We are so happy to have hired Bonnie and BarkBusters. We rescued Stout late September since we thought great idea, we are stuck home. Well, few months later we couldn't leave. The destruction and the howling was unbearable. He also was barking at every little noise. The walking was getting worse, not better. the idea was for our 15 yr old to go on walks alone, not possible. The jumping and lunging! he only way we could walk him was as a family and that wasn't the point. In walks Bonnie and BarkBusters..within 2 hrs - she was able to communicate to Stout that he didn't need to protect. The best part is she trained us to continue with these same easy methods that we can all do. Bonnie came back 2 weeks later to help us more on walking and the transformation was incredible. Stout was so much more relaxed and we were too. We are so happy we made the investment in Stout and BarkBusters and thrilled to have Bonnie as support!

Theresa is an excellent trainer and is teaching me how to train my Australian Shepherd, Finn. Finn is very intelligent but very hyperactive, and within one session I have seen significant changes in his behavior. She has taught me how to assert myself as a pack leader and my dog is responding very well. I highly recommend booking Theresa!

Cannot recommend Bark Busters training enough! Our dog was a terrible leash puller. We tried multiple training methods / YouTube tutorials and could not get him to stop. However, we saw results within the first hour of working with Andy. Andy gave us a new way of thinking about training and adapted to our dog’s specific needs & motivations. Absolutely worth the investment!

I cannot stress how amazing Damon has been in managing our pack! We brought in two rescues over two months to our established one dog household. It was chaos and challenges. Through Damon we have established good rules, dog etiquette and are working through our pack. We are becoming a family and it wouldn't have ever been able to happen without Damon and his guidance.

Hi Lee,
PermalinkHappy New Year.
Here is a quick update re our progress with Sammie and Bibi:
1. Sammie is walking really well on a leash and unless we are going out in sleet and snow, he is happy to trot along beside me. He rarely charges ahead but I haven’t specifically addressed this yet as I’m so happy he’s even walking.
2. The reluctance to climb the step to the front door has just about been solved (after installing the no slip visible tape on the step). The key to success was just to allow him to approach the step at his own pace (not ours) with gentle encouragement.
3. We put a porch potty near our front Porch because they don’t like trying to use the lawn in really bad weather. It took about 3 weeks but they have started to use it when we want them to (helpful late at night when we don’t want to trek out in the dark or in bad weather.)
4. I am practicing putting them both in a ‘sit, stay’ until released when we come in from walks and while we take coats and boots off. Bibi is very obedient and good at this, Sammie is getting there ...just a little more distractible than Bibi.’
5. Bibi still barks occasionally at the people who come to the front door...but getting better. She barks less frequently at truck drivers and other dogs now.

We are very pleased and impressed with this training. "Surprised" would be appropriate also! Brian continues to do very well & we are grateful to Pat Conn for this training.

I adopted a rescue chihuahua named Taco from the ASPCA a few weeks ago. I thought I could handle a 9 lb. dog as my first dog, I was wrong. He had high levels of separation anxiety, always pulled on his leash, was not house trained, and most important of all kept attacking my cat to the point where she had to stay absolutely silent in her hiding place or else Taco would bark and growl at her nonstop. Robert addressed all these issues and was able to help me to get Taco to leave my cat alone. I was thankful beyond words for this because there was no way I was getting rid of either pet. I had my cat for 13 years since she was a kitten and I had already gotten very attached to Taco. Robert is patient, prompt, and very knowledgeable in the field of dog training. He is always willing to help with any questions you may have and shed a lot of light as to why Taco was behaving the way he was. Robert’s techniques really work and as a first-time dog owner, I was able to learn what exactly needed to be done so my dog would listen to my words. If you’re in need with your dog like I was, don’t hesitate to make Robert your dog’s trainer.
