the Dog" service you are never alone.

Contact me today to find out how I can help your family and dog(s) live in peace and harmony.

Many of my clients tell me they have lived with unwanted problems from their dogs, sometimes for years, because they thought that was normal behavior for their dog.

Read what they say after training.

Bark Busters Home Dog Training Services

The Bark Busters Home Dog Training Methods helps solve dog behavior issues such as aggression towards people or other animals

  • Cure embarrassing habits like barking, jumping up on people, scratching & whining at doors or inappropriate toileting.
  • Create an obedient dog or puppy that will happily walk on the lead without tugging, sit or stay on command, and come immediately when called.
  • Set off-limit areas for your dog.
  • Reduce the stress of separation anxiety without the need for sedatives or drugs.

We teach you to communicate with your pet.

Blah, blah, blah, bad dog! blah blah. Do you think your dog isn't listening to you? Maybe you're simply not speaking his language. You may have heard of dog whisperer or dog listener techniques. The Bark Busters dog training method is based on the way dogs communicate with each other and how they learn from older, more important dogs in the pack. This is what makes our dog training unique and effective.

Why do we train in your home?

Your dog lives with a family, in a home. This is where he misbehaves most often so this is where training is most effective. Dogs learn by association. Bark Busters teaches your dog to listen in the home environment. If he does not listen at home, he will not listen outside your territory.

Training in your home is a one-on-one system without the distraction of other dogs or the stress of being sent away for training.

Of course, where you are experiencing problems outside the home such as pulling on the lead or dog aggression, we will set up controlled training situations in the park or wherever is most practical.
