Ivy is a boxer mix. She has fear aggression and behavior issues. She is very strong headed and didn't want to listen. Kevin has helped me communicate better with her.Her behavior has changed so very much. Kevin is very attentive and listened to my issues with her. She has also bit someone and I thought she would be put down. I felt she was worth saving if they thought she wasn't too far gone. She was 18 months old. I have multiple sclerosis with many issues including balance so it was very hard to control her at 72 lbs. She has calmed down so much. I just didn't want to give up on her. The money I spent was well worth it. She is such a loving dog and I didn't want to lose her. I got her at 4 weeks and 3 days old. Bark Busters is worth the call, money and time spent to change her attitude. Thank you Kevin for all your support. Highly recommend calling them if you have any issues with your fur baby.

Patrick Hickey was an answer to our prayer! He was patient taking all the time needed to educate, demonstrate, perform and practice the training exercises. The first session started with a thorough informative and educational discussion regarding communication with the dog. Very detailed handouts were included and have been most helpful. Our 4 year old rescue Doberman (in our care for 2 months) has been a delight with the major exception of leash pulling and a few other issues. After just the initial session with Patrick, our dog is much calmer overall. He will now walk beside us cooperatively and calmly. He is obedient to all commands and methods that were demonstrated and practiced in that first session. Regular, daily, and repetitive practice of the exercises was stressed with a daily checklist of the tasks provided. We have much to learn and practice; we are looking forward to doing it with Patrick's care and guidance. Thank you Bark Busters!

We were very impressed with Amber. She was very patient with us and our companions. The techniques she taught us are very helpful. The information she provided in continuing the training after she is gone will help us make sure our companions are successful in learning their new lessons.

I have to say, I wasn’t totally convinced I’d see a difference in behavior after that first visit. I was hopeful, but a little skeptical.
PermalinkWhen Sarah arrived, we sat down and talked about my dogs. I have two; 5 month old female lab/pit mix, Pepper, and 4 year old make pit/kelpie mix, Bruce. After talking me through the process and explaining why dogs behave certain ways, I was an intrigued to see how my dogs would react. Within 20 minutes, Sarah met my babies. Bruce was calm, but excited; Pepper was her crazy little puppy self, jumping and licking and nipping at Sarah. Within a minute, that behavior stopped and if it started to show its face again, it was gone again in a matter of seconds. No bribing with treats, no yelling, no touching. She just spoke their language!! Sarah was calm, yet assertive, confident and encouraging. The dogs reacted to her as if she’d been their pack leader forever!! Over the next three hours we worked through the process, allowing me to take the lead and showing the dogs that I could lead them too. She left us with homework and an appointment for our next visit. When she says consistency is key, she isn’t kidding! It’s like I have two different dogs now that I’m speaking their language! We have boundaries. Walks are calm. I get to walk up the stairs without being tripped! I’m so much more relaxed! And they are so happy!
TRUST her when she says you will notice a difference after that first visit! I witnessed it! I’m living it! She’s amazing and encouraging to both dogs and owners!!
I am forever grateful to you, Sarah. I cannot wait to show you the progress we’ve made in such a short amount of time and I can’t wait for you to meet my grand dog, Morty!!
Thank you, Sarah! You are incredible at what you do! I cannot thank you enough!!!

Could not recommend Bark Busters enough.
PermalinkWe called Kevin to help us with our blind 2 year old Aussie mix. He was getting the (wrong) idea that he was in charge of the house and neighborhood. Barking, lunging, pulling at the leash, guarding the front door. We were worried this would lead to a bite. Kevin showed up promptly and calmly. He efficiently sussed out the household. We have an elderly dog who is generally well behaved, but Kevin determined that we actually work with both dogs because we were basically a pack and the pack had no real leader. He taught us how to properly communicate with our dogs using dog language, and how to let them know that we are the ones in charge. The change seemed on the verge of a miracle and everything turned around for us after only one session. No crazy leash walking, no barking at dogs and humans. The house is calm and the dogs honestly seem happier. I recommend Bark Busters to friends who come over and wish their dogs behaved like ours!

Keith is an excellent dog trainer with a very calming presence. Our dog, Juno, was having issues with fearfulness, going on walks, as well as barking at passersby and when we took out the trash. He came for a 2-3 hour initial session and we immediately saw improvement with Juno. She was calmer and more responsive to us. He taught us very helpful techniques and tools that we can use in a variety of situations. He also modeled calming and consistent behavior for us to use with our dog. We are now able to much more easily walk her in the neighborhood. We also are able to do everyday activities such as taking out the garbage with Juno being much calmer and barking less. Consistency is the key to success. We appreciate Keith's follow-up and ongoing availability and tips to address issues as they arise. We highly recommend Keith!

After the 1st session with Erin and our first day going thru all of the exercises with our dogs, we have seen a big difference. We can not wait to see what the future holds for our family with these two amazing pups. We are more responsible and the dogs are more relaxed. Seems like is was an us problem, not the dogs. Thank you Erin!
