Photo of Bella Joshua was very thorough in explaining things to us. He also listened attentively and answered any questions we asked him. He was very knowledgeable and informative. All in all, it was a wonderful experience today!

Bella was very responsive in our first session. She is a very smart pup and a quick learner. I really enjoyed working with her today and her owners. I am looking forward to her progress.

Photo of Snooze Omar came over last night to help our family out w/ our Frenchie, Snooze. We've researched many techniques prior to calling Omar; however, we had no idea what he started teaching us to do. He didn't simply show us what to do, he thoroughly explained "why" this way of training is more effective long-term. He started explaining that we had to reverse the "humanizing" that we inadvertently caused. After giving us a foundation of knowledge, we began to learn how become "leaders of the pack" and how to effectively communicate that we don't need him to feel unsafe; "we got this". The techniques helped us establish boundaries, clear leadership, and make him feel safe and secure. Omar has shown us a whole new perspective on what and how Snooze thinks/feels. He totally "gets" how to interact on a dog's level. I'd recommend him and Bark Busters to ANYONE.

Photo of Snickerdoodle Very informative. Karen demonstrated what we needed to be doing to improve Snickers behavior in a way that it will be easier for us to remember. We are very impressed.

Photo of Skippy Too Skippy ws very head strong doing things his way. After one session he waits for permission to get on the couch, he walks better on the leash. Skippy is better behaved and less headstrong. I can tell with practise we will be able to enjoy walks and TV watching without him trying to tell us what to do.

I was about ready to give up on my dog until Dan walked into the picture. I tried other trainers. I tried treat training. It seemed that Maude and I were on separate pages. Thank goodness for Dan and his easy-to-follow but fun training! If you follow his methods and do your homework your dog will start listening to you. No more jumping at the front door and barking at other dogs while we walk. Yeah!!!!

I am not one generally to write reviews but I feel compelled to let others know about the great and immediate results that we saw while working with Michael for only three hours.

Homer came to us as a rescue dog, and while he is a sweetheart, he did have a few annoying habits. He was a jumper, a barker, a terrible leash walker and had no regard for personal space. I say was because within a few hours of training and a week of follow up, Homer has made such noticeable improvement that several visitors to our home made comments about his improvements and how much he changed in the course of just one week.

Homer is not our first dog and we were determined not to make the same mistakes that we made with our other fur babies. Michael was able to quickly show us some basic "dog speak" and "dog moves" that allowed us to help Homer understand the rules of our home. Michael has been responsive to our needs and has reached out to ensure that we are successful with our training so that we can help Homer be his best as well. I would whole heartedly recommend that you give Michael a chance with your dog and see what can happen!

Jon is struggling with his dog Doug being aggressive with new people in the home. Also is dog Ellie is barking at everyone and anything. Today our lesson went great and Doug was really responsive. Ellie was also responding well to our training techniques.

    Hi,
Happy Holidays! Thought you would like to know that Otis was tested to the max the last few days and was very well mannered. Greeting people, not counter surfing (maybe twice) and quickly redirected. Gentle with a puppy guest. We were very proud of him and our house full of guests (most overnight) were comfortable. He was present, but not intrusive. Otis would go to his crate when he needed a break, on his own.
Thank you. I am now ready for more socializing in our home. Best regards, Kathy
