Photo of Brody & Charley Sharon did amazing with my 2 pups. Within the first week I was already seeing the difference. Their behaviors began to change within a few days of consistent practice. We had a successful park day with other dogs. She helped me to understand that I have to go about my day to day a bit slower so it calms their minds and they don’t feel rushed or panicked. They are less anxious and responding to me better and better. Sharon has helped me understand how the dogs minds work and they need to feel safety and stability in order to feel calm. She makes working with the pups easy and doable.

Photo of Theresa came highly recommended by the Lee County Humane Society when I asked them for help with our family dog that had bitten one of the children. After we decided to work together, she sent me some information to get me prepared for our first meeting. Even though she was greeted at the door with loud barks and bared teeth, she kept her cool and within about 1 hour he was eating out of her hand. I was impressed, but the real work was yet to come. She walked me through several different exercises/activities to recondition his behavior and train me to set the tone for what was expected in the house and out on walks, and gave me some equipment to use while training. While neither I nor Bodie were perfect right away, the progress was astounding. She recapped each of the activities with me before she left, and I felt very confident in 6 or 7 of the 8, but that's ok. Part of the package she sent me later was a detailed action plan for the first 4 weeks, including a checklist for the daily activities we are supposed to practice, and a reminder on what I was supposed to do with each one. OK! Even now just a day or two after Theresa has started with us, this dog is the best behaved it's ever been. He used to bark in my face every time I would get dressed because he knew I was going out somewhere and there was a chance he could go on a car ride or a walk. He also used to crowd me in the kitchen while I was making dinner or getting his food ready or his treats ready. But one of the early things she taught me was how to hold a space in the kitchen to work when I want, and to let him in during normal times. I decided to test that right after she left by making myself a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Normally when he smelled peanut butter he was *right in there* hoping to get some for himself but this time he stood patiently about six feet away, and just watched until I called him and I was finished. It was the same thing for filling his food bowls and stuffing his toys with treats. Amazing!! I cannot tell you how much more enjoyable it is to get dressed in the morning and come downstairs and put my shoes on and have a breakfast without a dog barking in my face the whole time because he expects to go for a walk or go for a ride. He's still there next to me happy as ever, he's just not barking! We're still working on the "loose leash" walking techniques, and it seems weird to have to correct him all the time instead of letting him wander around, but he's starting to figure it out, and that means less corrections. Honestly it's better exercise for both of us when he does it correctly because we keep a good pace. He still gets to pee and poop and enjoy the outside, but we actually get moving well enough to get some real exercise, and it's much more enjoyable and less strain my back if he's not pulling the whole time. I'm excited to see how far Bodie and I can take this training, we're both learning at the same time. I feel like I made the right decision to hire Theresa with Bark Busters, and I look forward to showing her how much progress we've made by the next time we all get together. Thank you for making my dog more fun to be around, and safer too. I can't tell you how much it means, but you saw it on my face. I WISH we had done something like this earlier. If your dog is running your house, and/or sometimes out of your control, please do something about it - call Theresa and get some help.

Photo of Kenzie Theresa is amazing! After only one training session our dog, Kenzie, is already behaving better. Theresa showed us how to effectively communicate with Kenzie by establishing ourselves as leaders in the dogs eyes. Having the knowledge to address behavior issues is such a relief. Some of the issues we worked on are growling/barking at people, jumping up on people, claiming our space(eg keeping her out of the kitchen when we’re cooking...), and walking well on a leash with distractions. Kenzie is worn out from the session, so we’re done for today, but I am excited to practice our new skills tomorrow. We were feeling really frustrated with our dog’s behavior and heard about Theresa’s training after trying several other places. The combination of Theresa’s methods and that she came to our home seem to be just what we needed.

