I was a doubter. I had done other training with our 3 year old pitbull/lab mix. The training never stuck or fixed the problems. We called Keith because we were desperate, because we couldn’t bring Daisy anywhere without her jumping and nipping at people, and couldn’t have guests over either for the same reason.

Keith came over and did his presentation explaining his methods, and then we saw an IMMEDIATE change with Daisy. I honestly couldn’t believe it! She was like a new dog! He stayed for another 2-3 hours as we reinforced some other things.

We now have the tools going forward and know Keith is just a call away if we see regression. High recommend... first session is worth the price alone!

Photo of Banjo I reached out to Bark Busters after my 6-month-old Bluetick Coonhound, Banjo, bit me multiple times on a walk; I got bitten on some walks but this one was particularly awful. I remember my neighbor said that “I have the option to give him away,” I was devastated but that absolutely was not an option for me. After that incident, not only was I afraid to take Banjo on walks alone without my boyfriend, but I was also ashamed and embarrassed. I knew Banjo just needed better training, but I did not have the tools yet. After the first lesson with Jerry, my boyfriend and I were taught how to show Banjo that we are pack leaders, which not only decreased his aggression, but calmed his nerves.
After the first session, we noticed dramatic differences. Jerry explained in terms I can understand how dogs think about packs, and that Banjo thinks he is the pack leader, which was the root of the problem. After coaching me and my boyfriend, I can say with full honesty that I no longer am afraid of getting bitten on my walks with Banjo. Not only am I not afraid, but I am excited and look forward to our walks together. Since I am able to communicate to Banjo in a way he understands, our bond has become incredible.
Jerry was patient, honest, and genuine. I am a young woman, and this is my first puppy, and his guidance gave me the confidence I needed to train him properly. Banjo is now 8 months old and does not show signs of aggression in any way; he’s like another puppy! I would recommend Bark Busters to any owner who is experiencing aggression, or any other issue that Bark Buster deals with. A true LIFE SAVER!

Photo of Meelo Leigh Ann is awesome. We didn’t feel judged by our lack of dog knowledge. We’ve never really had dogs. We feel much more confident and went to buy all of the other things we didn’t have the next day (additional toys, treats, and potty clean up stuff). She’s great.

I have to admit that I was a little skeptical that this training would work for my 2 year old rescue, but it did! I waited a few months after calling Bark Busters, because I thought it was too expensive. However, my dog's barking and anxiety got worse, so I decided to bite the bullet and make an appointment with Ryan. BEST MOVE EVER AND WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!!! The appointment was 3 hours. Most of the appointment was educating me on "speaking dog" and nutrition. Then we put my new tactics into action. My dog responded immediately and it is SOOOOO EASY!!!!! We only had to ring the doorbell 3 different times and my dog was cured of barking at the doorbell and charging to the door. It sounds unbelievable and it is!!!! Now when my doorbell rings, my dog might bark once to alert me, but he doesn't charge the door at all. GAME CHANGER!!!! The stress level of people coming over is gone! My dog is well behaved and even listens great in the car. NO MORE JUMPING in the front seat while I am driving. He sits in the back like a good dog. Ryan is coming back in a few weeks for a follow up. I can't imagine my dog getting even better, because now he is PERFECT in my eyes! Thank you Ryan for changing our family dynamics. NO MORE STRESS because of the dog here! The Schulte Family household is a lot more balanced because of you!!!

My wife and I met Josh Gent for an initial training session on January 5th. He spoke with us regarding our goals for our dog Hogan. He then explained the philosophy of Bark Busters and shared some background information about himself and how he came to be with the company. During this time he was also watching and assessing Hogan's interactions with all of us. He then did some exercises with the dog relating to personal space. after that both my wife and I did the same exercises with promising results. We also did some leash walking exercise also with promising results. Well, here we are three days later and there is a monumental change in Hogan's behavior. Even some of my neighbors have commented on the change in Hogan. Josh has a genuine love for animals which is plainly evident. There isn't anything he did to frighten or browbeat our dog. He also accomplished this new behavior without using treats. We can't wait for Hogan to have another session with Josh. My wife and I highly recommend Josh. He will most definitely make a difference in any dogs behavior.

I had the best walk I have ever had with my dog in the three months since we brought him home...this morning. Why? A visit from Bark Busters. Its easy to feel helpless when you have an inattentive or aggressive dog. Its also easy to get consumed by that helpless feeling and get sloppy in whatever path you have chosen to train your dog. Within a few minutes of speaking with Josh and how clear and articulate he is about your mission moving forward, you feel so much less helpless. He demonstrates simple things instantly upon meeting your dog, which offers you so much empowerment as the dogs owner right from the start. He is not only helping train your animal he is helping to train you. I learned how much my dog actually wants me to help and to lead. I started understanding he wasn't going to resent me, our bond would actually be stronger in the long run. This made me feel very much at ease. It was a big obstacle for me to overcome. I didn't want to have that feeling that I was offending my best buddy. His aggressive behavior with other dogs has been quite a cross to bear in Brooklyn where there are many, many dogs. I learned a couple small things from Josh that truly empowered me to control any situation with another animal in seconds. Previously an encounter with another dog could ruin the rest of a walk as my pup would be inconsolably stressed. Not today! Managed...and moved on instantly. I am so grateful for the help given and looking forward to watching my dog learn more and more. Most importantly I am looking forward to the long and wonderful stress free walks I know that await us this Spring.
