I met Pete from Bark Busters 5 years ago. I was selling my house and moving into an apartment with 50 units in the building. My dog Leia, whom I had recently gotten from my cousin, was 10 years old and never trained. She was the alpha and did what she wanted when she wanted. She barked constantly and attacked other dogs. Pete came to my house and worked with Leia. My family marveled at the change in her. When an issue arose, Pete visited us again and solved the problem. You need to follow through with Pete’s suggestions and be consistent. Incidentally, the people in my building love Leia and look forward to seeing her.

Leia has a nervous stomach, and when she’s upset or worried, she vomits. When I go on vacation I leave her with Pete and Wendi because I know she will get the loving care she needs. I wouldn’t be able to go away if I had to board her anywhere else. Leia is family, and I need to know that she is well cared for and safe.

My training with Rob was great We really learned a lot about our dog and what we were doing wrong. He helped us understand Lucy and also helped us understand how to deal with our dog. We are all much better for it and very happy with Lucy. She is doing great and has become a great joy to be around. Thanks to Robert. He did an excellent job.

Thank you so much to Deb Boswell for her helpful training and information. Chance had bitten me so many times I was terrified of him. Thanks to Deb, we now have a pet we are proud to have in our home.

Photo of Zoey Our rescue mix, Zoey, came into our home this year and has been great with our disabled son (developmental delay, cerebral palsy). She is his playmate and his protector, but when she started growling and snapping at some of our home health aides we worried.

I'm so glad we called Bark Busters. Kurt showed us how to assure Zoey that she wasn't in charge and we were in control of our home. It made such a difference in how we understand and communicate with her. She is more relaxed and less anxious. She's still guarded with new aides, but she knows what is expected of her now.

Kurt made the techniques easy to learn and apply so that we saw immediate results. I am really impressed. Thanks, Kurt

Photo of Ruby Ruby has developed into a well behaved lovable dog thanks to Bark Busters training. Ruby is our third Hungarian Kuvasz, a breed known for being independent and strong willed, but we were concerned when she showed signs of aggression as early as three months old. Our vet recommended Bark Busters and we're glad we took his advice. Ruby is a different dog today than she was six months ago. She shows no aggression and has turned into a sweet, loving girl.

Maureen taught us how our behavior affected Ruby's behavior and the importance of showing Ruby that we are the pack leaders. We also appreciate now that training is a life long commitment. Ruby still has room for improvement but she is generally a well behaved dog that obeys most commands today. That's a significant transformation considering where we started.

I was blown away. In two hours it was like having a new dog! No jumping, chewing, nipping. He finally started to behave after 4 weeks of trying to train him on my own. I was ready to give the dog back. Thanks to Bob with Bark Busters we didn't have to. My son was so happy. I highly recommend Bark Busters.

Photo of Rambler Bob was really a gods blessing to us and our best friend. It was getting so bad my wife was becoming afraid of his aggression and nipping at people. He had even bitten (2) persons, until Bob. Now we have our little man under control, my wife is the strength instead of weakness. Great job Bob and God Bless You, for you saved our baby.

Colin and June are simply amazing! I adopted Charlie when he was four years old. Though he was very sweet and loving and became attached to me very quickly, his barking was uncontrollable, he was impossible to walk on a lead, he did not know even simple commands and he was extremely aggressive with other dogs. After just the first lesson I was able to walk Charlie around the block with no problems at all and his barking almost disappeared. Today, just six weeks after his first lesson, Charlie "graduated". During his last lesson, he was completely nonreactive to other dogs and actually tried to make friends with Colin and June's dog at the end of his lesson. I still can't believe the change in Charlie. I have already recommended Colin and June to family and friends and would happily and highly recommend them to anyone else.

Photo of Luna and Giselle We love Golden Retrievers! We've had them for more than 10 years. However, two dogs were not enough -- we wanted two more! Call us crazy, but we love Goldens! With the increased number of dogs, our two females close in age started displaying aggressive and growling behavior during play and feeding time. We also had grown slack in some basic behavioral expectations.
Thats when we decided to call Becky at Bark Busters -- she was a life saver. Becky provided clear, insightful instructions for the dogs and for me and my husband! Becky has great understanding into dog/human interaction yet makes it simple to retrain and help the dogs achieve good behaviors. We especially liked how easy all of the training was. With hands on direction, encouragement and live action exercises with each dog, Becky showed us how to direct and correct our actions and see preliminary results with our dogs. After Becky left, we continue to practicing with each dog incorporating her ideas and training. Our dogs have made considerable improvements using the Bark Buster techniques and exercises. She is also very accessible by phone and email to help with any further questions we have. And of course a great deal lies on our consistent use of the methods she taught us!
We highly recommend Becky and Bark Busters and believe you will greatly benefit from her knowledge, insights and practical instructions.

Photo of Gunner I have a cane corso that would bite anyone he came in contact with. Growl and charge people for no reason. For the past 2 years I have struggled on my own to train him. Within the first 20 minutes with Bob's guidance and training I had the dog I knew gunner could be. What a difference it was! I re-established my leadership and gunner responded immediately. Bob gave me confidence and relived me of my anxiety as well. Best of all....he gave me the dog I always knew I had but didn't know how to accomplish it on my own! I am looking forward to what he can teach me throughout the rest of the year!! Thank you Bob! I appreciate your guidance.
