Our Bark Busters experience with Connor has been wonderful and life changing for our family! Although we have only had a few sessions so far, over the last few months we have had so much more peace and cohesion in our family as a result that we weren’t sure we would have again anytime soon. Our family and sweet dog went through alot of changes in the past couple years with the addition of our son and living in four different houses all during the pandemic where she had less then optimal socializing opportunities. This left her with a lot of anxiety & nervousness, that was coming out in some undesirable behaviors including barking. Through Connor working with us all, we have seen her blossom before our eyes and returning to her sweet, calmer, and more confident self. We no longer have half the worries and stressors with her that we had just a mere couple months ago. We can finally all sit together or play together outside as a family again without worries or all the barking. We still have a ways to go, but now we have tools to communicate effectively with her and resources when we need help figuring out how to navigate situations that may arise that we may not otherwise know how to handle. Thank you so much Connor for your excellent communication skills, follow up, flexibility, patience, and step by step explanations paired with demonstrations! I have never seen such a quick improvement in my dog! Erin has really helped us get our dog under control and manage his anxiety. Immediately after our first appointment, we saw a huge change in our dogs behavior- he was more calm and less aggressive. With practice and time he has already significantly improved. A big concern for us was his reactivity and Erin has given us all the tips and tricks for a happy, confident and well behaved puppy. I cannot recommend anyone other than Erin! Truly worth the time and the money. She knows her stuff and it’s clear to see through the results.

Our experience with Marc was magical! We started the session with an anxious Bernedoodle, bitting, barking and pulling. Following Marc’s training, our dog’s behavior changed in a matter of minutes!!

Dan is seriously a magician! He is thorough with his training and knowledgeable. He is personable and wants to make sure you understand his training. Within one training, I’ve got better lead on my puppies behaviors. Plus, if something arises, I can text Dan the problem and schedule something within a week. What a convenient solution! Absolutely recommend Dan!

Oso a GS/ Husky mix and Lemon a GS/ Belgium Malinois mix needed someone that was gonna know how to handle them and Michael was the trainer for that. He was gentle yet had their full attention. With in two days of training from Michael and consistent practice on our end visitors can come visit without loud barking and jumping. And my husband is learning to walk them both without his arms being pulled out of his sockets. Thankyou so Michael!

Absolutely incredible! After years of trying other trainers, everything short of shocking to stop the barking and other behaviors, nothing worked! Now, we had 3 contented and obedient dogs after the first session. Bark Busters approach simply makes sense. Speak the dogs language and they will understand what you want them not to do. Great concept, well thought out materials and Ben is a super trainer, both for dogs and the hooomans!!!

We had Michelle McCarthy from Bark Busters out to assist us with our little guy, Barney. He had been living in constant fear and stress because we, as dog owners, simply didn't know what we were doing - we didn't know how to communicate with him. I am embarrassed to say, but also happy to understand, that it wasn't our dog who needed training - it was us. After four hours with Michelle, I really can't fully articulate all the "aha" moments or the wave of guilt that washed over me when I realized that my lack of awareness was stressing my dog out keeping in a state of high alert where his only mission was to lead the pack and keep it safe. The straight forward - but profoundly impactful - TTPs (Tools, Tactics, and Procedures) that Michelle imparted had an immediate impact on Barney.
PermalinkMichelle's meeting structure is very deliberate; she focused on on us (the owners) for the majority of the time, trained us up to "speak dog" and leverage straightforward, effective tools for getting Barney's attention and cooperation. By the time Michelle was done with training us and the moment arrived to practice lessons with Barney, I was pretty sure she already knew what the outcome would be: immediate impact. Immediate responsiveness. Yes, your best friend will go through an adjustment period as the Pack Hierarchy changes, but if you take in the lessons and apply them as instructed, you will likely see immediate results, as we did. I can tell already, that if applied calmly and consistently, the lessons we've learned will change our dog forever.
Today I walked my dog without him barking at neighbors or other dogs for the first time in two years. We did so with very few corrections. In fact we past within feet of another dog and Barney just looked at me and continued trotting at my side. The experience was shocking, encouraging, and categorically justified every penny we spent with Bark Busters. We've decided to live these lessons, because that is the only guaranteed way to ensure continued success - and we are very much looking forward to doing so with full confidence that the Bark Busters' method works. Michele McCarthy is a well-traveled, confident Dog Trainer. A true professional we are thankful to have met. If you are on the fence, don't be. She's got you.

I have completely new dogs.. I’m way more confident which makes my dog more happy and confident. My husband missed the first session but noticed a huge difference in our 2 males the moment he walked in thru front door.
