Evan came highly recommended to us by a friend and my husband and I are SO GRATEFUL we listened. Our dog was a little over 1 year old and she was still pulling on walks, getting overly excited and jumping on anyone that came near her, as well as not listening to us for simple commands such as “come”. We came all the way up to Michigan from Nashville and set up training sessions. Evan met up with us and was immediately kind, patient, and extremely informative. We worked with him for a few hours and already after the first session we saw improvement with our pup. Once we learned how to properly train her, the rest wasn’t easy but it was worth it. We had to stay disciplined ourselves in keeping with all the training practices but after a couple months we feel like we have a new dog! She is now a great listener, is MUCH less reactive, and she has stopped pulling on her leash as if she were a sled dog. All that to say, we couldn’t have accomplished any of this without Evan. We are now recommending him to anyone who’s looking for some help dog training. Thank you again, Evan, for your service with us!

The training session was as valuable for us as for our pet. It helped us understand the puppy's behavior and how to best get through to her. The challenge is now on us. Consistency, consistency, and celebrating every small win.

My main worry was his anxiety, yet he was able to remain by his crate calm alone for 25 minutes. I am in awe and can not wait to continue his exercises so that Milo can live a stress free life with me. I appreciate being supported by Karen.

I rescued Milo a year and a half ago. He is a sweet dog, however, he began having severe separation anxiety if I left the house. I tried several exercises when didn’t work. Other unwanted behaviors began to surface and I realized that I was not communicating well with him and he believed he was in charge! I called Bark Busters in the hopes of a solution. Karen started by having me realize how dogs REALLY communicate. That was an eye-opener! Then she began teaching me how to communicate and set “rules”. I immediately began to see changes in Milo’s response! I was blown away!! However, I was still worried about the separation. I had a crate that was folded and put away. Karen made me realize that he needed the crate as his own safe place to be. We set the crate up, made it nice and comfy and put some treats in there and in he went. That also shocked me because I tried the crate when I first got him, but failed miserably, and he did not like it at all. We then took it a step further and left him in the room with the door closed for 20 minutes! I was in AWE to say the least.
PermalinkI know this process takes time, but I feel so reassured knowing that if I encounter a difficulty, I can always contact Karen. No other company I have ever researched provides ongoing support for both me and my best buddy. I feel very secure, knowing that I am now in the beginning stages of making Milo, a happy stress-free dog🐶.
So grateful for Bark Busters!!!!

Kevin is the best dog trainer I have ever had a pleasure to work with. His passion for dogs and life is crystal clear and his energetic energy can't help but make you smile and be happy!! He breaks down training steps so easily and doesn't continue on to the next until everyone 100% understands what to do and why. I learned so much during Kevin's visit that it felt like I was in school learning about the funnest topic and left the session feeling confident. Kevin never made me feel rushed during the session and was more than willing to come back in the future for follow ups, if necessary. It was so easy to schedule with Bark Busters and the price for two dogs was incredible and un beatable! Customer service on the phone was top notch and I was surprised that they work with you/PayPal for a payment plan, if needed. I also very much appreciated the fact that they train in your home and they do not train with treats or collars - just on building trust and security. I received a few "free" items during the session in order to set my pups up for success and was not expecting that. I would highly recommend Bark Busters and dog trainer Kevin!!

my sweet puppy was struggling with resource guarding. we couldn’t have guests over because he would have so much anxiety, would lunge at them, bark, air bite. Derek and Lissette came in and helped us, not even an hour later my roommate had a friend over and he was so chill and calm about it! we’ve been having people over with no problems since. thank you so much bark busters!! ❤️
