Scott helped save my relationship with my puppy and made me into a dog lover!!
I never had a dog and finally decided to get a puppy because my sister did. I hated being a dog mom! I didn’t understand my dog, he brought stress and anxiety to my already chaotic life. Where was this “man’s best friend” and “dogs will comfort you” stuff people talked about?! I didn’t get it and I had 3 back up plans of people who said they would take him….enter Scott
I literally called Scott crying one morning and said I hated the puppy and I was going to give him up. Scott responded instantly and was at my house that day!!! His purpose was to save my relationship with my puppy and to train me.
It worked! It took a few visits and phone calls (and yes, I cried a few more times), but I still have my gorgeous pup. I learned how to communicate with my dog and how to create a positive relationship with him. Scott and Bark Busters really know what they are doing.

Photo of Momo Josh's passion for what he does comes through immediately when working with him. He helped us train our 3-month-old puppy. His knowledge is vast, in a few hours he covered everything we needed to know to be good pet parents including basic obedience, nutrition, socialization, how to control bad habits like biting and barking, and more. He can also provide all the tools you need (proper leash, collar, etc.) and useful handouts to help you remember everything you learned after he leaves. I would highly recommend Josh for all your dog training needs.

Kayla and Randy helped me with my German Shepherd. She was pulling on leash and had separation anxiety. Most trainers use shock collars or prong collars especially when it comes to shepherds and I was glad that they do not use these methods.

Photo of Rose We decided to get a puppy 2 months before we our first baby's due date. After the first few days of having the puppy, we were on the fence to re-home our Golden Doodle puppy Rose. We didn't want to see her go, and we found Bark Busters Lake Norman with Diane and John. We decided to give training a shot to see if we could better help Rose. Diane and John came to our house and immediately we felt like there was hope for us and Rose. Diane and John helped us understand the different behaviors Rose was having and how to correct her bad behaviors. We felt much more confident in training Rose. We have called and texted Diane several times in between our visits and she always responses quickly with clarity and helpful information. I would 100% recommend the training program with Diane and John!! They are extremely helpful and personable! As well, the training program is affordable and great value! If you are on the fence of re-homing your puppy, give Diane and John a call and they will help you!

Joshua has helped make my life raising a puppy so much easier. I have a high energy, male Australian Shepard named Nova and our first lesson was when Nova 4 months . Joshua helped establish basic house rules, taught me how to be the leader to my pup and helped Nova get rid of a lot of his bad puppy habits. The difference before and after just the first lesson was amazing. No more nipping, no more chewing on things, and no more separation anxiety. In our latest session, we focused on leash training as Nova is reactive to other dogs when going on walks. Again, the difference before and after the session just blew my mind. Joshua not only does a great job training the dogs, but also trains us humans on how to properly guide them. Each lesson is personalized and upon completion you are provided with an action plan to help keep your pup on track. Joshua really listens to what you have to say and explains his methods very thoroughly. I cannot recommend Joshua and Bark Busters enough!

Photo of Milo Great training session. Joshua addressed all of the concerns I had with training my puppy. I really appreciated the time he took to explain to me how the dog thinks and how my behaviors effect the dog.

Milo is a really smart pup! He responded really well today. We taught him a lot of the basics and are working on this house manners. We also addressed his potty training. With Sunny being consistent he will continue to improve.

I can’t recommend Mason enough! I have two dogs, a 4 year old and a 4 month old. I had so many questions and Mason answered them all, patiently and knowledgeably. He was both attentive and observant and worked until we had covered every area of concern - jumping, mouthing, walking, chewing, etc. The methods he used were simple yet effective, and I truly noticed a difference in both of my dogs’ behavior in just one session. I feel confident that I can replicate what I learned during our training session for years to come. I’m so thankful for Mason’s help!

Photo of Rosie & Penny We are very please with the progress we have made with our two dogs in a short amount of time with Bark Busters. Our past experience has been with senior dogs that are often very docile. When we adopted two younger dogs, we were struggling with their behavior. The one on one training that Ryanne has provided has increased our confidence and skills in working with our dogs. While we have done obedience training before, the skills from Bark Busters has taught us how to be a pack leader and better communicate with them. I believe that we are building a better relationship with our dogs and saw a noticeable difference in their behavior after the first session. The concepts make sense to me and it is evident that Ryanne understands dogs and can help address the root of the problem. We are so grateful!!!

Cali and Keeva responded very well during our first session. We covered a lot of basic manners in the home and addressed her leash pulling and their barking. Robin was very pleased with how his pups responded today! With him being consistent over the coming weeks his pups will continue to improve.

We adopted one puppy intentionally and then fell into a stray puppy a few months later. We were in over our head and were beyond frustrated that our dogs wouldn't listen, chewed everything, barked at neighbors, dug holes, you name it, one or both dogs did it. One was so aggressive when meeting new dogs I thought we would never be able to take them anywhere or have dog friends over. This sounds dramatic, but James from Bark Busters was a life changer. I knew we were the problem, not so much the dogs, but he showed us how to communicate with them in a manner they understand and everything is different now. They are delightful. Perfect? No. But they listen better, we can leave them unsupervised for longer, and their whole demeanor is so much calmer. They are changed dogs because we are better at communicating with them.
