Theresa was very patient with us as it was more about people training than training our dog. We have a 2 year old hunting/herding breed and so we wanted to work with her on recall and knowing who is the “pack leader” in the house. Theresa will not move on until each objective has been met. The training was easy to understand and very effective even on the first visit. Our dog’s personality and how we’ve tried to work with her on our own created a good springboard for what we learned today. But, had we started from absolutely the beginning it would have been just as rewarding to see the difference. And boy, is there a difference! I am more confident as the pack leader and just after one day there is more harmony in my communication with her. All in all, a great experience working with Theresa which has lifted the stress of communication and behavioral traits we wanted to work on. Would highly recommend!

We have a Jack Russell-Blue Heeler mix and Theresa has been a great asset to our family. She came and informed us of what was wrong. It was us not Oreo. She left us with tools that have proven to be successful. And I must say that I realize we are a perfect fit for Oreo.

We felt empowered after one session. Our adopted Boxers had prior training with Bark Busters but we didn't know how to communicate with them in the language they understood. The tools we were taught in our first session were immediately valuable. Results were viable, easy and instantly useful.

We have a 7 month old male German Shepherd who was showing signs of fearful aggression and separation anxiety. Within 1 day of using the tools MIchael showed us, we had a major turn around in Thunder's behavior. He no longer barks at strangers and other dogs and follows our commands (usually, since he is still a puppy!). Michael is the best trainer we have ever worked with. His process of training the owners and not the dog really works. Life with our dog is so much easier, and Thunder is clearly happier. We give Michael the highest recommendation.

I have had only had the initial visit with Brandon and I am truly amazed! Not only is he wonderful, his knowledge and teaching style is wonderful! I have two German Shepherds who are litter-mates, a male and a female. The immediate response I got from the dogs were amazing. One example is when they were pups, I got them when they were 12 weeks, they are now 2.5, they were allowed on my bed. However, as they grew and began shedding more I no longer wanted them on my bed. I could not keep them from jumping on my bed so I used a baby gate to keep them out of my room. For the first time ever that night after training I took the gate down and they did NOT jump on my bed but slept next to the bed. It seems like a miracle to me lol. Thank you Brandon/Bark Busters!

Great. Definitely gave use a start. Nikki is smart and needed to figure out who the boss was. She is learning.

Thank you for taking the time to teach us new techniques. I appreciate that you also included my mother-in-law in the training.

Can you speak dog? Not right now but you can learn with Risto's help and it will change the life of you and your dog. Risto came to our home to evaluate our 5 month old Golden Retriever and it was amazing how his methods worked. At first the thought of speaking dog seemed ridiculous, but this in combination with immediate praise works! You have to do your homework for just 15 minutes/day. This way owners and their 4 legged kiddos don't feel overwhelmed and you will soon see progress. Everything from not jumping on guests, constant barking, chewing, staying away from the door and every concern you have is addressed, and best of all no shock collars or punishment. Another plus is that they are there for the lifetime of your dog to assist with any issues. If you are considering training for your pup, give Bark Busters and Risto Deinlein a call so you can speak dog too!

I was originally worried that Mandy was too young to be tried at 6 months -- I was so wrong! Come to find out that was the perfect age -- before the bad habits start. Carol is PHENOMENAL! Carol offered great training advice for bother Mandy and I.
PermalinkWhen I started looking at trainers I was nervous thinking that Mandy would love us less because we started instilling boundaries but what Mandy taught us was to communicate with Mandy. Not punish but to communicate with her like her dog parents would. Totally dog friendly and even Mandy is grateful because now she understands what we want.
