Do not hesitate to call Barbara! This is my second dog to work with Bark Busters. Barbara worked wonders with our first dog, a Labrador Retriever that we were struggling with a drastic change in his behavior that we had noted with a new baby in the house and a divorce in progress. Her work with myself and my older children helped immensely and I had not doubts about calling her on again recently with our newest dog, 1 year old lab mix.
Our newest addition, Penelope, reached the zenith of her bad puppy behaviors (jumping on guests, pulling on the leash, ignoring us when called etc.) during this past Christmas season and in desperation I reached out to Barbara to give us a hand. The change in our household with Penelope’s new manners was so quick and dramatic we had friends and family marveling over the difference in such a short time. Of course, working with a dog is always ongoing but Barbara provided the tools, encouragement and instruction we needed to get on the right course. She truly listens to your situation and the dog’s unique quirks and provides customized training plans to work on specific behaviors. The puppy had been a little too rough with my preschooler. That’s also been checked.
The tools are simple, the instructions thoughtful and easy to understand. With a bit of “homework” in the form of repetition, we were able to make the lessons stick.

Barbara is wonderful with Looey. Worked absolute miracles I just 2 visits!!! Looey was possessive, nervous, hyper, and aggressive when we first adopted him. Now he is so much more relaxed, responsive us, loving, and plays wonderfully with all our family dogs that visit. She began training Mia , our beloved Blue Merle Collie when she was three months old and continues working with us as our puppy turns seven Months on Nov. 8th.
During that time, Barbara has competently trained Mia and educated us as puppy owners. Barbara has provided our family with the skill and resources to train Mia in a confident and loving manner.
The outcomes are measurable in that Mia understands and obeys all commands that ensure her safety and well being. Barbara also taught us how to keep a sense of humor and enjoy Mia as she will grow up quickly !

I was truly surprised at what Penny could handle after one visit. It was a relief to see how natural and safe the techniques were. No physical force or contraptions. Barbara made the training relatable and fun! I would recommend Bark Buster - I can think of at least two people who would benefit from Bark Busters.Thanks Bark Busters for giving us hope when I was beginning to think our only option was to put our dog down.
Barbara was 100% awesome! By the end of the training, Miles was already responding pretty well to our BAHs and was noticeably better behaved! We REALLY like this method of training. We have past experience with treat-based training and didn't find it was nearly as effective. We definitely found the training interesting and enjoyable. When you're so down because your pup is not well behaved, and you see such a change so quickly, is definitely keeps you interested and is an enjoyable experience! We are encouraged by the results so far, and can't wait to see how Miles changes over the next few weeks!
The explanations were understandable and made sense. Gracie needs work, but I could tell the lessons were beginning to resonate.
