Highly recommend training with Chris! He is very knowledgeable and was extremely patient with me and my adolescent dog, Frankie. I have learned so much in this training process and we've made a lot of progress. No more pulling when walking or barking when someone comes to the door. I also have two cats and Chris helped me integrate them into each other’s lives. If you're considering dog training, Bark Busters is the way to go!

Photo of Poppi Kevin was excellent. He was knowledgeable and easy to work with. We just hope Poppi responds as well to us as she did him. We learned a lot and need to keep up with the exercises.

It all started when I noticed some food aggression from my Doberman. Since I also have a 4 year old this was a concern of mine. So I googled food aggression and barkbusters was the first one that popped up. They sent Noah to me and after two sessions he could tell a considerable difference in my pup. It was nice having an in home trainer to teach me how to train the dog. And the fact that it is good for the life of the dog sold me. Noah was very patient with me and was very professional. 5 stars!!!

Sharon came to my home for Louie’s first dog training session and he literally fell in line with the training in the first 2 minutes! He did so well on this training, it brought me to tears watching it all unfold. I really had no idea how to communicate with my dog before this training session. It was nothing short of miraculous!! Sharon spent almost 4 hours with us.. training me on how to communicate with my sweet dog. I didn’t realize that Louie was always so “stressed” out and I truly didn’t realize he had the weight of the world on his shoulders.. he was trying to take care of me, my husband, the house.. he must have been SO tired!! I just thought he was a happy but “anxious” little poodle. A lot of people had been telling me that poodles are just like that and they have sensitive stomachs, hence runny poop, frantic barking, nervous in the car etc.. well, after his first lesson with Sharon he seemed so calm and better right away. After she left, he slept for a few hours and still was so calm.. I took him out for a walk and he was so different, he just seemed to enjoy himself more. The difference was he no longer had all the worries and anxiety!!!! His stomach has been fine, his poops are healthy and perfect! The money spent to have Sharon (aka) Bark Busters over to my house is SO worth it even if it was for that ONE visit it would have been worth it, but - astoundingly the fee I paid is good for a lifetime of training! I’m so impressed I cannot even convey my exact feelings about it!!! Sharon and Bark Busters is absolutely amazing and worth every penny!!!!! ML, Heather

Photo of Dakota Kristyn is AWESOME! She definitely knows what she's doing and the techniques she taught me worked right away. My dog was 8 years old when we began training with Kristyn. I wasn't sure if you could train an 8 year old dog. Kristyn's techniques worked amazingly and she explained everything in a way that I easily understood. I quickly realized that I needed training more than my dog. My actions and reactions were at the root of some of my dog's behaviors. I'm happy to say that my dog is so well behaved now and we haven't had any other issues. I have a happy household. Thank you Kristyn!

It all started when I began to see food aggression from my Doberman who is a 95lb pup. I have a daughter so this concerned me. I googled food aggression and Barkbusters were the first ones that popped up. Noah was the local trainer in my area. It was very quick getting him to my house. What stood out to me was that it was in-home training not for the dog but for me. So I could learn techniques to train my dog. After 2 sessions I have learned so much and it has been night and day with Cash. Noah was very patient with me and very professional. Also having a trainer that I can call anytime I have issues for the life of the dog is a weight lifted. I recommend to anyone who is having issues with their dog to invest in this. This is something you can carry on with you forever also.

Photo of Max Scot holds amazing knowledge about dogs’ thinking and decision making processes. He helps you understand how our dogs really look at us, and how to communicate with them effectively. It hasn’t even been 24 hours since our initial training lesson with Scot, and I already feel like Max is a new dog! He is showing me respect, and is looking at me more as the leader of the pack. I adopted Max, my 2-year old Boxer, about a month ago, and he would randomly start aggressively attacking me, for no reason or instigating on my part. My arms and legs are outrageously bruised and marked up. I cried more than once, thinking and contemplating about how much longer I could physically and mentally handle this dog. Thankfully, with Scot’s guidance and help, I now feel that Max and I CAN do this together, and create a long-lasting amazing bond.
THANK YOU SCOT AND BARK BUSTERS!

Ben and his methods are incredible. Ben is super knowledgeable, answering all of our questions with ease. He’s also super patient and super professional. In just one 3 hour session we noticed a night and day difference with our pup! 10/10 recommend Ben for any behavioral dog training needs!

Photo of Ziggy We recently enlisted Tommy's assistance to help with training our 1 yr old pup and are writing to recommend him 100%. We had previously done group training classes with our puppy that he excelled at but were having more "advanced" issues specific to him. For context, he is a rescue from Puerto Rico and he's been at home with us since he was 2 months old. He loved other dogs too much, was scared of bicycles/scooters/anything on wheels, and was nervous passing people on walks, all of which resulted in out-of-control barking, lunging, etc. He also got to 50 lbs. so I was really struggling to control him physically, which was really dangerous for both of us. Lastly, he absolutely was not able to tolerate having guests over in the house when I was home alone with him and would bark and rush the door, and aggressively bark nonstop even when in his crate or a separate room. It got to the point where I dreaded our walks and was constantly tense, looking out for potential triggers. It was tough and embarrassing dealing with his freak outs and we were definitely the owner/dog pair that had to cross the street to avoid things he was fearful of or excited about. I similarly dreaded any time we did maintenance in the house, etc. because I could not have a conservation over the loud barking.

After much research and some over-the-phone consultations with different trainers, we decided to work with Tommy mainly due to the stellar reviews and his ability to come to our house and address problems specific to our dog in his home environment (where his issues were the worst). Within 5 minutes of walking through the door, Tommy was able to help our dog calm down, something that has NEVER happened before. In just the first visit Tommy covered almost all the problem behaviors on my extensive list. Tommy gave us explicit directions and training techniques with notes for practicing to help us stay on track. He was completely judgement-free and listened in-depth to all the scenarios and problems I described so he could tell us how to work on them. He really seemed to understand what my dog was feeling and why. He taught me how to get my dog to respond to me with little to no treats. Immediately after the first visit, I noticed a HUGE change. We had a follow-up visit to go over additional things like recall, coming to my husband when called, reviewing ways to set him up for success with leaving him home alone etc. and to get an assessment from Tommy on the progress we've made. Tommy is also very quick/responsive via email for follow-up questions.

From the first visit to the second, it's like we have a completely new dog. I joke that it's like he's had an exorcism- but really, it is! We are now able to have relaxed, long walks that are enjoyable for the both of us. We used to receive a lot of compliments from strangers commenting that our dog is handsome, but now we are able to receive compliments without our dog subsequently barking away said stranger. We also receive a lot more "I like your dog" compliments from small children (which our dog used to bark at). We even can pass dogs on the sidewalk that our dog used to lose his mind at. He has completely stopped pulling and we can have guests over with minimal reaction from him. He frequently "checks in" with us on walks/anytime we encounter something that used to set him off.

I had seen many other reviews that mentioned changes in the dog after the first visit. I was skeptical because I thought our dog was so out of control, it would surely take a few visits to see an improvement. I was wrong- Tommy really has the magic touch that has helped our family immensely.
