I cannot say enough positive things about Jason. He was kind, professional and understanding. I didn't think anyone would be able to help us solve the issues with our dog, but within minutes Jason had already helped us resolve one of the main issues - incessant barking. Our jaws literally dropped! It was like magic. Jason took the time to listen to our concerns and gave us the tools to train our dog. He was patient with us as we tried the techniques and encouraged us along the way. After all, most of dog training is training the human. I would highly recommend Jason to anyone!

Lynne has given us hope. She carefully watched our dog's behavior and gave us recommendations for training steps to try to help him overcome his separation anxiety. We know it will take time, but we are seeing progress towards the goal of reducing his fear and gaining confidence. Our training is customized to our dog and instructions specific to life in our home. We are dedicated to following the training plan and know that Lynne is available to help us along the way with modifications as needed and insight into behavior so we can adjust the plan to help relieve his separation anxiety.

My roommates told me my dog barked the entire time I was away and wanted me to move out. Instead, I got help. Mike's separation anxiety wasn't what I thought, I thought it was a sign of love by instead learned it was misplaced responsibility. Since I've been practicing leadership he is happier and calmer when I'm gone.

Nicole is incredible to work with and her methods truly deliver results. She helped us set boundaries and generally calm down our two very stressed out terriers right before our first human baby arrived. We cannot speak highly enough of the work that she does!

we have worked with two prior trainers before finding Luis. other trainers, while highly recommended did not assist us in establishing lasting behavior change. bribery with a cookie is easy to establish, but does not lay the foundation for respect. we have a very loving dog, but he thought he was human and his excitement and separation anxiety was heartbreaking and embarrassing. if we took him out for a walk and I went into a shop - even though left with my husband - our dog would create a scene to get to me. putting on my shoes for a walk or returning to the home was met with jumping and uncontrollable excitement. Luis is honestly amazing. he makes taking control easy to establish with a few simple steps. he is responsive and kind. we still have a very sweet dog (still thinks he is human, maybe out fault), but we also have a dog who is calm and a pleasure to take out with us. he is much safer around our son without the excitement and jumping, and everyone in the house is happier.

I am so happy I had Michael come over to me work with my foster dog. He is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, personable, and gave clear instructions. He worked with not just the foster dog, but my other 2 dogs which was totally unexpected and so valuable. I learned so much from his visit and cannot thank him enough. If you are hesitant about hiring a trainer, definitely reach out to Michael. You will not regret it!

Michael is very professional and clear with his instructions. He makes the training easy to grasp for the owners but it is extremely effective and most importantly it is not harmful or abusive to your pet.

I’m very happy with the progress I have seen in my dog, Bleu, since working with Harvey. We’ve been to “training classes” before and never had results like this. Our initial meeting with Harvey was only a few hours and I wasn’t sure how that would fix all the concerns we had, but with continued practice with Bleu, it really has!
PermalinkBleu had many problems from jumping when meeting new people, pulling while walking on a leash, running while going up and down stairs, anxiety around other dogs & believing he had to protect me from everything while outside on our walks. The change in his behavior in the last month has been incredible, even the staff at our vets office commented on how much better he is doing. He no longer pulls on his walks, he slowly walks down stairs now and is much more relaxed when encountering other dogs. He has learned to trust me so he doesn’t have to be on high alert when we go out for walks.
One of the best things about the training was that Harvey explained dog behavior and how some of the things I was doing was actually encouraging Bleus anxiety and fear. Changing how I reacted also changed how Bleu reacted.
Harvey has gone above and beyond for us and anytime I have a question or need to work on something with Bleu, he is just phone call away and always willing to meet up if needed. I highly recommend Harvey and the Bark Busters training for any dog!
