My husband and I chose Bark Busters to help with our rescue pup a few years ago and we couldn’t be happier. When we first adopted our dog, Nomi, she was unsocialized and afraid of everything, including us. We did our best to get her comfortable in our home but after a few months of very slow progress we realized we needed help.
PermalinkAfter our first session with Deb, we saw a huge transition in our dog. She gave us the tools to help Nomi feel more confident which led to her being more social and less scared. After practicing what Deb taught us we were able to get Nomi on walks (something she was too scared to do before), learn basic commands and not be so scared of new people. After a few months of reinforcing the training Deb gave us, Nomi was a completely different dog! She’s so happy, loves to play, loves people and is such a good and sweet dog.
We recently reached out to Deb because Nomi was getting aggressive towards other dogs while on walks. She came out to our house again and showed us how to work with Nomi to stop her aggressive behavior. After just a week of working with Nomi we’re already seeing a change. There is still work to do, but I am confident if we keep working with her she will stop the unwanted aggression.
I would highly recommend Bark Busters to anyone who needs help with their dog. Deb is professional, patient and very good at explaining how to communicate with your dog.

I really enjoyed our first training session. Jef is knowledgeable, informarive, and giving me the confidence I need to help our puppy through her extreme puppy fears. I am hopeful, after just three hours. Exhausted after our workout!

We are so excited to be able to learn such an effective method for training our 2 year old bernedoodles and from such a knowledgable and compassionate trainer. Scott is so passionate in his training and teaching. Our dogs immediately responded to the teaching techniques and remain relaxed and confident as we add training opportunities. Scott came out to help me with teaching my wonderful pitbull, Kibeth, not to chase my cats, to understand that I'm in charge, and to walk on a loose leash. He was so good with her. He got her to calm down as soon as he walked in, got her to understand what she should be doing immediately, and taught me what to do. We just did our first walk since the loose leash training and she has never been so well behaved on a walk. I've been able to stop her going after my cats in mid chase. She listens to me very well in the house and our relationship has improved so much. I love Scott's methods because I did not want to use a training method that would hurt or scare her. All of the methods are gentle and easy for me to learn.
