What an improvement on day 1. The techniques and guidance provided by Joshua are already helping. He helped distinguish " act of correction" rather than actually correcting. Highly recommend!

We have 3 crazy energetic boxers (all rescues). When we moved into our new home last year one of our fur babies started getting aggressive with guests who visited the house. We were very concerned. We called to get more info and Whitney talked us through the entire program and was so nice. Heather came to our house and worked with all the dogs. She taught us how to stop the anxiety and bad behavior. I knew training was going to help but I didn’t realize we would see such drastic results from just 2 visits! The price for all three dogs was lower than I expected too! There’s just an extra fee per dog instead of having to pay full price for each dog. We highly recommend

Jeri has helped my husband and I SOO much become better leaders for our dogs, Copper (2-year-old Bernedoodle) and Blossom (1 year old Bernese Mountain dog). She is so kind, inciteful, and very quick to respond. We recently adopted Blossom, who did not seem to have any prior training before us. We have working on her walking on a leash, not jumping up, not chewing everything she can get her mouth on, being more patient, and recall. Copper only really needed work on not jumping up and better recall. They both have excelled SO much with Jeri's lesson plan that she has provided us with! Not only has this taught us more about our dogs, but also about us and we have been shaped into better leaders for them. It's only been two months since we started training with Jeri, but I cannot wait to see how much better they will be by the end of the year. Highly recommend!!

Google Review: "If have been looking for an amazing place and people to train your four legged family member, this is it!! I cannot say enough about the amazing experience we have had. We rescued a very trouble sweet girl who was afraid of everyone and saw everyone as someone who could hurt her. Instead of sending our sweet girl away to get trained some where, Betty and Rachel came to our home. They had amazing patience and their skill, knowledge, and expertise have changed our lives and our sweet Izzy's. They even worked with our older dog who wad stubborn and co dependent. If it weren't for them I honestly not sure Izzy would have stayed because of her aggression and these wonderful ladies saved her life and ours."

We recently adopted a sweet, adorable Cavachon who immediately turned our household upside down. I have had several puppies throughout my life but have never had such an active, mischievous lil fur monster. After a lot of reading of training to no avail and a lot of research of training methods, we decided we wanted someone to come to the house so we would be involved in what and how she was trained. We wanted to make sure we knew what to do now and in the future. We did not want to send her away for a couple of weeks with no contact and not know what to do if we had issues when she came home. So, we settled on Joanne with Bark Busters. It was the best decision we ever made. After our first visit we felt confident that we were taught the tools to give the consistency and training our puppy needed. Within 2 weeks her behavior had improved significantly using the training and tools Joanne taught us. It has been so rewarding watching her respond to our instructions and corrections. We still have a bit to go but we have no doubt we will get there without all the stress!!!!!!

We were having aggression, possession, barking, leash manners, table manners, and separation anxiety with our dog, and were losing hope. We got our dog during Covid so he is not well socialized and has anxiety and attachment issues. We had tried the Bark Busters program before when our dog was younger with another trainer in a different area before we moved to Richmond and unfortunately, it didn't go well. But then, along came Kyle. He turned it around for us.
PermalinkKyle has been an amazing dog trainer and the best one my husband and I have had. He cares and wants to get to know his clients to build a lasting relationship with them which is something that I personally appreciate. Kyle told us that he wanted to be a part of our dog Wade's success story which was really nice to hear. Our dog is going to turn 5 in December. We have been seeing Kyle once a month for about two months now and we have seen much improvement in our dog. Kyle is very knowledgeable in his work and you can tell that he has a passion for and loves what he does! He always has a positive and can-do attitude and is more than willing to go above and beyond at training. Our dog Wade has already gotten so much better with table manners, door possession, and his separation anxiety. We have even gotten two compliments from the apartment complex we live in saying that our dog has been much better with his barking and separation anxiety which is a HUGE WIN for us!!
I could write so much more, but needless to say, if you are looking for a great dog trainer who knows what he's talking about and is passionate about helping people understand how to speak "dog" look no further. Kyle is the best and we will continue to use him for the lifetime of our dog.
