I have seen so much improvement in my dog, Emma. We adopted her from a shelter and in the time she was there she developed a lot of bad habits that were so hard to break that it became beyond me to fix. My boyfriend and I were at our last end with her when we reached out to Theresa. Emma is also training to be a service dog for me so a lot of these training exercises were so crucial for her to learn and perfect before we could continue. Before the training she would jump on people, wouldn’t come to us when we called her, would chew everything up that we owned, would go absolutely ballistic in her kennel when we left, would use the bathroom in the house, and would pull on her leash so hard I would lose circulation in my hand trying to control her. 3 1/2 weeks in and she hasn’t destroyed anything, she doesn’t pull anymore, she walks right at my side, the jumping is minimal, the attention seeking is minimal, she doesn’t bolt out the door and waits for us to call her out the door, the kennel anxiety has dramatically decreased, and we can finally look away from her for 2 seconds without being terrified that she’s going to mess something up or get herself in trouble and we can finally relax. She’s so much more enjoyable to be around now and I think she’s more relaxed as well and she even seems so much happier with us.

My partner & I rescued a German Shepherd mix in August of 2021 who is sweet as can be but struggled with severe separation anxiety. We worked with several trainers before meeting Adam and didn’t have much success, which meant we couldn’t leave our dog alone at all. Adam taught us how to communicate with our dog better and was thoughtful and patient in his training process. He understood our dogs unique needs and provided us with successful solutions— we are now able to leave her at home while we work without her being disruptive or destructive. It’s honestly a miracle! Thank you Adam! Our rescue girl is living her best life knowing that being alone at home while we work is only temporary!

Scott and Holly were so helpful and supportive during our training. Their knowledge helped us better understand our extremely nervous pup and set her up for success. By the end of our session, we had breakthroughs with both of our fur babies and have seen results within the first 24 hours. We are so grateful to have them in our corner as we navigate this new chapter.

We can’t thank Bark Busters and Larry Rudginsky enough for our now well-behaved dog. We were desperate and needed immediate help for our then10-month-old mini-Aussie due to inappropriate barking at neighborhood dogs who barked uncontrollably all day long. We were also unable to take Kiwi out of our driveway or walk him on the street because of his behavior of herding and lunging at cars. We are amazed at Kiwi’s transformation! Training in our home environment was necessary since Kiwi’s previous training was not able to address the difficulties we faced. After several training visits teaching us how to be effective dog parents as well as the skills to employ during problem behaviors, we now have a well-trained dog who is a joy to be around. We couldn’t be happier with our decision to use Bark Busters and Larry. We highly recommend both Larry and Bark Busters, if you want to end your dogs problem behavior for good.

I had the great opportunity to work with Damon from Bark Busters to help with my dog Tobi with training. Damon is a really great instructor with clear communication and very informative. The session focused on getting to the root cause of some of the habits Tobi was doing such as his separation anxiety, barking and demands. Most of the other training methods I tried did not focus on this, and this is one big differentiator.
PermalinkThe lesson was structured very well, and did not feel too long or too short. It had specific exercises to help alleviate the issues we are trying to control. The training method they use is different and is focused on communicating with your dog. This is another reason why I was really interested and impressed with this type of training.
I was really impressed with the effectiveness of this training. After going through just a few days of the training which Damon showed us, Tobi was adjusting really quick. It was impressive to see our dog change his behavior after the first day, and also progressively get better over the next few days.
I would definitely recommend this service to anyone who is looking to train their dog or look for help on separation anxiety/barking. It is exceptional!
