Highly recommend training with Chris! He is very knowledgeable and was extremely patient with me and my adolescent dog, Frankie. I have learned so much in this training process and we've made a lot of progress. No more pulling when walking or barking when someone comes to the door. I also have two cats and Chris helped me integrate them into each other’s lives. If you're considering dog training, Bark Busters is the way to go!
I can only say good things about Bark Busters. Chris has been wonderful with my 3yo pit bull mix who has aggression, anxiety, and other obedience issues. The methods Bark Busters encourage dog parents to use with their dogs is consistent, kind, and builds up the relationship. If you want a dog trainer who is patient, encouraging, and a true dog lover, Chris is your guy! I would recommend Bark Busters to anyone whose dog is experiencing behavior issues.
Chris at Bark Busters is a gifted trainer. Our dog, Lotus, was aggressive and out of control!!! We walked her on a secluded path in the woods just to avoid contact with other people and their dogs. Now, Lotus is walking the neighborhood with other dogs around. The training philosophy is logical and easy to implement. Lotus is more relaxed and calm and so are we!!! Also, this program is "life time". If we need a little refresher or another issue comes up, we can call Chris and get help with no additional fee. Worth every penny and more. Thank you Chris for being an amazing trainer!!!
Chris worked with us and our 3-year-old Golden Retriever Axel this past spring. We got Axel through a rescue on December 1, 2019. The only history we got was that he was approximately 10 months old and had come into a shelter in Texas as a stray. He had been in the care of several fosters since arriving in Maryland.
Our main concerns were Axel’s separation anxiety and his jumping on people. He also had a tendency to pull on the leash during walks and sometimes bark at other dogs unprovoked.
Chris taught us no-nonsense, common sense techniques for dealing with the undesirable behaviors. By the end of our first session, Axel was already responding and changing his conduct! He even seems to find comfort in the expectations and boundaries, making him calmer overall.
We are very pleased and grateful for the knowledge and expertise Chris shared with us, and highly recommend Bark Busters. The training made our furry family member even more of a pleasure to live with!

Chris was absolutely amazing!! I am beyond happy. My 3 year old Boxer, Drax, was completely out of control and I was at my wits end! Jumping on guests, barking, anxiety, and pulling me around on walks. Within two hours of Chris being here Drax's behavior completely changed. I was honestly speechless. Jumping and pulling on the leash were actually resolved in that first visit. My friends, yes I can have friends over again, couldn't believe the difference! Chris was amazing and I have recommended him to all my friends!!
I am in awe! Today was only my dogs first day training with Dave and I can’t wait to see what the future has in store! My dog Zoe could never be around dogs in my house and on the FIRST day I was able to have her off leash with another dog in the house without trying to go after him! The only thing I would have done differently is contact Dave sooner!
Thank you Emily, for the kind words. Keep up the great work

Dave is wonderful to work with. always available to answer any calls or texts and helps over the phone or comes for a visit. I have a difficult and stubborn puppy and he makes life much easier and helps me to make sure I have an obedient and courteous pet
The change in Tucker after the first day of training was amazing. Tucker is a 10 month old puppy who ruled our home. We now can vacuum, mow the lawn and eat dinner in peace. I was able to give Tucker a bath all by myself, that has never happened. Dave is amazing in his approach in training all of us. We still have work to do but already it's been much more pleasant around here. Thank you so much!
Thank you Jennifer, it was a pleasure meeting you, Lee and Tucker. Keep up the great work!!

Cookie our 5 year old Border Collie was pulling us so hard during our walks that we dreaded the thought of walking her. She also would run to the door and bark so uncontrollably that someone coming to visit was a fiasco. The barking at the door was so loud it would be impossible to gain control over her and answer the door at the same time. It would sound like we had a guard dog gone crazy at a impound lot! Dave came in and within just a few minutes Cookie changed into a quiet obedient dog! She now walls quietly next to us without pulling and sits quietly staring at us when someone now knocks on our door. Dave is a miracle Dog Whisperer! Oh, I should add that our 6 year old cat, Tigger, approved the wonderful changes in Cookie and thinks that Dave is the best thing that has happened since slice bread! Tigger, Cookie and us say thank you Dave!
