Navigating the challenges of owning an 8-week-old Golden Retriever would have been incredibly overwhelming without Kevin's help! As first-time puppy owners, my wife and I were unsure how to handle all the different phases. Theresa is the best. Our golden retriever Tallahassee “Tally” needed help with puppy biting, door greeting strangers, leash work and recall. Theresa has a way that is down to the science of speaking a language that dogs understand. No treats, no shock collars - and wow we have a manageable dog.

We had one session with Kayla so far and I cannot believe the difference in our puppy. Kayla is patient, kind and extremely educated in her field. My puppy Luna, as well as my son Richard and I have already benefited from her first session. I have every confidence that Kayla, will continue to make our first ever puppy experience successful.

Jef has been a blessing to us with our four month old Maltipoo. I researched many trainers and I am so glad we chose to go with Bark Busters and Jef. He taught us about communication, leadership, specific training techniques, he helps us anticipate our puppy’s behavior changes as he grows and gives us homework and a training schedule that is tailored to our puppy and family needs. After our first session with him the overall feeling in our house was SO much less stressful. Jef is available when we have a concern or if we need help. He is prompt, thorough and very kind. We love Jef!

Do not hesitate to call Barbara! This is my second dog to work with Bark Busters. Barbara worked wonders with our first dog, a Labrador Retriever that we were struggling with a drastic change in his behavior that we had noted with a new baby in the house and a divorce in progress. Her work with myself and my older children helped immensely and I had not doubts about calling her on again recently with our newest dog, 1 year old lab mix.
PermalinkOur newest addition, Penelope, reached the zenith of her bad puppy behaviors (jumping on guests, pulling on the leash, ignoring us when called etc.) during this past Christmas season and in desperation I reached out to Barbara to give us a hand. The change in our household with Penelope’s new manners was so quick and dramatic we had friends and family marveling over the difference in such a short time. Of course, working with a dog is always ongoing but Barbara provided the tools, encouragement and instruction we needed to get on the right course. She truly listens to your situation and the dog’s unique quirks and provides customized training plans to work on specific behaviors. She is very responsive via text for a quick question – something we really appreciate. I highly recommend her services to anyone struggling with troubling canine behaviors!

I called bark busters in need of help with two new puppies. They were so quick to get back to me and answer all the questions I had. When they came out I was skeptical that neither dog would respond to the training. After the first exercise the dogs were already listening to me. I love that they teach YOU how to train the dog rather than them doing it for you. My dogs have already made a huge improvement from just the first session. I can’t wait to see how they continue to do.
