Our family first met Joanne with Barkbusters in May 2013 when we called her to help us with some additional training for our Goldendoodle Paisley. At the time Paisley was cruising the counters, stealing (and EATING) laundry and not practicing good manners when on her leash. After our initial visit with Joanne Paisley was a different dog. The training techniques that we were taught by Joanne are wonderful.

Joanne not only tells/shows you what to do with your pet, she then has you demonstrate the technique so she can make sure it will be done effectively when you practice on your own.

Since our initial visit in May 2013 I have called Joanne a few times on other issues that cropped up with Paisley (specifically, picky eating). Joanne gave me great advice on how to deal with the issue and in no time Paisley was back on track with eating her dog food.

The best part of Barkbusters to our family is the lifetime package. Its a significant investment on the front end but knowing that I can call Joanne a year later and get the same level of support I got when I signed our agreement is totally worth it. Recently Paisley has begun to misbehave when on her leash. I called Joanne and arranged for an additional training visit to review the leash walking techniques we went over on her first visit. I was SO HAPPY to know that a company that offers a Lifetime package actually honors that package.

After Joanne's visit today I am sure Paisley will be much better about walking on her leash. I also know that if any other issues present themselves I can call Joanne at any time and have her come back out for another visit. Joanne and Barkbusters are wonderful and I would (and have) recommended them to anyone with a dog!

We have relied on Steve's guidance to take control of our training and our dog, making life better for everyone. Steve's training has shown us how to be a leader and 'speak dog', so that we can effectively communicate to the dog what is good and what is not good.

This ongoing training has given us authority in our home, as well as set our dog at ease. She was always a sweet heart, but now she obeys us, is respectful to guests in our home, has LOST THE SEPARATION ANXIETY she once had- so she can be alone and not chew up the house, she is a pleasure to take a walk with etc.

We've been very satisfied with our experience. Steve is a pleasure to work with as a coach.

Mike did a fantastic job! I cannot wait to get started with my dog. It is nice to see such a response from my dog without using force. So many people use force with their animals. I knew there was a better way.

Gold Program for a lovely 4-month old, female, yellow lab puppy. As her trainers, we are already looking forward to her first follow-up lesson next week.

Photo of Wally After one visit from Michelle we saw a huge improvement in our 2yr old 73lb boxer mix, Wally. She showed us that we have to be the pack leaders in our home and out. Wally now looks to us for direction instead of leading the way. After one session, we had already seen an improvement in our walks, and in his attentiveness to us. Wally is no longer dragging me through our apartment complex, and no longer rushing people at the door! Bark Busters methods are easy and non-physical. I look forward to the day that Wally is able to walk on an "invisible leash" and I feel confident that we will reach that goal someday, with Bark Busters' training and our own diligence and determination. I work in the veterinary field and will continue to recommend Bark Busters to patients with confidence, knowing that their simple, non-physical methods are both easy, and effective. We are truly grateful to Michelle for her expertise and her obvious love of her job!

I had Linda in my home for about 3 hours during my initial training session with my 4 year old Lab to deal with a severe case of separation anxiety. I was really at a breaking point with him. If we didn't get this resolved, I may have had to give him away.
After just those 3 hours with Linda it is like a different dog. He will happily go into his crate and lay down with not even a whimper. He walks on a leash like he is supposed to and really is a almost perfect dog after just that one visit.
I would highly recommend Linda Conrad and BarkBusters to anyone.
    Thanks Linda for "rescuing" Lucky!

Photo of Kira After raising one Maltese completely unsuccessfully, I wasn't taking any chances with my second one. I called Bark Busters a week after bringing Kira home. Thanks to Sarah, I now have the perfect dog!

Sarah taught "us" every aspect of training including basic commands, housebreaking, walking on a leash, not running out my from door, everything!!!! She was always available by email with immediate situations that came up, and all the house calls we needed for the hands on lessons. I cannot thank her enough!

Photo of Gunner We knew we had a good dog before we contacted Bark Busters but there were several things we needed help with. As a first time dog owner, I had no clue how to train Gunner. Within the first session I could tell Gunner was responding to the training. I learned what I needed to do in order to become a better pet owner and was able apply the skills we practiced with Mary. Within several weeks, the concerns we had with Gunner's behavior were vastly improved if not completely corrected. Mary was very helpful and made sure to address any and all concerns we had. I highly recommend Bark Busters to anyone interested in dog obedience services.
