Photo of Barklee A lot to absorb for me (not the dog). Josh is very knowledgeable. Hoping for the best! Everything makes good sense!

    Trainer Note:
Barklee has turned to marking all over Jerry's home. This has been driving him crazy, but today was the first paw in the right direction. Now that Jerry has the tools and the knowledge, we will get Barklee on track!

This is a follow up training after our original training 4 plus years ago! Our bucolic life changed when a new neighbor moved in with a dog! Sherlock an aggressive barker and more needed help. Nicole’s calm demeanor fooled me again. I thought no way is this going to work. EVERY SINGLE SUGGESTION works. Nicole’s communication is always prompt, encouraging and reassuring. I look forward to her guiding me further so that my dogs are the best they can be.

Thank you, Barbara! Great to see you and Sherlock and Watson again and so glad we were able to sort things out and get them back on track quickly!!

We are so excited to have received training from Patrick at Bark Busters. Our overall goal was to better communicate with our dogs, and to make them more comfortable with each other. (We added a new puppy, Arlo, to our pack, and he thought he was the alpha. He also had terrible separation anxiety from my husband which made it difficult putting him in his crate without whining, yipping, or barking, or walking him since he was pulling me so much).

Not only did Patrick help us better communicate with our pups, but he helped us lay a solid foundation for communicating our expectations with them. It has been a night and day difference! By “speaking dog”, we’ve established WE are the leaders of our pack. Our youngest pup seems to have less separation anxiety from my husband, which makes walking much easier and crate training a dream. He also seems to respond more reliably to our commands.

Even with our older pup, Riley - family members have commended her on not jumping and being much calmer. She has responded so well to this training.

Riley and Arlo both seem to be more comfortable with each other as well, making sure to take lead from us.

All of our problems are not fixed, but it is comforting to know what consistency of this training has brought us in so little time. We are excited to continue on this journey so that our dogs can be happier, and we can live happier lives with them.

    Thank you Patrick/Bark Busters!

Wallace was a pandemic puppy, meaning he was used to me being at home. When I started going back to work 3 days/week, his bad behaviors magnified. Thank goodness for Evan! Not only did he help Wallace with his separation anxiety, but walks used to be a nightmare because of the pulling. After Evan came to my house and gave me the skill set to be a better pup leader, our walks are amazing! Wallace doesn't pull, he listens to my commands and he doesn't bark at other dogs or people. Thank you so much for all your help!

Hiring Evan to tame my two ferocious beasts was the best investment I have made. Okay, so maybe I'm exaggerating on the ferocious part, but they would fight each other for my attention and once even drew blood. I also couldn't walk them both on leash at the same time, and in the morning, I barely have enough time to walk one of them. Evan taught me how to be a better pack leader soo that I could be better prepared and more in control. The change in my dogs was like night and day. I have been consistent with implementing the exercises he taught me and we have been doing GREAT. Thanks Evan!

Photo of Trouble Josh speaks "dog". We saw Trouble come around in just a few minutes with him. He really cares for animals and it shows.

    Trainer Note:
Trouble has been very aggressive with her handlers and new people in the home. She really struggles on walks and in the home with dogs and people. Today we addressed her aggression and overall behavior. Today Mark and his wife were able to move freely through their home without her attacking their feet.

Photo of Griffin & Jessie We are so happy that we found Bark Busters & Kayla!
We have a pack of 3 rescues, 2 dogs & a cat. We have had our newest rescue for about 2.5 months now; he is a very anxious & scared boy and was reacting out of fear towards our other dog & cat. We didn't have an experience with this kind of anxiety driven behavior and treat based training wasn't working. We have had two sessions with Kayla and are feeling more confident as leaders and seeing great progress in both of our dogs using the behavior correction techniques that she taught us. Our anxious boy, Griffin, is becoming more comfortable & learning how to just be a dog a little more each day and we haven't had any more issues with him acting out of fear towards Jessie. We are working toward getting him more comfortable with our cat, Diego. That process may take a little more time, but Kayla has given us the tools & confidence to get there. We are looking forward to our next session with her!
We would definitely recommend Bark Busters to anyone that is looking to be the best pet parent & leader that they can be.

Photo of Happy & Cash Robert was really informative. I noticed a difference in our dogs' issues within the first 10 minutes he was here which was very surprising. Definitely would recommend Robert to others.
