We have seen good results after just a couple of sessions with John. Peanut is barking less and learning not to pull on her leash during walks. John is giving us good advice and training us to be better ‘dog parents.’
I recently hired John of Bark Busters in Naples because I was seeking guidance in training my spirited “hard headed “ 4-year-old Red Nose Pit Bull.
One of the most striking aspects of John's training methodology is his emphasis on "being the leader of the pack" and adopting a mindset of "thinking dog." Rather than relying on harsh or punitive measures, or inundating Darcy with treats, John prioritizes the establishment of a strong bond of trust and respect between owner and dog. He recognized that Darcy thrived on structure and consistency, and he devised a training plan that aligned with her temperament and personality. He used games, interactive exercises, and real-life scenarios, John made learning both fun and rewarding for both Darcy and me. I am happy to say that I actually enjoy walking my dog now and my family and friends are not drenched with kisses anymore. LOL
The results of John's training approach speak volumes! John prioritizes positive reinforcement and fosters a bond between owner and dog. He has a compassionate approach and commitment to empowering both canine and human clients which set’s him apart as a true leader in the field of dog training.
John is excellent! He listens and understands your specific needs with your pet and provides the best training activités to help achieve your goals. Follow up visits are extremely helpful to refocus on areas we need help with. We’re so grateful that John provides this for as long as we need. We’re making great progress and that’s all to John help! Bark Busters is a great place to go to break old or new habits. Highly recommend!
Highly Effective Dog Training Experience with John Corr
I recently had the pleasure of working with John Corr, a remarkable and experienced dog trainer, who provided training for my two Yorkies in the comfort of my own home. I cannot express enough how impressed I am with the results and the positive impact it has had on my dogs' behavior.
Prior to John's intervention, my Yorkies were struggling with excessive barking and anxiety when they saw our neighbors or encountered unfamiliar dogs. It was a constant source of stress for both my dogs and myself. However, after just one session with John, I witnessed incredible transformations.
John's expertise and unique approach to dog training were truly remarkable. He not only addressed the specific issues we were facing but also taught us effective communication techniques that resonated with our dogs. His ability to literally speak to our dogs in a way they understood was awe-inspiring.
The results were immediate and astounding. My Yorkies no longer bark incessantly at passing bicycles or larger dogs. Their anxiety has significantly reduced, allowing them to remain calm and composed in situations that previously triggered distress.

John is an exceptional dog trainer. He really knows what he’s doing. I have had only one training session so far, it’s day two and I’ve continued doing my at home training and have already seen a HUGE improvement with my dog. John doesn’t just teach you what to do, he teaches the background and fundamentals of WHY you need to do what you need to do and like with most dog training, the main issue was with how I was interacting with my dog more so than how my dog is behaving. I can’t wait to finish the program to see how well behaved Gunner is at the end of all of this!
Thank you Ricky. We've had to seek help from the very top, getting advice from Sylvia Wilson, the Lady herself, who with her husband Danny started Bark Busters in Australia, back in 1989. I should also mention Michael Konstantaras, a guy who is not only one of BB's top trainers in the USA but also took time to help me as I was learning. I say all this just to point out that if your dog has an issue, as Gunner did, we'll search the planet for the correct, gentle solution for your dogs needs.

I forgot how much work a puppy can be! John and Elizabeth taught me a whole new set of rules so that Monroe will finally start listening to me. If you do the homework and are consistent in your training, the results are AMAZING. I liked the fact the training did not involve shock or prong collars or even treats. Now I feel more confident Monroe is going to grow up to be well behaved.

Our Vet, Dr. Lovingood recommended BarkBusters to us. It proved to be an outstanding experience! John met with us at our home. He answered all our questions, provided guided training with Gracie, and lots of helpful resources/tools. We saw an immediate change in Gracie's behavior. We will continue to follow through with her training twice daily. What a difference! We are no longer being held hostage by our new pup!

We have been so blessed to have John and Elizabeth as our trainer(s) for our sweet Lizzie. The first time John met Lizzie, we knew 100% that he was her friend and trainer. John is compassionate, caring, loving and especially funny. I HIGHLY recommend John and Elizabeth for all your traning needs. Our four-legged girl is a rescue who had quite a lot of issues with socialization and lead pulling. John has helped tremendously and given us the tools to assist in training.