Photo of Ziggy Marley Hernandez Bark Busters was recommended by a family member, who helped us do research on trainers in the valley. Our Ziggy is an energetic, strong, loving puppy. Though, pre-Michelle he was often described as a non-stop tornado. We tried puppy training at a local pet store, lots of treats, tons of toys, and air sprays without much success. During the first session a light went off for us, and our entire relationship changed with Ziggy. I suppose we did not realize how much he controlled our house. Not only was the initial session enlightening, Ziggy made (or maybe we made) immediate progress. We are thankful to Michelle for continuing to guide us with homework and support us with follow-up touchpoints. And yes, our Ziggy continues to improve daily! We are grateful to Michelle and Bark Busters!

Thank you MariaElena for this beautiful review. I so appreciate and am inspired by your commitment to having a happy, healthy, and well-behaved dog. You both followed through with your homework and it shows. It was a joy to see how much improvement their is in Ziggy’s behavior. He is such a fun loving pup that loves to learn. Thank you for inviting me into your home and allowing me to assist your family in your training goals.

Bonnie is the best! I have a very energetic goldendoodle who loves food. He would jump on top of our counters and open the trash. We actually had a couple of scary situations where he ate things he shouldn't have but luckily he was ok. He also would pull me on walks. With Bonnie's help my boy is now respectful and has boundaries. We can both enjoy our walks together now too. I love that she does not use shock collars either. I highly recommend Bark Busters! Thank you Bonnie!

I can't praise Kayla and Randy highly enough! My lab/Newfie pulled me down the street and was out of control with other dogs on leash. In one lesson, I had my sweet gentle Luna back, both inside and outdoors. They offer easy solutions that I worked on and I know I can call them whenever I need additional advice or encouragement! Thank you so so much, don't hesitate- hire them now!

Photo of Remington & Weatherby This is my second review for Holly Denton and Bark Busters. When I started on this journey of training my dogs and met with Holly that first time, I have to be honest and say I was skeptical. Especially when Holly explained the training. But Holly assured me that with consistency and practice, I could change my dog's behavior and have "normal" dogs (my words). Mind you, I was at the point of surrendering both dogs because of bad behavior. Remington is a Treeing Walker Coonhound/Catahoula Leopard mix. He's a jumper and super hyper. Weatherby is a Great Dane/Lab mix and although very sweet, she emulates a lot of her brother's bad behaviors. So saying I was frustrated is putting it mildly. Aggressive/protective behavior when anyone came into my home. Barking at the door. Food aggression. You name it, my dogs did it. Let's jump forward 3 months. After following all the steps outlined by Holly, my dogs now are calm!! I recently had to have the plastic flaps replaced on my dog door and when the two gentlemen walked into my home, my dogs did not attack like they used to. I asked the guys to just stand there for a moment so my dogs could get a good sniff. Once they were done that, I commanded them back to their beds, and off they went. For the 30-45 minutes the guys were in my house, the dogs never bothered them once! As they were leaving the owner of the company stopped and said to me he had NEVER been in a home with dogs so well behaved. I told them that I had been training them and he told me that whatever I was doing with the training it was remarkable and to keep it up. If that didn't cinch my love of Holly and the Bark Busters training methods. Holly stopped by to do some outside walking training with me and she was amazed at how well behaved the dogs were compared to the first time she met them. No barking, jumping, or growling at her. They listened to commands and were sweet and lovable. I can't believe the difference Holly and Bark Buster's made in my two dogs. Oh, I know that it was partly me and following all the training steps but I am so happy I reached out and contacted Bark Busters.

Bonnie is the real deal! We had tried other training techniques with our 3 year old rescued Dachshund and were struggling to get our desired results. He had major separation anxiety and was always barking. We found Bark Busters and couldn't be any more thrilled. By the point we were 30 minutes into the lesson, I knew she was AMAZING! She is the trainer we had been looking for. The best part is she actually trained us on how to train our dog, so we are seeing the same results as when she was here. Thank you Bonnie for saving our family with Skeller, and restoring harmony in our home. Highly recommend!

Can't recommend Bark Busters enough. So professional and really amazing. Kelly turned my Thor's attitude around and made her so friendly. She was not very fun on walks and was not friendly. Now she has a much better attitude I love taking her out and she is much better socially. If you need a trainer look no further.
