I have been having reactivity issues with my shepherd mix Gizmo that have been worsening for the last few months. I have tried another dog training company in Denver in the past who came to my house and tried to sell me expensive e-collars and prong collars, without actually helping my dog's behavior. So, I was hesitant to spend money for another dog trainer, but Scott and BarkBusters has been worth every penny! What I love about Scott's approach is he teaches you how to communicate with your dog, and how to understand your dog's behavior so you can correct it. He has helped me build a new relationship with Gizmo, one in which he respects, trusts, and listens to me. The training tools that Scott provides (at no extra cost) are simple, easy to use, and cruelty free. After even just ONE session with Scott I could already see a change in Gizmo! Any dog parent of a reactive dog knows how difficult it is and how much anxiety it can produce (for both you and your pup), and for the first time in months I felt hopeful that change would actually be possible. So far Gizmo has made amazing strides with the help of Scott - he no longer leash pulls, he no longer has ball aggression, he doesn't bark when he hears a knock on the door, and his reactivity towards dogs on walks has significantly decreased. It is because he doesn't feel the need to be scared or protective, since he now views me as the pack leader when previously it was the other way around. I have a totally new understanding of relationship dynamics and dog behavior, which has been the key to having successful results so quickly. I am eternally grateful to Scott for what he's done for Gizmo and I, and it is so awesome knowing that if I ever need anything he is just a phone call away and will come for follow-up visits as needed for life!

I reached out to Chris last week and explained the issues I was having with my dog. He quickly responded, was flexible in regard to my schedule and had me on the books for a visit immediately. Shortly after, he provided me with some quick tips to work with my dog in the meantime prior to the first visit itself.
PermalinkUpon visiting, he was on time, professional, and kind. After explaining one issue in particular being aggression towards my twin brother, Chris listened intently to my brothers experiences, made sure to include him in the training and let him know that he is available to him for questions as well.
His knowledge on dogs and training was evident, I immediately knew I was in good hands. He opened my eyes to the differences in how we as people see the world as opposed to dogs. This understanding especially was eye opening and helpful. The training session itself was delivered in a simple, effective way, making it easier to be consistent continuing these methods in the future as an owner.
I can’t say enough positive things about this experience. With this base knowledge to put into practice, and knowing I can reach out to Chris as a resource I am confident I will see the positive changes I am looking for in my dog in the future.

Bonnie is wonderful! She certainly knows how to handle dogs. My husband and I learned so much today and look forward to working with our standard poodle a little each day. Ryan was amazing with educating us on K-9 communication and techniques of how to retrain him. Luca was a rescue with severe anxiety and fear of men, children and other animals which he acted out with severe aggression. Within minutes, Ryan started his transformation and it was simply bewildering to watch! Luca’s change is ongoing, his behavior is so different. We are so thankful for his guidance!!!

We recently moved and started having more behavioral problems with our rescue pit bull,Annie. She began having lots of aggression towards other dogs. She constantly pulled on the leash and was reactive when anyone walked by us. She also barked when in the back yard, constantly. Enrique was courteous and took his time during our first lesson. We are working with her every day and she has made SUCH an improvement. Thank you Enrique and Bark Buster's for helping our sweet girl. Will definitely recommend your services to anyone experiencing problems with their puppies!

We had great results with our dachshund, she is better behaved and listens when we give her commands.Theresa is very knowledgeable about canines, we have followed her instructions and advice. On our 2nd visit our baby was very relaxed.
