My family and I rescued our pup Rocco in January 2023. Rocco was nippy with my son and I mostly, barked most of the time, struggled to obey basic commands like stay, and he was tough on the leash when small children, other dogs, or bikes would go by our house. Our first visit was informative and opened our eyes to different ways to handle our Rocco without food/treats or those prong collars. Roccos training has all been verbal and what a difference Barbara has made!! Rocco has responded wonderfully and we are now able to walk outside peacefully while people/dogs/bikes go by, he waits for us to tell him its ok to come out of his crate, knows to stay when exiting a door or when the front door bell rings . Rocco has also stopped nipping. What difference 3 sessions as made. I highly recommend Barbara. She is a pleasure to have had in our home and Rocco also really enjoyed her being here always bringing her his toys lol
PermalinkBarbara and Bark Busters training is top notch and would be the only training I would recommend. Thank you Barbara, for all you have helped us with
Thank you for your kind words and for taking the time to convey them.
Best regards, Barbara

Our little Bella doesn't like treats, I had no idea how to train her. Theresa has shown us simple things that have made a huge difference. I love that she does this in our home & we did not have to send our baby away for training.

My wife and I grew up with dogs and for the most part, simple training (house breaking, general responsiveness) worked just fine. However, we quickly realized that was not going to be the case when we adopted our good boy, Gus, from ARF when he was 1 year and 3 months. Gus is a Pitbull/Mastiff/Terrier and is much more active and athletic than any other we have had.
PermalinkGus has high prey drive, extremely curious, stubborn and independent, highly active and a bit destructive, and took some time to learn his new name (previously Catamaran and prior to that a number)
Given all this, we felt it necessary to call in help and it could not have been a better decision - Dan and the BarkBuster principals are a game changer.
There is no magic bullet and Dan made that very clear - it is on every Dog Parent to DO THE WORK!
However, with the the tools, knowledge and routines Dan has given us, Gus is able to have more freedom to explore and we are more confident in introducing him to new experiences, places, people and other dogs.
He went from absolutely ignoring me any time we went outside to a (developing) off leash dog who is hiking right at my side and extremely attentive to the core commands (Wait, No, Come and Heel). He went from not knowing how to play with other dogs and respect boundaries, to being best friends with a Dachshund and part of a pack.
When we first told people how much we were paying for training they thought we were crazy. However, these are now the same people commenting on what a good boy Gus is and how calm and attentive he is.
Some dogs can afford to be untrained (we have had them our whole lives). Gus was not one of them. And we felt we owed it to Gus and ourselves to call in help and we are so grateful we did.
Thank you, Dan, for giving us the confidence, tools and knowledge to live our best life.

Kyle has been amazing with training our puppy (or actually training us) to understand and interact with Buie so that we understand each other. We are much slower learners than our dog but the changes have been significant. Puppy nipping has reduced considerably and his walking on leash, waiting, and behavior with others is great for a 5 month old. Kyle’s suggestions and demonstrations have made a difference. He has also adapted some training tips so that we are more able to implement them. His willingness to answer calls and emails has helped in between visits. Having him come to our home and work with us in our environment was a great decision and well worth the investment.

After trying multiple rounds of group training without my issues being resolved, I reached out to Bark Busters after hearing about them from a friend. I just had my first training session with Randy and am feeling way more relieved. He kept the training fun and engaging, while also making necessary corrections to both myself and Hunter. He even got my “ not the one that goes to training” mother involved. Our first session flew by and I feel more confident going into our future sessions. I would totally recommend Bark Busters for all training needs and definitely worth the money knowing they will always be available for Hunter for years to come.

I was so appreciative of Mariah’s guidance. I had no idea that some of the things I was doing to comfort my dogs was actually making their anxiety worse! We’re only on day 2 of practicing our newly learned techniques and I’m already seeing some improvements! Our pack of three seems to really respect and feel more relaxed around their reformed “leaders!” I’m so appreciative of the support and genuine care Mariah provided with our fur family. We’ve seen small improvements after only one training day, and I am excited about what more we’ll see with more practice!
