Through this understanding, we've been able to guide our dogs in harmonious cooperation rather than adversarial encounters.
PermalinkPrior to enrolling in Mark's program, our dog Duncan posed several challenges. He exhibited erratic behavior during walks, reacted poorly to new people, and engaged in biting incidents. As he transitioned into adulthood, these issues became increasingly alarming. Even after investing in a 3-week boarding training program and traditional retail lessons, we saw only marginal improvements.
However, Mark's simple yet effective techniques have been a game-changer. After just one initial lesson, Duncan underwent a remarkable transformation. He now walks gracefully on the leash, refrains from barking or displaying aggression without reason, resists the urge to bolt out the front door, refrains from jumping, waits patiently at staircases until given the signal, responds promptly to recall commands, and has become an absolute delight to everyone he meets. He has blossomed into an absolute sweetheart.
We wholeheartedly endorse Mark's training program. Equipped with the knowledge we've gained, we feel confident in our ability to address and overcome any dog-related challenges that may arise. This training has undeniably improved our dog's behavior and our overall quality of life. We were searching for a trainer for our dog, Doc (almost 3 years), who we adopted from a rescue when he was about 2 months old. Doc was always anxious and hyper, which we attributed to him being a rescue. His anxiety was getting worse, and his behavior becoming aggressive and biting at times. As he was not like this all of the time, we believed we just did not have the knowledge to properly correct his behaviors, so we searched the web for dog trainers. After a lot of research, my daughter found Keith and Bark Busters on the internet. When Keith came for the first session, he told us we would see a different dog that day. I did not believe him. He proved me wrong. Keith provided clear and direct instruction of how to correct our commands and leadership, so we could properly train and correct Doc's behavior. He was here less than an hour, and we saw Doc become submissive from commands we did; prior to Keith coming we had never seen Doc be submissive in the 2.5 plus years we had him. He responds to us much better and he is walking on a leash much better. He is not great at taking long walks on a leash, but we can have him take shorter walks, with much improvement than before Keith came. They key is consistency and continued training, even if it is something small each day. Keith left us with a folder of different training and information, which is very helpful in remembering the steps in the processes. The Bark Busters pack leader philosophy was just what our Doc needed. Doc is much more calm and responsive, and we get much more enjoyment training him now. We are so grateful to Keith and Bark Busters!

Robert Machi was great, calm approach. Lola's response to him was obvious to us. He was focused and presented training approaches with clear and precise method's His presentation of teaching us would make Lola’s response more positive. We would highly recommend Robert Machi to my friends and family.

We have been training with Mariah for three weeks and saw improvements with our dog immediately. She answered all of our questions and has made herself more than available to us. Her training techniques are effective and she has given us the resources to continue to work with our dog in between sessions. I have tried other dog trainers and Mariah is by far superior.

Mariah has been very helpful and responsive. The program makes more sense to me than the group obedience class trainings we have gone through multiple times. My dog thinks he has to protect us all the time and has led him to have anxieties and be over reactive. He is very easily distracted and becomes unresponsive and inattentive. He is excitable and loves everyone and puts on a circus jumping act when greeting. With only a few weeks under our belt, these behaviors have improved. I truly feel the BarkBusters team has my back in helping me navigate the communication and relationship with my dog.
