I've been recommending Pete Marciano and his Bark Busters for some time now, based on what friends have told me about his services and the success they've had with their pets, so when we got a puppy who had been tearing the house apart, I knew just who to call.
Pete was prompt for our appointment and right when he walked in the door the instruction began, when a jumping dog was corrected with seemingly minimal effort. This was just the beginning of the many things Milo would learn through-out the evening.
The entire time with Pete was an eye opening experience in how dogs and puppies think and act, and how easy it is to train them with a common sense approach that is still paying dividends daily.
I must say the best part of the night was witnessing how passionate Pete is in his work, you can hear it in his voice and Milo was actually having fun doing tasks such as sitting, staying, and coming when called.
I will continue to recommend Bark Busters and Pete Marciano because the program is not only common sense based and easy to practice, but the lessons are also tailored to suit the pets needs.
Keep up the good work Pete!

Photo of Skansen's Otto II Our Standard Schnauzer puppy was getting out of control. Biting, nipping, barking, jumping everywhere in the house. While walking, he used to pull the leash very strongly and get overly excited when spotting other people or dogs.

We've done some research an decided to call Bark Busters.

Mason Erwin came to our home and spent 4 hours with the whole family. He basically trained us and showed us how to handle Otto. After explaining us the behavioral challenges and peculiarities all dogs have, he showed us the corrections we needed to do inside the house. Also, we went for a walk in the nearby the park and trails where we usually walk Otto.

Otto was also experiencing separation anxiety. Very disruptive, because we couldn't leave him alone and couldn't have even 6 straight hours of sleep.

In sum, we were vey discouraged and frustrated because we couldn't help out our beloved Otto.

After the first session with Mason, Otto's behavior changed significantly. No more pulling, no more biting, no more nipping. Walking with him was very pleasant. Separation anxiety was substantially lower. He now stays in his crate at night without barking or whining.

We called Mason once more to address a couple of remaining issues; e.g. barking aggressively at other dogs while walking.
Once again, Mason's guidance was very effective and Otto stopped the undesirable behavior almost immediately.

We are grateful and impressed with Mason's skills and training.

It has been a game changer.

Photo of Stella & Nala We are so thankful for Ryanne and Bark Busters. Before meeting Ryanne we were at a loss on how to help our new rescue. She was biting at clothes and trying to destroy our furniture. Now we have a sweet pup who is learning we are alpha and who respects us. We also learned that our older dog was so nervous because she thought she needed to be leader of the pack. Ryanne taught us how to be the leaders and take back the control. We are starting to see huge improvements in both dogs and will continue working with both of them. Thank you so much to Ryanne!!

I would first like to say that our first visit with Pam was amazing! Pam took her time to focus on all our concerns with our two puppies and gave us so much helpful information. We continued to work on all her suggestions each time and we are slowly seeing an improvement.
I am looking forward to working with Pam with our puppies and getting them both the best training.

Was looking for a dog trainer for awhile now. It is overwhelming with the amount of options out there. We decided to go with Henri and we do not regret our decision. He really helped us teach our dog, Brewer, with leash training as well as being in command. Brewer is now very good on and off leash and does not jump on the counters anymore regardless if there is food up there!

Photo of Chance & Kobe Holly has completely transformed our pups. Chance dealt with a lot of anxiety, separation issues, pulling on the leash & going bananas on us when we came home. Within one hour on the first lesson Holly showed us how to make significant changes to all his bad behaviors. He went from being a scared pup to a much more chill-ish and happy pup. What Holly taught us was simple, yet amazing and super effective. She even got our 4-5 month old pup, Kobe to patiently wait wherever we tell him and come when called.

Our second lesson she taught us how to walk them. I worked with Chance for over a year and 2 different methods on healing and he never actually healed for me. Within minutes of Holly showing me a new method he was walking calmly and slow right along with me. Kobe is still a bit young, but walking like a champ. The cherry on top is our pups don't even bark now when the doorbell rings!

Bark Busters is legit and I highly recommend Holly!

Kobe and Chance are quick learners and incredibly smart! It was such a night and day difference between the first and second lesson. In addition to the technique begin incredibly effective, you all made the training a priority and that level of commitment from you made the difference in how quickly you found harmony in your home! I look forward to doing so much more great work with your whole pack!

Photo of Jack Although our journey with Kayla has just begun with our dog Jack, we have already seen improvements from the recommendations and guidelines Kayla has given us. She is very understanding and answers texts at all hours when questions arise. My wife and I as well as our dog Jack are grateful that Kayla is part of our family going forward. Would highly recommend Kayla and Bark Busters!

I learned of Bark Busters through my mom who had adopted a Chihuahua about a year ago. I was impressed at how much Buddy improved through Lisette's training and the tools she gave my mom.

But then there's my dog. I rescued little Justice (also a Chi) in September 2018. He had been brutally attacked -probably by another dog- and was rescued from a high kill shelter in San Bernardino. For six weeks he was in foster care healing from his serious wounds.

Due to his trauma I didn't want to enforce any rules. I didn't want to hurt him by pulling on the leash or really dominate him in any way. You can imagine where this is going...

So nearly four years later my dog has developed an OCD behavior where he literally eats anything--indoors or outdoors--roams about the apartment appearing stressed or starving, and all of this making so much anxiety for me. We have had too many emergency vet visits to count. Close calls where he has eaten sego palm, etc.

About a month ago I couldn't take anymore. My vet here in LA where I live said there was nothing I could do. This is just how Justice will always be. Totally in despair, I asked my mother if I could get in contact with Lisette. I figured maybe if he got training it would help a little. I didn't have much hope but thought it would be a last ditch effort.

Well, upon my first appointment with Lisette, she assured me the numerous muzzles I had bought for Justice would not be necessary. She said by ME being a leader, this would completely change the dynamic between Justice and I. She listed a few different reasons why he has been eating everything, 1) his diet, 2) my lack of leadership and therefore his insecurity, and 3) trauma from before.

We dove into the training! Wow. I'll be honest it was really hard at first. I was really scared I would hurt him. I was also pretty uncertain this was going to work. Literally from the first time she walked him outside and then taught me how to walk him with the Bark Busters harness, the behavior stopped. Stopped!

Here's the thing: you have to do the work. You have to be consistent. But Lisette is amazing. She breaks everything down, supplies you with everything you need (videos, harness, accessories), and is very accessible/communicative. This program has changed my dog and I am thrilled. My stress level is down, Justice's stress level is down. It is all around amazing.

I realize this is a long review but it is for a good reason. Please do yourself a favor: if your dog is having behavioral issues--or even if they aren't yet--learn how to take care of them well. That is what they deserve. It isn't true that you can't teach an old dog new tricks, you can. I was probably the one who was more unteachable lol. But in the end this training is helping my dog and me so much.

This is two thumbs and four paws up--way up--for Lisette and Bark Busters! Don't wait, book with them now. Thank you!
