OMG Scott is AMAZING! I initially sought out a trainer as my elderly dog who is 14 years old, who was used as a bait dog before I adopted her, is aggressive when she sees other dogs. Like seriously, she can spot them from a mile away and will even growl, jump, and lunge when she sees them on TV. I contacted Bark Busters-Scott, as I was DESPERATE. We could not go on one normal walk EVER, without her growling at other dogs and wanting to lunge, jump and pull on the leash every time she spotted one from far away. While on walks I can only describe it as her walking me, instead of the other way around.

When I called to set up an appointment for her, I was told Scott could take me but not until the end of July, and admittedly I was disappointed as I was just SO DESPERATE for help with her. When he was told of our situation he was able to move his schedule and booked me for the 3rd of June instead. Within the first 10 minutes I noticed a huge improvement, not only with my dog Jaz, but mainly with me as I am not usually a very authoritative person. He helped me SO QUICKLY after starting our session. I liked that we practiced in doors before even heading outside to try to attempt to go on a walk. I was FLOORED once we walked outside and she didn't even bat an eye at other dogs while walking at the lake. My jaw dropped and i'm pretty sure its still on the floor, because my dog has never EVER been as attentive and in sync with me throughout the four years i've had her. I am excited to work on homework with her, because if she was able to listen, stand by my side, and not lunge, growl, pull on the leash within 20 minutes of the session, I cannot imagine what consistent practice will do.

I have nothing but great things to say about Scott. I am floored!!! If you are on the fence about it, it is worth EVERY PENNY and you should call immediately to book their services!

We made the decision to seek out professional help when our otherwise gentle 20-month old Janey started to show signs of aggression towards dogs and people with whom she was not familiar. We noticed that her anxiety, when either of us wasn’t in sight, was also intensifying. Prior to contacting Keith at Bark Busters, we were told by a trainer that Janey wasn’t aggressive, but rather very “defensive.” He believed she needed more intensive behavioral training than he had time to provide and suggested that we enroll her in a 2-week “bootcamp”. We were concerned that a two-week separation could be detrimental and began searching the internet for a local dog behavioral therapist who could also work with us, as we are first time dog owners. That’s when we found Keith at Bark Busters.
Keith’s initial visit to the house lasted several hours. He assessed us as dog owners, reviewed the questionnaire we completed and then met Janey, whose issues with strangers were apparent. Keith was very soft-spoken and positive, which happened to be a perfect approach for her. The next time Keith came to the house, Janey approached him like an old friend.
So far, Keith has made a few house visits and within several weeks of following the agreed upon plan we have seen considerable progress. He has also made himself available to our inquiries via text message or email and always replies promptly. Just recently he agreed to meet us at a neutral location with other family members to assist with introductions prior to an upcoming vacation.
Janey has learned to respect the boundaries set regarding visitors and other dogs with whom she’s come in contact. The excessive pulling during walks is almost nonexistent. By no means is her behavior perfect, but since Day 1, we’ve seen an improvement. We’re confident that we’ll continue to make meaningful strides.
We highly recommend Keith and Bark Busters.

Photo of I was skeptical about this appt, but after Josh's visit, I feel comfortable that I did the right choice for my dog. Josh is very calm and confident which is good bc my dog has scared her past trainers and he was cautious but firm with my dog.

Zoey has been really struggling with the new baby in the home and feeling the need to protect him. We worked with her today and now with Josh and Emily showing her leadership and that she does not have to be on guard she can finally start to relax. I am looking forward to her progress over the coming weeks.

Jager was becoming increasingly more protective and possessive of me when I was on the couch or on my bed. He would growl at my husband and show his teeth. When I wasn't around Jager was great with my husband. One day when we were eating in our family room and Jager was at my husband's feet, my husband leaned over quickly to see our granddaughter on whats app and he accidentally stepped on the dogs tail and he lounged at my husband and caught him on the lip. We have a young grand daughter and were very concerned with the dog around her. So I researched and discovered Bark Busters and read great reviews of Donald Cohen the dog behavior expert for our area. He came out and taught us behavioral basics and we can't believe the difference in Jager. IF he does growl slightly we immediately correct him and he lays down. He is very good with our grand daughter and will walk away from her if she gets very active around him. We highly recommend Bark Busters and Donald! Bark Busters is a life long training program.. Call anytime and Donald wiull come out and observe and train.

The Lane's were great students who learned quickly how to communicate with their dog. They now are enjoying their relationship far more than before their call to Bark Busters!

Josh is great, really learned a lot from him that helped our dog and mostly gave us key tactics that we could apply immediately. Highly recommend!

Lucy is a very smart pup but has been struggling with door manners, jumping on guests, and barking at the front door. We taught her some new rules in the home, and she responded very well. We also addressed her fear of noises. I am looking forward to her progress over the coming weeks.
