I found BarkBusters on Google as I wanted to do more one on one training for my dog, Cooper, he’s a good dog but boy does he have a lot of energy! Mariah was great working with Cooper, the techniques work and best to be consistent with the homework! He’s still a loving, energetic boy (when needed) but he’s a lot better when interacting that he doesn’t get too excited. Thank you Mariah for taking the time to work with Cooper!

I was skeptical of trying yet a third dog trainer to stop my 3 1/2 year old Maltipoo from barking. I was highly referred from a friend, and I gave it a chance.
PermalinkSteve came to my apartment and met Lily, who proceeded to bark. Steve stood up, did his stance and gutteral noise, and Lily stopped her barking cold. It is not an exaggeration to say she became a different dog from that moment. In one session, Steve taught me how to reclaim my leadership in our relationship, and how to use her instinct to please towards redirecting her bad habits.
At the end of the session, we sat in an outdoor cafe at a busy intersection where many other dogs pass by. Lily would normally be barking incessantly. The New Lily sat quietly at my feet, not in fear, but reconciled to the fact that it is no longer her job to scare away other dogs. I am so grateful.

What an improvement on day 1. The techniques and guidance provided by Joshua are already helping. He helped distinguish " act of correction" rather than actually correcting. Highly recommend!

After spending 2 1/2 hours with Mark all I can say is that we made an Excellent choice on picking someone to teach us how to train 2 seven month old puppies. The way everything was explained to us and demonstrated was phenomenal. Our puppies responded quite well to the training that we did that day but also left my wife and I with a feeling of confidence that we can train our pups and a level of calm that I surely did not expect. Our dogs responded immediately to some of the techniques shown to us and knowing that Mark is available to us at any point in time is reassuring. We both can't thank Mark enough. His professionalism and demeanor were amazing. EXCELLENT choice for any dog owner in need of training, you won't regret it.

Jeri has helped my husband and I SOO much become better leaders for our dogs, Copper (2-year-old Bernedoodle) and Blossom (1 year old Bernese Mountain dog). She is so kind, inciteful, and very quick to respond. We recently adopted Blossom, who did not seem to have any prior training before us. We have working on her walking on a leash, not jumping up, not chewing everything she can get her mouth on, being more patient, and recall. Copper only really needed work on not jumping up and better recall. They both have excelled SO much with Jeri's lesson plan that she has provided us with! Not only has this taught us more about our dogs, but also about us and we have been shaped into better leaders for them. It's only been two months since we started training with Jeri, but I cannot wait to see how much better they will be by the end of the year. Highly recommend!!

We were able to address and correct our dogs' poor habits and reactivity whole walking and in our home. We can already tell these new lessons will improve our lives with our fury companions.
