The trainer was very clear and easy to understand - our puppy responded in a very positive way to the training and the trainer.

Pat was very patient with both our dog and us; we are older with a large puppy. It has been only three days and our small "horse" listens very well. It takes just one "BAA" occasionally to remind him.
Comes when I call, came back from the road when told. Will start with the training collar this weekend while son is here to help. Thank you Bark Busters for your help and kindness. KBS

Photo of Riley Riley is a 7 month old female Belgian Malinois. The biggest problem we've had with Riley is that when we had friends over she would start barking at them the second they walked in the door and we could not get her to stop. I was extremely impressed with how quickly Leigh Ann was able to stop Riley's "non-stop" barking at her (it took about a minute after we let Riley out of her crate--seriously). Leigh Ann was very thorough in explaining and demonstrating how to teach the behaviors that we want from Riley. She also gave us a training plan and we can't wait until her follow up visit to show off what Riley has learned!

We were very impressed with Bark Busters' approach and philosophy to training dogs. Barbara did an excellent job translating the philosophy into action. She was knowledgable, patient and caring. I would recommend Barbar and Bark Busters wholeheartedly.

Photo of Bruno I was totally amazed to see my dog's behavior when Carol came to my home for the first time. He behaved like the dog that I wanted. Bruno is a 3 yr old black lab. He is a rescue dog which I've only had 2 months. I was questioning if I would be able to keep Bruno given his behaviors: jumping, knocking my 5 yr old daughter down, mouthing, barking & whining, 75 lbs of dog pulling me on walks. I became a believer in Bark Buster's training methods. It all made sense, but was a totally different approach than I had ever heard of. I agreed to let Carol teach me to "talk dog". It sure felt awkward that first week, but I did see improvements. At my second training session, Carol commended me on my "bahs" and improvements in Bruno's behavior. This week is fine tuning myself and Bruno. It's only been 2 days into my second week of training and Bruno and I are making great strides. He's actually doing sit & stays, as well as downs ... and staying put. Even though we haven't begun to train for walks, he is already pulling less; paying more attention to me. I love my Bruno and now I'm confident that I can keep him.

Glenda and Barkbusters to the rescue! When we brought a second dog into the home it created a rivalry that was beyond our control and lots of marking that was destructive and a daily cleaning event. In the first visit, we had a thorough understanding of the root of the problem and real actionable steps that we could take to address (that were easy to follow and fit into our busy schedule). Within a week, the dogs stopped marking. We made subtle changes to the environment and established clear human leadership. The bonus lessons about getting the dogs to come and communicating on other matters were just icing on the cake.

Photo of Zeus After Janie left after the 1st meeting there was a definite change for the better in Zeus. He pretty much quit going behind our chairs and chewing on a box.
I quit letting him sit on my lap so much and only now when invited. We are doing a lot better with staying, and letting me out the door first. We have our good and bad days leash walking. A lot due to distractions. Gary and I are working harder on recall. Sorry to say we had gotten a little frustrated with that. The jumping up on Gary and I have gotten better. Saturday will be a real test as we will have the 4 yr old grandson here.

    Trainer Note:
You're doing well. Remember, don't get frustrated and don't give in to him. And always keep in mind, he's just a baby, so he's very easily distracted. Going behind the chairs where all the electronics cabling was located was a very big deal, so even if other things aren't progressing as quickly, always remember your successes. He's such a sweet little guy. Good luck with your grandson. You can do it!
