Very positive. Helpful to walk and practice loose leash walking! Talked about ways to communicate effectively with our dog!

Josh was very helpful in guiding me to make the appropriate corrections with my dog's behavior. Xena made tremendous improvement during the visit and I'm sure will continue to do so with the tools and lessons learned in my session.

It was my pleasure working with Ben from Bark Busters. I’ve had many dogs in my lifetime but never experienced Doggie Anxiety until I got my dog Pepper.
PermalinkWe couldn’t leave her alone in the house by herself for any length of time without returning home to find shredded house curtains and venetian blinds.
In our 1 initial consultation, Ben was able to give me sound advice on how to treat our situation. He was able to do more in 1 hour than I was able to do in the 2 months that we’ve had Pepper ( our adopted German Shepherd mix from PG Animal Control). He was able to without any force get Pepper to go into her crate and after a few minutes she actually went to sleep. She wouldn’t go near the crate before Ben worked with her.
I feel more relaxed and confident in myself and ready to embark on this journey with our dog.
She wasn’t a bad dog I was a bad Dad. Ben helped me see things from Pepper's perspective not mine.
I would highly recommend Ben and Bark Busters over other trainers. No need for shock collars and physical force. Just training, patience and love.

After 2.5 months of no success getting our puppy and 5-year-old dog to get along, I looked into training options. A few places said they couldn't help the dogs' relationship, they could only help teach our puppy good manners. Our high-energy puppy is about as in-your-face as you can get. Our older dog barks at him, bares his teeth and, when all else fails, tries to get away from him. But the puppy doesn't take no for an answer, even following our dog into his crate.
PermalinkPete from Bark Busters was great at teaching us how to level the playing field and get our puppy to back off when needed.
In the 2.5 months of having our puppy, we had not been able to get them to sit on a couch or chair together. Pete helped with that.

Mariah was friendly, knowledgeable, easy to understand and patient with us as we learned to be better leaders. Her methods do not include punishments that could make our Tazzy Bear more reactive or fearful. We noticed a huge change after our first meeting. A whole family of littles walked by while we were on leash and after a couple of corrective words he stopped barking, sat down and focused only on me. So happy we chose Bark Busters to help with our 3 year old dog’s reactive behaviors. Thank you Mariah!

My 4 year old Pomeranian had a lot of behavioral issues that I was struggling so hard to correct. He was always territorial of his food, places in the house and me and would even resort to biting to guard these things. He would also bark nonstop in the house when he heard dogs outside and no command could stop him. He would also be very reactive to other dogs in public which would always stress me out when we were out to the point where I wasn’t able to enjoy being out with him. This always made me so sad to have to leave him in the house all the time because of his reactivity. I was desperate for change and was so scared that he wouldn’t be able to change since he is already almost 4 and has very severe habits. However, Justin has completely changed him. I was skeptical when they said we would see results within the first session but it was absolutely true. After just one session, he became the quietest dog on our block. He wouldn’t respond at all to the dogs barking around our neighborhood. He became so well behaved, some family members became worried because of how quiet he stayed. The biggest miracle is him not being territorial anymore. This has ensured my family of complete safety around the house. I never thought my dog would be able to learn how to heel, but Justin showed him how in the first session which completely astonished me. A few days after our first session, I was able to take my dog out to the mall and it was the first time I was able to enjoy being out with him. He would quietly wait under the table while we ate and didn’t react to dogs he would come across while we were walking. Justin has been absolutely amazing. It is so comforting to have someone of his caliber and expertise guiding you and genuinely caring about you and your dog. He makes every effort to make sure he is able to help with whatever you need and always emphasizes that he is only one text away. He always finds a way to fit you into his schedule and is a complete joy to be around. When they say he is the last trainer you’ll ever need, they mean it. Investing in training my dog has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. Both me and my dog have become less stressed and are both now able to enjoy life to the fullest.

Kendra is great. She is patient and supportive. She shows us what she wants us to do and helps us achieve success before she leaves. She gives us "homework" and is attentive to questions in between sessions. We have only worked with her a short time and we have already seen huge improvements with our pack. I would recommend her to anyone having fur baby issues. We are excited to see what will be next and we are hoping to have even more success as time moves forward. Check her out. We love her.

This was our first time using the Bark Busters method and I am a huge fan! Their methods worked instantly and were easy to follow! Ben was great at demonstrating and explaining everything to us.
PermalinkUPDATE: Ben came back out to help us out today. There was no additional cost since that is included in the original pricing. We had managed to confuse our dog, who is one of the most docile breeds around, and he had developed some more aggressive behaviors. Again, within MINUTES of Ben walking us through what to do, we saw a completely different dog! I cannot say enough good things about what Barkbusters does! It is simply amazing!!
