Holly (old friend from college) came to visit at the perfect time, when we'd just adopted a new puppy. She spent a lot of time with me, teaching me how to "speak dog." She was great at demonstrating training techniques then letting me give it a go and then showing me how to correct our dog's behavior. in the moment. Bark Busters' approach is so logical! I'm excited to have these tools - our dog's behavior is much improved and getting better still every day.

Rob was able to connect and reach Sprocket so easily. To see our dog lower his guard and feel secure was such an incredible feeling.

Very easy and clear instructions. Very thorough demonstration and then had us show we knew what to do. Marc made sure we achieved the goals of the session. He gave good examples of issues and how to stop unwanted behaviors and praise good behaviour.

Josh was informative and provided us with ways to mitigate barking and issues at the front door. I feel like we have the tools we need to improve both Remi and Cash's leash manners. We also have ways to practice allowing people in the home while controlling Remi's behavior.

Thomitha Rush's Google Review "After the first session I could see improvement with my puppy. The ladies teach you how to confidently lead your dog without harsh methods. The ladies were also very kind and personable and work to tailor your training to suit your individual needs. Money well spent."

We are extremely pleased with this program. Ben was extremely knowledgeable and a very patient teacher. It was amazing to see our dogs respond to the techniques that he taught us. Although, it’s only been a few days we can already see a difference. I feel confident that this program will work, but it’s also good to know that Ben is only a phone call away. We would definitely recommend Ben to everyone.

We have two dogs but needed the most help with our 3 year old Brittany….Ginger. For those of you that are familiar with that breed, you clearly know how energetic and spastic they can be. We had a Brittany before, but Ginger has exceeded the craziness. She had a bad habit of counter surfing in the kitchen while we were cooking. As much as we yelled at her, that bad habit continued. Walking her was exhausting. The minute she got outside, her nose led the way. She would pull so hard, and if a car drove by, she would bark and try to dart at the car. That was really nerve wracking because one day if we didn’t have complete control of her leash, she definitely would have been hit. We finally decided to hire a dog trainer. We hired James with Bark Buster. The best thing about his tactics, is that we are not just attending typical training classes teaching dog obedience. Most dog training classes have a generalized training outline. James customized the training needs based on what we wanted to be corrected. We successfully keep the dogs out of the kitchen during any cooking process. We can now walk the dogs and there is absolutely no pulling. They no longer control us while in the house or during the walks. Both dogs now understand that we are the pack leaders and that we control our expectations of them. In the end, it was my husband and I that really needed the training. We are both thrilled at the results and look forward to finally enjoying calmer walks and more peaceful times within the house.

Like others, we have two dogs and were at wits end. Both dogs are rescues and our younger dog is very anxious and reactive. We could not walk them down the street without them barking howling and lunging when we saw another dog. We just moved to this new home mid-October and have hardly met anyone cause our neighbors (and their dogs) hide when they see us out walking. I saw the reviews for Bark Busters and we decided to give it a try. Omar came to meet us this past Sunday morning.
PermalinkYes, the initial 3 hour training is long but it really is “owner training” not dog training, though we spent quite a bit of time off and on working with the dogs in those 3 hours as well.
After Omar left we let the dogs sleep and took care of chores. That evening we took the dogs for a walk. It was like walking different dogs. We stopped and chatted with two neighbors. The first one had his dog out and ours paid it no attention. The 2nd neighbor had his dog inside but our dogs know there is a dog at that home. In both cases our dogs mostly just sat quietly at our feet looking at us for a sign to move on.
It is pleasant to walk the dogs so far which also means lots more walking for them which they love. Other behaviors are also night and day. We are going to continue practicing and are very much looking forward to our next session!
