Pam is the best! I have a rescued miniature golden-doodle that, unfortunately, was neglected for her first year. Pam has come in to help me do basic training, such as come, sit, stay, as well as how to approach Coco’s fear of the world. Pam is amazing at working around schedules and understanding a busy lifestyle. She gives you tips and tricks as well as suggestions that are extremely doable, even if you are busy. More importantly…. she knows dogs-all breeds.
PermalinkSince I started with Bark Busters aka Pam, Coco’s confidence has skyrocketed! We are still working on things everyday but coming from hiding in a different room to coming up and smelling strangers/greeting them at the door I think is a huge leap in the short time we have worked with Pam. Coco’s posture, demeanor, and general happiness have all improved and it simply boils down to Pam.
About a month or so ago I moved to a new house. As you can imagine, Coco had some adjusting to do. Fence was an issue and being busy with the move/work made it hard to stay up on training (my fault). Coco started misbehaving such as not coming when called from outside or jetting out the door every once in awhile wanting to play. I told Pam and she was on it. She explained dog to me in human language and helped develop a new approach to get her back on track. We just started these new techniques last week, but they do seem to be starting to make a difference.
I would 100% recommend Pam to ANYONE for training. Whether you need basic training help, advanced help, or anywhere in between-she is your gal. If you are concerned with the price, don’t be! Initially I thought price was high, but after working with Pam I feel as if I already have gotten what I paid for. I’m only a few months in by the way, and this program can be for as long as you want/need if you follow the process. Call her today, you won’t regret and neither will your man’s best friend.

Sharon at Bark Busters is absolutely amazing!!! She has taught me so much as a first time dog owner like house breaking, crate training, dealing with separation anxiety, and chewing. She's helped me understand how to communicate with my pup without the need for treats as well. Can't recommend her enough!

I recently adopted an older Labrador Retriever who is sweet as the day is long, but initially a bit of a challenge. I can impart basic manners, but this dog liked my elderly cat for all the wrong reasons, and he quickly developed a taste for counter-surfing. His inclination outdoors, was to put his nose down and follow it. I felt pretty overwhelmed and wondered for a while if I would even keep the dog. Then I connected with Bonnie and everything turned around. She assessed our situation quickly and accurately, and she gave intuitive, positive, and non-coercive methods that worked VERY well for us. She took the time to explain reasons behind behaviors and training options. She was readily available for consult, advice and support. Her input and training are the reasons why I now have a dog who is manageable, pleasant to be around, stays off the counter and table, and finds the cat downright boring. I highly recommend reaching out to Bonnie if you and your canine buddy need some help getting everyone to a more comfortable place.

Michael and Lydia have been really wonderful to work with, and our pup Sunny just loves them! We wanted to get in-home training help with our pup when we first got her because we could tell she was going to be stubborn, sassy, and have lots of opinions. We knew she needed boundaries, but we had no idea where to begin, even after all of the research and YouTube videos. Doing your own research only goes so far until you need a professional to help you with YOUR specific dog and their personality! I was initially hesitant to hire Bark Busters with the one-time flat fee for the dog's entire life, but once I met Michael at our first session and he taught me how to understand my dog and how to gain authority in my home while still giving her all the love and attention she needed, I was so sold. They focus on training that is sustainable and is highly effective without the use of harmful items like shock collars and electric fences. Truly any time we have struggled with any behavioral issues with Sunny, Bark Busters is just a call, text, or audio message away. They are great communicators, so very patient and kind, you can tell they always know what they're doing and how to gain control over the dog in countless scenarios. They walk you through every step, and they focus on teaching YOU how to train your dog well in and out of the home, rather than just doing the training FOR you. They are always there for us when we need them. I already recommend them to our friends and family, and will continue to do so! We love you, Michael and Lydia! Sunny's and our quality of life have improved SO MUCH since you started helping us! Thank you!!!

John was absolutely very informative and educated in dog/pet behavior. He was very patient with all our questions. It was an absolute pleasure to learn from him!

Oh my GOD! Pascha was beyond incredible. I have already seen a huge improvement with my incredibly reactive dog. For the first time in months I have hope that I can help Canela feel safe and improve some of her behaviors. Highly recommend!

I started working with Bark Busters 8 years ago when my dog was experiencing separation anxiety. The knowledge, ongoing support and training helped my dog to reduce his anxiety in a short period of time. I was incredibly pleased. Recently, as our dog has aged, he has been resorting to barking when we leave the house, because I was so please in the past, I reached out to them a gain. I received an immediate response and the advice and support was incredible. I have in interesting situation because I live in both the US and Canada. During the time of my dog's struggles, I worked with both a trainer in Canada and the US. I cannot express how please I was with both trainer's support. I have worked closest with Pat Conn in the US. What a wise and supportive person he is. As you can imagine, when you know your dog's barking is disturbing your neighbors, it is stressful. Pat not only gave me incredible guidance (consistently), but he also reduced my stress. I highly recommend Bark Busters and would be happy to answer any questions that someone may have.

We have been amazed by the progress our 2.5 yr old rescue dog and 5 month old rescue puppy have had with our 2 training sessions with Michael so far! In just the initial session, our 2 dogs went from excessive barking and jumping when guests would come to our house to being calm and quiet. We have learned how to "speak dog" and help our pups feel more comfortable and less reactive. We can now have guests come over without the extra stress of dogs that may bark and lunge towards the guests the entire time. We are so excited to see additional progress as we continue our work with Bark Busters.

We’ve been working with Jenna at Bark Busters for about six months to help our rescue chihuahua mix, Mimi, and the progress has been amazing. We started training just two weeks after adopting her. She came to us with several behavior issues due to past trauma. She had been rescued, returned once, and then fostered before joining our family.
PermalinkAt first, Mimi had severe separation anxiety. She would escape her playpen, pace, and howl loudly whenever we left the house. Now, with Jenna’s guidance and the time we’ve put into her training, we can leave her alone for up to three hours. She’ll fall asleep and wait for us quietly. You can see her in one of the photos we attached.
She was also very reactive to other dogs, making walks and public outings tough. With Jenna’s help, she’s much calmer now. We can take her on walks and even to restaurants with dogs around. We’re currently introducing her to other dogs slowly. While she still stays on a leash and sometimes growls or nibbles, she’s able to get very close. That’s a huge improvement from where we started.
Training Mimi has helped her become more confident, happy, and relaxed. We’re so grateful for Jenna’s support and excited to keep working with her to help Mimi live her best life.
Highly recommend Bark Busters to anyone with a rescue pup who needs extra care and guidance.
