Chris came to our house and was able to help us with a unique situation. My husband has cancer and as a result, isn’t able to speak or vocalize in any way. Chris came with a detailed training plan using hand signals and body language to help us adapt…. And BOY was it effective! We were amazed how well our pups responded. Our babies have a bit of an age gap, one is 10 years and one is 8 months, and Chris helped us communicate with both without any hitches. We’ve already started our follow-up exercises and can’t wait to see how well they develop. Chris- thank you!!!

Believe me…if you live in Mpls and have any issue with your dog(s), you must call Lydia and Michael of Bark Busters! I could kick myself for procrastinating (as I always do) for weeks after hearing about them from a relative. Moving from our big house in Duluth to a one-bedroom apartment in Mpls was a big adjustment for both Lucy and me. In the past 6 to 7 years Lucy had only guarded her bones, but now she slowly started guarding household items. It wasn’t fun watching this cute, previously funny vizsla take total control of my life. Of course, I was smart enough to figure out how to get my phone, shoe, remote back, but it was time consuming, enabling, and totally embarrassing. It took years for this problem to develop, and I couldn’t imagine how it could be solved. And then Lydia arrived at my apartment! That night I walked into bedroom to find Lucy standing over my phone. I said ‘drop it’ in a low, quiet voice……AND SHE DID!
PermalinkI still can’t believe that in ~ two hours Lydia trained both of us and I became the leader in this pack of two. Guarding was the most disruptive issue she helped us with, but my training list went on: front door barking, attentiveness, jumping up on guests, barking at other dogs, pulling on her leash. See what I mean by magic?
Lydia is such a fun person to deal with and she obviously loves dogs and people! You can feel totally comfortable inviting this team into your home, so don’t wait like I did…call them!

Deb is great to work with and has been very thorough and responsive to my questions and issues with my two pups. Support remains ongoing as we work through behavioral issues, but I'm seeing some improvement already after just a few weeks.
PermalinkBark Busters provides support for a variety of behavioral issues and also provides advice on things such as diet. As a result we have switched to higher quality dog food as it was potentially causing some of the underlying stressful behaviors.

Lola had terrible barking issues at the front door and in the car. With in a total of 20 minutes both issues were under control. We recommend Bark Busters to anyone who loves their dog with issues that need correcting.

Very educational regarding behavior and communication with our dog. Taught a more effective way to express desired/undesirable behavior to the dog in a way he understood.

Oh. My. Dog.
PermalinkSeriously. They're not enough words to describe how amazing Bark Busters was.
We had a 10 yr old 70 lb rescue (pitbull/rhodesian ridgeback mix) who had a checkered past (had been used as a bait dog). We have had her for 9 years and she's been good. Iffy with some dogs so we just kept her out of dog parks. Mid January we rescued another dog (pitbull/staffy/? Mix) He is about 1yr old and was found running in a parking lot, emaciated. Well introductions didn't go well. He was partially house trained and knew how to sit but had NO doggy manners at all. He'd pull horribly on the leash, jump and climb all over us and the other dog. At which point she'd growl and then he'd try to bite her Throat. It was at the point we had baby gates installed and had to keep them separate. We were desperate And worried we might have to send the new dog back to the Humane Society.
ONE SESSION with Justin, at our home and the difference was LITERALLY night and day. I even had the two of them laying in our bed together! He walks nicely on the leash now, and we can even FEED them together!!! I can't say ENOUGH about this trainer. NO shock collar/prong collar/choke chain needed. And no excessive use of treats needed. I know. sounds like voodoo or something but IT WORKS. He's pricier than your standard "obedience" training but it's worth it!!! He works with you AND the dog. He comes to you so your dog is being trained in the home environment.
TLDR: BEST. TRAINER. EVER. Worth every penny! YOU WANT THIS TRAINER. TRUST ME.
