We just started working with Bonnie for our 18 month old Portuguese Water Dog, Wesley. Wesley is a high energy 50 lb dog who is stronger than he thinks and needs some help in the listening department :)
PermalinkBonnie’s work started right away when Wesley wouldn’t even let her inside! She walked us through the process of calming him down and was very patient and encouraging. Once safely inside, Bonnie took the time to get to know Wesley and all his quirks. At the end of the session, he felt comfortable enough around Bonnie to try and steal her winter hat lol. That’s a sign you’re IN!
In addition to the hands-on training, we also enjoyed the interesting tid bits about why dogs behave the way they do based on DNA, and how Wesley’s personality was shaped by his birth order. It all came together at that point, and training Wesley finally seemed manageable.
We spent 3 hours working with Bonnie and have another follow-up visit in 3 weeks. During that time we have exercises to work on, and it’s only 15 mins a day which is very manageable. Wesley will get an A+ report card in no time. Highly recommend if you have an energetic pup who could use some 1:1 attention. Bonnie was great!

Even though there's a lot of information to take in, John made it very easy to understand and once we started our steps into training Zeus, you could see immediate improvements. We can say without a doubt we are confident John will help us get Zeus where we want him to be.

Theresa is knowledgeable and thorough. She took the time to explain in detail and demonstrate the techniques to help my dog with his behavior issues. I am excited to see my dog become more confident and a better member of our family. I would definitely recommend anyone who is having behavior problems with their dog to schedule a time to train with Theresa.

I started working with Kyle Milwit, Bark Busters trainer, in November 2023. I had just adopted an adult dog and needed help integrating her into my home and with my other dog, who I have had for 12 years. Kyle “trained” me and gave me the tools necessary to safely integrate the dogs and ensure I remained in control as the pack leader.
PermalinkWithin a few sessions (immediate results after the first session) he helped me take two adult female dogs that were very on edge with each other (and would fight) and create an environment/dynamic that allowed them to both feel safe and confident with each other and allowed me to be a better leader of my pack. After less than 6 weeks of consistent training they are now cuddling together on the same dog beds and are inseparable.
Working with Kyle has been a game changer! I appreciate his methods and training style and would highly recommend him to anyone seeking help with dog behavior issues and obedience training.

I am so glad I started out 2024 with Bonnie from Bark Busters. I was going to have to surrender my dog, because he barked so much I had noise complaints from my neighbors. He was also very reactive to the other dogs in the neighborhood, growling and lunging at them. I was at my wit's end. Then I called Bonnie and learned more in one lesson than all my prior classes. She taught me to be the leader of the pack. Sound simple? It is once you know what you are doing. Jake finally understood what I needed him to do on walks and also learned he didn't have to worry about me when I was gone. Don't put off training -- you will learn so much about communication and respect.

Karina at Bark Busters is amazing and has truly changed my life! When I contacted her, I could not leave my dog alone or leave her in her crate for one minute due to her separation anxiety. I love my dog, but was at such a low point and pretty miserable until Karina helped. I've been working with Karina for about a month, and I have already seen significant changes in my dog. She has given me my life back, and we are only just getting started!
PermalinkIn addition to the dog training, I can tell she truly cares about my dog (and all dogs). She is responsive and always willing to answer my questions about training and any other recommendations (food, probiotics, etc) and is invested in the well-being of my dog.
I would recommend her without hesitation to anyone looking for dog training.
