We had a small sized boxer before kids and loved her so much. After she passed and COVID hit we decided to get 2 boxers puppies since we would have the time to train them. It was great in the first year and then they started to overpower us with muscle and boxing like play and especially with young kids. I started to notice they were acting like they were more in charge and I felt desperate after some nipping behavior. Michael from Bark Busters truly has helped me changed the tone in our house. I was amazed at how simple the training is to follow and receptive our dogs were after just a few exercises. I have had tears of joy watching the shift in our relationship with the dogs! Thank you from the bottom of the McGillis Family hearts.

Have now had 3 sessions with Holly and they have been so helpful! She has talked and walked us through ways to guide our puppy's learning, and to do it with positive reinforcement not treats. He already walks better on a leash, he is calmer when we have guests, and so much more. I love the Bark Buster approach to teaching and learning. Thanks Holly!

Omar and Ryanne do a great job with our 3 dogs. They are punctual and they give us useful training techniques. Would recommend giving them a try.

I have received such great guidance with my new puppy. He is rather large and I have never trained a dog before I have learned how to handle him when he doesn’t want to listen as well as in some situations that were challenging for me. The trainer that I have is extremely knowledgeable and knows how to handle dogs quite easily; it is definitely a gift! I am so grateful that I learned about Bark Busters ! My trainer is eager to share information and it is so obvious that he wants the best for my dog and I.

Pete is very knowledgeable of dog behavior. He recognized that Gracie is not an aggressive dog, but is nervous around strangers and also resource guards. After a few sessions Gracie trusted Pete to
Permalinkwalk her and hand feed her treats. Pete provided many training instructions for me to reinforce positive behavior and which have been very successful for Gracie. I would definitely recommend Pete as a dog trainer.

We spent 3 hours going over a game plan, what is wrong and starting points to work on over the next few weeks.

About 6 months ago, I adopted a dog from our local rescue. He was 4-years-old, so I figured we would have NONE of the normal puppy behaviors. Boy was I wrong! I watched every video, read every article on how to overcome separation anxiety, peeing when a new guest came over, and aggression. And nothing I did worked. I mean nothing. I hired one trainer who believes in treat training. The only problem was, I didn't always have a treat with me. I was ready to give up, but had fallen in love with Patches, so failure was not an option.
PermalinkThen I met Bonnie and our whole world changed. Our relationship changed. I stopped screaming "No" at every bad behavior. And I learned to communicate with Patches in a way he understood. Almost overnight, he started listening. At first I thought it was too good to be true. But by practicing the exercises she gave us for about 10 minutes each day, he was no longer afraid. Of guests, other dogs or my leaving.
My only regret? I didn't call her sooner. I could have saved myself from 6 months of stress!

We adopted a 10-month-old hound mix, and as first-time dog owners, our trainer, Chris, has been instrumental in our training process. He’s always available via text if we have any questions, and he meets with us regularly. From the time the first time we met with Chris, our ability to communicate with our dog increased significantly. Chris listens to us and our dog and helps us determine the best way to navigate his behaviors. We highly recommend him to any first-time dog owners or anyone in general who is looking to understand their dog better.

Sharon is excellent, and we would absolutely recommend her services to others. We reached out to her for assistance with our six-month-old golden retriever. Sharon is very responsive, thorough, patient, and kind, and she explains the rationale behind dog behaviors. She taught us how to communicate with our puppy in a way she would understand. Additionally, there are no fear-based tactics and you do not have to rely on treats to correct behavior. Sharon remains flexible and available for ongoing needs and provides several supplemental materials for ongoing reminders. We saw immediate improvements in our ability to communicate with our puppy and in our puppy’s behaviors after the first meeting. Another big perk is that the training can be ongoing (if needed) for the life of the dog. I am so thankful that we found Sharon!
