We started seeing immediate results with some pretty simple changes in how we interact with our dog.
PermalinkSpencer was barking and charging at the door, overprotective, sometimes nipping at visitors, and always pacing. A thunderstorm or fireworks would have him and us up all night and very anxious.
Deb taught me how to take charge of the dog as the leader, and this immediately let Spencer relax and become much calmer. We started seeing changes within a day.
While I realize that to gain full benefit of the training techniques requires consistent and some longer term work on my part, I have a path to a solution.
Thank you Deb !

Training was very effective. The use of real life comparisons were very helpful. It is nice that training fits into everyday routines. Overall, Ken was very flexible and tailored our training to our exact needs!

Oh my God! Becky gave us a new dog in an hour and 45 minutes!!
PermalinkMy 13 year old daughter had just had it because Kato was just terrible to walk. He would pull you along, bark at other dogs, lunge at any distraction and generally made a pest of himself. She asked me to take him back to the rescue shelter. Now, Kato had a big yard when we had a house so we never walked him but now that we live in a dog-friendly apartment, he gets walked two to three times per day. I thought I would get bursitis if we kept this up. A co-worker recommended Bark Busters and I thought "well I'll try this to save Kato from being sent back to the rescue."
My prayers were answered! Without bribing or repeated requests, Kato began to understand what I needed him to do. Now, Kato walks by my side, comes when called, and a byproduct of the training: he no longer barks at other dogs. I also learned to listen to him and understand when, where, and why he becomes anxious. We take baby steps and Kato is our best friend again!
Thank you Becky!

I really enjoy how personable the training is, and very specific to each dog. I was able to see some changes right away. I'm very glad I called Bark Busters!

Learning and understanding dog body language was key to our understanding of Zorro. Plus the "Speaking Dog" training technique was immediately observable. We had no idea how to establish dominance over Zorro or why he behaved how he did. He had been sleeping on the bed and we learned why that cannot work at all. The kids were excited and interested as well. Ruth really understands dogs well.

We adopted a dog from a Rescue who had no prior training and had just about every bad habit you can imagine. He becomes extremely protective of the crate and spins and barks to the point you think he's going to take your hand off. He pulled so bad on the leash, you could get blisters just taking him in the pet store! Bobb was so terrific at helping us learn how to train Max to walk alongside us without pulling. We've only had two sessions so far and already we are seeing great progress! Max's episodes in the crate would last 10 minutes when we first got him, with the training methods he is down to about 20-30 seconds of barking and spinning. Bobb has such a great way of
Permalinkhelping us become leaders and teaching our dog to be a dog. If you have any issues, I highly recommend Bobb, don't wait thinking you can change your dog, Bobb's methods work quickly and reduce your stress and worry about your dog!

Jerry is an excellent dog trainer! We hired him for our two three-year-old dogs who never really received formal training. After two sessions with Jerry, we can see a noticeable difference in our dogs. Not only are they more mindful, but they seem much more relaxed as well as attentive to us as their pack leaders. Jerry taught us several skills that are both practical and easy to use and have made a big impact on the way our dogs behave both inside and outside of the home. And the best part is that they still have their same wonderful personalities! We have been very impressed with Jerry and look forward to working with him more in the future. I highly recommend him as a dog trainer.

Tyler is a 9 month old Pomeranian with a strong mindset to do things his very own way. Luis helped with Tyler's aggression toward all of my kitchen appliances. Before Bark Busters, Tyler would run, bark, screech and attack any appliance that was being used. He is making progress. This morning I opened the door to the dishwasher, Tyler moved away from the kitchen while I used the dishwasher and stood quietly watching me. I was so proud of him and immediately let him know that he is a very good boy.
PermalinkThank you Luis.
