We’ve been working with Holly for a few months and she has been such a huge help. We adopted a special needs shelter dog that had so many problems. He wouldn’t listen, was so stubborn, and showed signs of aggression towards our daughter. We were at the point of feeling like we had made a mistake, and that we were possibly not the right family for him.
PermalinkFast forward to now, he has no more aggressive behavior, listens, and you can tell he appreciates us. We know that we will probably have to reinforce his training for the rest of his life, especially since our pup has some medical issues, but we are so happy that he has come as far as he has. 10/10 would recommend Holly with Bark Busters.

I think Kendra with Barkbusters is fantastic. I purchased the lifetime support. At first, I honestly thought I could have purchased a lesser option because her initial teaching to us and our dog was so successful. We went from having a super-active, wildly ready to party dog to a well-behaved, super-active, happy and ready to play dog. She responded so well to learning the door boundary that I’ve never had to worry about her trying to run out. Then over the years, changes have occurred (new dog in the neighborhood, Covid changing schedules) and Kendra has continued to be there. Often, the tweaks she suggests are quick, easy and effective. Yes, it’s because we put in a lot of work on the front-end to follow her guidance. But also, it’s because she knows how to teach us to redirect our dog for the specific issues she’s having. If we ever get another dog, I would retain her services again in a heartbeat. And if you just got a new dog or are experiencing struggles with a dog whose been with you a while, I would strongly recommend Kendra and Barkbusters. Money well spent for us.

Michelle is amazing. Our rescue dog was out of control. Michelle spent time training us and working with Willow. Fantastic results after the first session. Our dog is learning so much and we are too. It's a miracle.

Josh was so great and informational during our initial visit and, as hard as it might be to believe, after the initial visit our three dogs were already behaving much better. Not only does his training method work, but it also is very pet friendly which is a major sticking point for our family.

I've watched the shows, read the books, even went to dog training academies... yet, my house was not my own. I live in a Dog House not MY house. Somewhere along the way, I stopped really enjoying my dogs and became their personal butler. Theresa devoted half a day to observe my interactions with my dogs, to patiently explain dog psychology and provide me with a foundation to then apply the training techniques. Never before has the 'why' behind the techniques ever been so thoroughly explained to me. By the time Theresa left, my entire pack was calmer, receptive and I could actually open the front door without a canine stampede. I can't describe how empowering this day has been. For months, I've felt very defeated and resigned to having to apologize for how poorly behaved my dogs are. I'm going to be working diligently applying my new knowledge until our next lesson. Already this evening, I enjoyed my supper without a horde of beggars around the table harassing me. The dogs are calm and relieved that I'm slowly stepping back into the role of confident pack leader. Isn't this why we have dogs? To blissfully coexist with them? To be understood by them? To have fun with them? If you're like me and you've lost your dogs' respect and you're frustrated, then call Theresa. She's knowledgeable, professional, patient and passionate about her work. Your dog will learn so much, and so will you.

Bark Busters has changed our lives. James is unlike any trainer, he is always there for anything that comes up. We've been working with him for the last 2 years since getting our dog, and he still comes out when we have questions. He's even helped us with our new puppy and the transition of bringing her into our family. This isn't just a one time, pay for training and be done, this is for the life of your pet. As life changes, as environments change, as your dog matures and other challenges come up, James has been there with us through it all. He's only a text away, and always makes time for us. I couldn't say enough good things about Bark Busters. If you're thinking about it, just do it, its the best investment we've ever made into having a well trained, obedient, and loyal dog. He takes the time to teach you about your dog so you can understand what training works and why. If I went back in time knowing what I do now, I would have only called sooner.

Elaina was such a big help with my puppy Jack. He was a rescue dog that I didn't have a background on. She helped me with crate training, walking on leash, biting, chewing, barking, jumping, everything! Jack respects me now all thanks to Elaina!

James has been such a phenomenal trainer and person throughout every interaction we have had with him. When we adopted Braxton, we were informed that he had behavioral issues with children and other animals. He had bitten myself within the first few weeks of taking him in so we began to search for someone to help us since we had not experienced this before, and giving him up was NOT an option. On our first visit with James, he took the time to educate us on Braxton's learned and inherited behaviors and certain things that could and could not be completely changed. We learned how to establish dominance and recreate our family dynamic in order for Braxton to feel more secure as well as situations that helped or hindered his traits. After working with James over multiple sessions- Braxton is a COMPLETELY different dog. It has been night and day of a difference. Our bonding has strengthened immensely and he has not bitten myself or my fiance a single time since we learned our new tools. I am telling you- James is an absolute miracle worker and has impacted our life in more ways than we can express. We are so incredibly grateful for his mentorship. 10/10 recommend!
