Rachel and Betty Lou are godsends. I was really worried that we’d never get a handle on Geena’s pack leader mentality, but these ladies trained us how to let Geena know we are the Alphas and she doesn’t have to protect us 24/7. She’s already more relaxed and she’s responding very well to us now that we are learning to speak dog!! Here she is, tired out from our training session?

I just finished my initial training session with Luis. I have 5 dogs in my house and my main issues are 2 things, 1 is that when ever there is someone at the door, our boys go nuts barking and running at the door wanting to jump all over our guest before we can even say hello to them and the second thing is that I can no longer take my dogs out for a walk or run because they have become impossible to walk together, they will pull me to the point that I can’t handle them because they pull me to the ground that’s how strong they are.
PermalinkWell, with our first session we practiced ringing the doorbell and having guest walk in, after the second exercise, the boys did not run to the door or barked at the door, instead they stayed completely away and so I was able to greet my guest and have them come in with no dogs jumping all over them.
My second issue of walking the boys together, we did some exercises of walking them together in my backyard around the pool and they seemed to do great, now the real test will come after I’m done doing this for 10 days, then I get to take them out on the street and see how they behave.
I truly believe in his program, I believe it’s very effective and will work as long as I am consistent with the training and follow all his instructions.
I can honestly say, I would recommend Luis to anyone that has a dog and wants to have the best relationship with them and not a frustrating one.

We tried 2 other dog training companies before Bark Busters and were so frustrated with the lack of success. We were thrilled after the very first session with Dan Lan Franco of Bark Busters!!! Dan really knows dogs!! And the fact that he comes to our home where the behavioral issues happen makes all the sense in the world. Being with a trainer at a public park with the other companies didn't work to address our shitzu's barking when we leave the house or when a stranger comes. We are so grateful to have found Dan.

Bark Busters has helped immensely with our two reactive rescue dogs!
PermalinkEven after the first training session, our 3 year-old dog showed marked improvement. For example, when I took him on a walk the night after the first training, we encountered a neighbor dog—in the past they would lunge and bark at each other. With the techniques learned, our dog remained calm walking past the other dog who was lunging and barking from across the street. It felt like we were on another planet—it was so different from past experiences and a relief! Our other dog is a 6 month old puppy and has also responded well to the training. It’s been great to instill good habits early on.
Ryanne has continued to refine our training and troubleshoot issues that arise. She even brought her dog and training partner Omar to further address specific concerns.
We have learned a lot. The Bark Buster training has been more effective than any class that we tried in the past. I especially like that it does not depend on treats and is focused on better understanding dogs and establishing respect as a leader of the pack.
As a result, we have very happy dogs and humans in our home. It definitely has been worth the investment!

We had success with Apollo from the moment Robert walked in. We understand more about leadership habits and being assertive. Green zone is the goal! Leash walk outside was good training, too.

My husband and I acquired Red, a Redbone Coon Hound, as a scared rescue. Almost immediately, things were not going well. Red was fearful of any noises and even after basic dog training left it almost impossible to get her to go for a daily walk. There were other issues that led my husband and I to believe that she needed help. We needed help in overcoming her timid (scared) behavior.
PermalinkWe contacted Bark Busters, because our other alternative was to return Red to the rescue agency. My Zoom meetings with Marlene and Brandon provided great insight into Red's timid personality. One that cannot be changed, but methods are available to help both Red and us with a successful, loving relationship. Brandon came to our house and immediately worked with us and Red. The methods and equipment quickly had Red following instruction for both our daily walk (getting her to trust walking across the street) and positive responses to daily interaction.
Red's strength is that she is a very compassionate dog, but needed appropriate direction around visitors, and trust that our affection was genuine. Bark Busters' help was the expertise we needed. Now Red doesn't run away from us. Rather, she comes to greet us and spend her time with us. Obedience, well that is so much better.

Mason was great! In just a few hours we saw a huge difference in our two dogs behaviors! We tried another training service before this and this has already been more impressive in a shorter time. Highly recommend!!
