Frankie is our 1-year-old male Schipperke. They are a strong willed and very intense breed. We were experiencing some behavior issues with him, and I heard about Bark Busters at our veterinary office. I signed him up and Deb Boswell came out to our place in early February. She immediately got his attention and started showing us some of the training techniques they teach. We were quite surprised in how quickly he learned that he was not the boss anymore.
PermalinkDeb has made one other follow up visit, and we have her phone number if we have any questions or need further visits.
He is making progress and are very satisfied with the Bark Busters program.

Bark Busters training was some of the best money I've ever spent. I recently took in my mothers cat after her passing and needed to take my daughters dog (Maddie) as she is soon to have her first baby. We were having numerous problems getting cat and dog to live peacefully together in our home, as well as issues on walks due to her reactivity to cars and people. Maddie lacked confidence and was a very fearful and over-protective dog. Upon Omar's (bark busters) arrival she was extremely agitated and barked and snarled pretty severely. Within less than 20 minutes, Omar had taught US to 'speak dog' and we had Maddie calmly laying at our feet under the kitchen table. AMAZING!! The tension in our household dropped enormously after the training Omar did with us and I finally had hope that we could really make this work. The cat and dog are still learning to live together, but as we practice the techniques we learned the incidents have dropped to very few. As we continue to work with Bark Busters I am highly confident we can have a peaceful home and many good years together. So glad I called them.

We are so grateful to have worked with Kevin Gonzalez from Bark Buaters. He was very thorough and explained how Canine behavior works. Also, the methods used are very humane. ( no shock collars, hands, probes or treats are used). We also spoke a lot about nutrition, which was very helpful to us. A satisfied dog is a happy dog. We also liked working with the trainer at home in the dogs' space. Definitely something to consider, since so many dogs are surrendered, due to bad behaviors, which could have been corrected. We have been training with Ryanne for a couple of months now. We are very happy with the results and behavior changes with our puppy Nellie. Ryanne has been so helpful and has been willing to do whatever is necessary to train our dog! I would definitely recommend Ryanne and Bark Busters.

What can I say? Josh is amazing!!!
PermalinkI have used 2 other trainers that just didn't work for us. I was never comfortable with the other trainers so I kept searching and came across Bark Busters. My dog Charlie and I are so glad we did.
I made my appointment with Josh and anxiously awaited our meeting. Right away he was personable, funny and boy does he know his stuff. I've never met someone who understands dogs like he does. Everything he said made sense! Like wow it's common sense we just didn't know what we don't know.
Josh takes the time to explain how we need to communicate with our dog and why we need to communicate this way. The 1st meeting is a long one. But so worth it. He also discussed the importance of nutrition.
I'm so excited for the future with my best furry pal. I've already started telling all the neighborhood dog parents about Josh. I can't wait for everyone to see Charlie's manners on display. If you need help with your pooch please call Bark Busters and get an appointment with Josh. You and your dog will be so glad you did.
Our dogs want to be good dogs they depend on us to help them be the best they can be. My dog has separation anxiety, he barks, jumps scavenges food. Josh explained the reason for all of these behaviors. So fascinating to learn about what makes dogs tick. Definitely recommend their service.

Amanda is great. If I could give 10 stars, I would. She showed up at the house this evening and Freide was at the door waiting to jump on Amanda. Freide would not let me put the harness on her to restrain her.
PermalinkAfter restraining Freide, we discussed our goals with Amanda. I'll admit, I was a bit skeptical at first. However Amanda had us crate Freide as we discussed what we would be doing moving forward. We then let Freide out and Amanda showed us how to keep Freide from jumping on the sofa, or even going towards the door, or kitchen.
I was totally amazed that in only 20 minutes Amanda had Freide from going on the couch, but towards the door and kitchen. We saw a totally different pup in 20 minutes of working with Amanda. I'm really looking forward to seeing more changes from Freide moving forward.
