Photo of Charlioe Marc was extremely patient with us. Charlie was very reactive but Marc explained how not to have her react. By the time he left she was a different dog.

Photo of Levi & Maggie Michelle Rodriguez is wonderful! It's a process, not an instant fix and you have to do the work if you want to be successful. She's super supportive and the training is available for the life of your dog. Every time we run into a new situation she's there to help me through it. If you're willing to work on the training every day you WILL see results, this program works!!! And all without fear or punishing your best friend (or friends), just learning to be the leader of your pack!

It is no exaggeration to say that Kevin from Bark Busters literally changed my and my dog's lives. I absolutely cannot recommend him enough.

Holly has always been an anxious dog, but after the pandemic, this got even worse. She became very fearful and aggressive towards any people she didn't know. She is very cute and eye-catching, so people are always wanting to pet her. But when she starts barking, she's so loud and scares the heck out of people.

She would bark at any person who approached her, anyone jogging, anyone carrying things -- and sometimes at random people who did nothing at all. She even started nipping at their heels, and tore someone's pant leg. She did the same thing to any new person who tried to enter the house, too. It got to the point where I couldn't take her anywhere without fear, and I couldn't have anyone come to my house unless I had her locked away.

I was terrified that she was going to bite someone, and I felt awful that she was so anxious all the time. None of the training techniques I tried worked! I saw several trainers, and did research on my own as well. The problem is that Holly isn't very food motivated, and isn't toy motivated either. Positive reinforcement just wasn't working, but I didn't want to be cruel to my dog either. I was starting to think that I'd have to make her wear a muzzle or a shock collar.

I found Bark Busters, and though I was hesitant to spend so much for training up front, it has paid off tenfold. Kevin is amazing. He really understands how a dog's brain works, and he taught me how to communicate with Holly in a way she can understand (but not in any BS "alpha dominance" kind of way).

The training helped INSTANTLY. Within days of our first session, I was able to bring someone new into the house without her scaring them away. Now that she understands what I want from her, and that she can rely on me to handle any uncertain situations, she has become so much more relaxed. Walks are a breeze now, and I can let her off leash in the park with no trouble.

I would recommend Bark Busters to anyone, but especially if you have a dog who doesn't respond to "traditional" training that's only reinforced with treats. I promise you will not regret it!

    Trainer Note:
Racco has been aggressive in an around the home with people and dogs. Today was the first time she was able to have someone new in the home and her dog was calm! She was thrilled.

Photo of Teddy I reached out to John and Diane back in September and I've only had 2 sessions with them and they have taught me so much already. I even told Diane that I didn't realize I could love my dog more but I do, especially now that we have a better understanding of each other.

My dog is a German Shepherd mix who was through training when he was a puppy. I diligently followed the instructions I was given, but over time he developed some habits that I didn't get in front of like rushing the door anytime someone came. I would correct him, but he didn't care and I just starting thinking this is normal behavior for his breed. But now that he is 4 and much stronger, I started getting worried that something bad could happen so I called Diane and John to help me. That have been tremendous in helping me understand how to adapt my behavior to improve his. With only 2 sessions (and a lot of practice) I don't have a dog that controls my front door. I can highly recommend them and they will help you, but you need to put in the work.
Now I can't wait to see what our next session brings.

Fabulous! Where do I start? Let’s start with the foundation of Amanda, she’s definitely a big dog and what I mean by that is that she KNOWS her stuff…and she’s not afraid to share it with you! The entire time I felt more confident and in control of my household with two long-time resident dogs and newly adopted shelter dog than I did for a long time. I am optimistic that with understanding the behaviors of dogs, their thinking, and their basic needs — we can be better dog parent/leader.

While today was my first session and my household has pretty interesting multiple layers to it, I can imagine that some household would only require one session with Amanda. She’s amazing.

Another important note to add is that the adults in the household are deaf, and Amanda was such a great listener and teacher in figuring out what communication methods worked the best for all of us; including one of our dogs who is also deaf.

All in all, this was well worth the money, yes it’s pretty pricy, but the knowledge and support is worth it.
