Photo of Mocha We were amazed how quickly Mocha responded to simple non-aggressive language. She's a high energy pup but Rob showed us how to channel it and redirect her urges.

This was our first day of training and we saw immediate results. Erind arrived right on time, was friendly, attentive, and informative. He took time to listen to our concerns and provided different training exercises to deal with the specific issues and made suggestions. He even observed them and brought up items of concern we hadn't even noticed that could be potential issues in the future. Bark Busters is great because it is not treat dependent (because let's face it, I don't always have treats on me. What if I run out? Not to mention, sometimes our dogs are too distracted to be enticed by a treat). They use techniques to show the dogs that you (the owner) are the leader. They use training exercises so the dogs become accustomed to you giving out the orders. With a little time, patience, and practice, I'm 100% sure we will get our babies acting on their best behavior. The key to this type of training is that you (the owner) have to practice with your dog everyday. The repetition helps with your dog's training. And since you're the one giving orders, you have to practice with your dogs to set boundaries and to earn their respect as their pack leader.

Today we were able to maintain space and set boundaries so the dogs waited by the kitchen door while I rattled treats and tempted them to run in. It's dangerous for them to follow me around while cooking since I don't want anything hot to accidentally spill on them. We also dropped treats on the floor, and they did not pick them up until we invited them. They stopped barking at the door and also learned to stop jumping on us. This was all accomplished on day one, which lasts about 3-4 hours. We were pleasantly surprised how quickly the dogs picked everything up and how attentive they were. Even after Erind left, we continued to correct them. They both stayed by the kitchen door while I rattled their after dinner treat. And adorably and obediently, they then waited and received their well deserved morsel.

Walking will be a challenge for us since we have a 6 month pup that is super alpha and our 4 year old is having to relearn. But we are hopeful. With their special collars we've already seen a difference. Buddy our 4 year old is already staying by my side. Though he's not a puller. He's a very curious, stimulated dog, so he loves walking ahead. Bella our baby loves to pull and tug. She could drag a body up the street with her strength. However, with today's corrections she followed and was more attentive.

The first day is intense, can be confusing to your pups, can be confusing and overwhelming for you, and it doesn't help I was also timid in practicing the exercises. I'm horribly shy... However, it was a very informative and an enjoyable experience. We can't wait until our next session to level up with these pups. I'll update once that time comes. But until then, we will be practicing these exercises everyday in hopes of being able to walk theses kids off leash without any issues. Because honestly, there's nothing more wonderful than seeing your dogs feel happy and carefree, tongue hanging out, ears flapping through the air, without a harness or leash (while being able to call them right back to you).

*Pricing: It's a one time fee for lifetime support. There is only one plan and one fee. So don't bother haggling. No matter if it's one or two dogs or three or ten. You just list the names of the dogs. The training is transferable to any city or state Bark Busters is available in case you move. All of the training is good for all the dogs to learn so they are on the same page. Once again, you're the leader of your wolf pack. So even if you think your one pup may be pretty well behaved, there's always something you can work on and it's best for all of them to understand what you are communicating. I thought the pricing was expensive at first, but with lifetime support, it's a no brainer. At minimum $200 a session per dog with just an independent trainer, it adds up.
*Scheduling: Booking the first appointment was easy. They called right back when I left a message. They also texted my number. Be sure to label their number. At first it went straight to SPAM and was blocked. The Bark Busters number goes to a call center where they book according to availability. For the 2nd appointment, it's suggested you take 2-4 weeks to practice exercises first. Erind gave us his cell number and left a contact card as well as information on each exercise we learned, a calendar to check off the exercises each day, as well as a whole folder of wonderful information. He also reiterated if we forget something he would gladly walk us through the exercises again and he's just a phone call away.

I really can't fully express how great today's experience was. I am extremely hopeful our pups will be the face of model doggos.

Photo of Cara and Charlotte Josh is an incredible teacher and our two dogs responded to him immediately. Very happy we chose Josh to work with us, my husband and I learned a number of techniques that we have applied with immediate results. Looking forward to working with Josh and highly recommend him to anyone interested in the right way to train and enjoy your dogs. A real pro and a great trainer!

Evan did an amazing job! I have a larger breed dog who has always been on the more aggressive side. Bruno is now much easier to control while on walks and after one lesson with Evan he knows who the boss is and obeys even around other dogs. He went above and beyond explaining things to us and was quick to respond. I’ve never been happier with a trainer and it was worth every dollar!!! I would recommend to anybody who’s on the edge!

Moose has been really struggling with barking at every sound in the home and at dogs on his walks. Today we addressed these issues along with his separation anxiety. He responded very well, and Riley was pleased! I am looking forward to his progress over the coming months!
