Scot is a professional, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable dog trainer. He is also very easy to work with. In just one session he helped me understand the inner working of a dog’s brain so I could understand why my very aggressive dog was acting the way she was. Scot gave me practical tools on how to correct her aggression by using behaviors dogs use in nature-along with some actual tools that do not harm the dog physically or emotionally. He was patient and encouraging as we worked through different situations. He gives you homework and will check in on your progress. I am very excited to have found Scot as he is the only trainer I have seen actual results with! I highly recommend him!

Ben at Bark Busters is absolutely amazing and made our lives much less stressful for us and our dog Mika. We adopted a sweet lab mix who came with some quirks. She has a lot of energy and will play all day long if she could which would result in her barking incessantly at us until we would play fetch (even if we have already played for hours). Additionally, we had issues with her rushing the door while barking and jumping up on guests.

Lastly, Mika struggled greatly while walking on the leash. Although she is super friendly with dogs at daycare and other instances off the leash, if she saw or heard a dog within a 100 yards of us, she would pull, bark, lunge, and alligator roll on the end of the leash. Not only was this extremely embarrassing, but it is incredibly tiring to walk a dog who makes you feel like Steve Erwin capturing a wild alligator every time we see another dog.

We tried many training tactics including trying to distract her with her favorite human food and nothing was working. At this point, I found Bark Busters and I am so glad I did. Ben came to our home and spent 3 hours explaining how and why the methods taught at Bark Busters works along with training us how to communicate with Mika. Ben showed us a few simple commands, not 20 different commands to memorize and make sure you are doing right.

The results were immediate and lasting. Our first training session was three months ago and Mika is so much more relaxed and well behaved in the house. No more incessant barking to play and rushing the door to bark at and jump on guests. She is the same sweet Mika that loves to play and get love from everyone, but now she is more relaxed and waits for permission from us. Even skeptical family members were extremely impressed with the results of Mika's training.

A few weeks later, we had a second session with Ben to work on walking on the leash. Although Mika is not perfect on the leash quite yet, we have made so much improvement and we are still getting better! We are now at the point where Mika will make a lot of stressful noises and pull some while walking past another barking dog, but she is no longer alligator rolling and lunging like crazy while making scary barking noises. She also goes back to being relaxed so quickly instead of barking for ages after the other dog is gone. We are so proud of her continuing improvement on the leash.

Lastly, but most importantly, all of Ben's training methods deal with proper communication and not scaring or hurting dogs. No shock collars, or choke chains, just clear communication. Our only regret was not calling Bark Busters sooner, so if you are on the fence just do it. It is worth increasing the quality of life for you and your dog.

Photo of Nala and Laney Nathan is a Husky Whisperer! For those of you who don't know how hyper and stubborn huskies are. Nala (16 mo old) is not jumping, pulling, being overly needy, and is walking on leash! We're working on chewing (today's lesson)
The training makes total sense and he gives you the WHY behind why the do what they do and how to counter that behavior. She's exhausted and napping after each session. Thanks Nathan. See ya in few weeks!!

We have spent thousands of dollars on other training and nothing worked. Sammy listened to them but not us. Then we found Steve. He is truly the dog whisper. Sammy would bite, jump, and just make us unhappy. Steve Showed us how to teach Sammy. He helped us understand why Sammy does what he did. Today we have a wonderful happy dog. We are so happy that we now have a dog that listens and respects us. I truly don't know where we be today with Sammy if Steve was not here to help us. I would recommend Bark Busters to anyone who needs help. Oh, and one more thing There is no Bad dog just a miss understood dog. Thank you, Steve, you really made a differance.

Patrick came to our house 1 week ago he spent 2 hours with my husband and myself. Our pup Stella is a 10-month-old Golden Doodle, extremely smart and sweet, but yet a puppy. Patrick explained the concept to us, it was simple, unbelievably easy to learn and to implement. Stella no longer jumps on us she no longer lunges on the leash, no more rushing the front door, now she's not perfect, we need to continue working with her daily, but the difference is night and day. THANK YOU!!!!!!!
