Patrick was prompt, professional and patient. He presented the materially in an organized, easy to understand manner. He handled our questions well, and listened to our input. Best of all, we loved the changes resulting from using the Bark Busters training method.

We couldn’t be happier with the progress our dogs have made thanks to Jared! We started our journey with Jared last December, and from the start, he was incredibly understanding of the issues we were facing. Our dogs were experiencing serious sibling rivalry that led to intense fights, so we had to keep them apart. We also mentioned to Jared that neither of our dogs had any prior obedience training, to which he assured us that it would not be an issue and he would be happy to work on that as well.
PermalinkDuring our first couple of sessions, Jared focused on basic obedience training, which we diligently put into practice at home. We truly believe that it was this consistent obedience training, along with our commitment, that helped slowly reduce the sibling rivalry. Over time, the fights have been reduced to zero, we no longer separate them and they play together once again! Of course with a watchful eye to make sure no tension arises.
Jared has been so understanding and patient with both us and our dogs, and it really feels like he’s become part of the family. If you’re thinking about giving him a shot, we highly recommend it! Just keep in mind that progress takes time, so be patient with your pet(s) and yourself. It takes commitment from both you and your dog, but it’s absolutely worth it. We still have a long journey ahead with Jared but we couldn’t be more excited for it!

We had a great session! Our dog is already responding to the exercises and Carrie was great with her. Carrie was very helpful to us humans too with how best to interact with our dog for consistent results. I'm shocked by how well our dog is behaving already and can't wait to see how she improves with continued practice.

Just had my initial meeting with Deb and 100% recommend! She explained everything thoroughly and took my questions/concerns seriously while giving me guidance on how to address them. She showed me the techniques and I have seen great response from my girl in such a short time and cannot wait to keep working with her!

Amazing! Erin spent much longer with us than stated in our initial session to help with our rescued Fox Hound's bed aggression and a battery of other behavior/obedience issues. The results after one day have been more better than I expected! I highly recommend their services if you're willing to put time into daily training exercises (it IS do-able) - your pet is worth it!

Kyle is our guy for Richmond and he has changed our lives! My partner and I got our first dog Poppy-a 6 month puppy from the shelter. Within the first week of having her, she ripped out of her crate while we were both at work and chewed anything she could get her paws on. We did a quick google search and found Bark Busters and signed up that night. We are currently on the 3rd visit and our pup is an angel! Kyle has taught us how to effectively communicate with Poppy which has led to a strong puppy human relationship. I can rest well at night knowing that the only thing she will be chewing on will be the Nylabones we give her. Im so happy I will never have to research and pay for any other dog training services ever again!

We can’t say enough great things about Pete from Bark Busters! Our dog Rocky had some behavior issues that we were struggling to manage, but Pete’s guidance made a world of difference. From the very first visit, he provided us with clear, effective techniques that immediately helped Rocky improve. His patience, expertise, and passion for what he does truly stand out. Thanks to Pete, Rocky is much better behaved, and we feel more confident as dog owners. If you’re looking for a knowledgeable and compassionate trainer, we highly recommend Pete!
