Dog Training & Behavioral Therapist for Baltimore and Central Maryland
Dave has been wonderful! We got Gumbo as a puppy- 8wks he is a chihuahua and my 6 year old son wanted another one after we lost ours 2 years prior. Gumbo was very protective of myself and my son. I would have to hold Gumbo or put in another room when my sons friends would come to play- gumbo would bark like crazy and go after the kids. He had bit several people and we were at our witts end. Within the first training I saw a dramatic change in Gumbo. After 2wks of working with , he’s a completely different dog! He is friendly now and obedient! We could not be happier! Thank you so much!Erika B.March 14 2018
Best Dog Training in Central Maryland!
You love your dog, right? Of course you do, but its behavior is causing problems. Did you know that your dog never means to be bad, that it thinks it is doing the job it was born to do? Dogs follow their instincts, the main one being that of survival. To survive, it has to be part of a strong pack which means it needs strong pack leaders. Therefore dogs crave leadership because it makes them feel safe and secure. We are evolved humans and don't naturally act the way a pack leader would, so your dog feels it has to take on that job. Honestly, most dogs don't see us as being capable of performing that job to their standards. I teach you to turn that around. When you learn how to communicate in your dog's language and behave like a canine pack leader you can change its mind and when you change a dog's mind, you can change and form good behavior.
Bark Busters methods are completely humane and natural, no gimmicks. We don't use electronic, prong, or choke chain collars. We teach you to use voice tones, body language, timing and exercises to train your dog to see you as the pack leader. I listen to what you want and need, so I can help you with the problems you are experiencing with your dog. I make the exercises simple, so you look forward to practicing them with your dog.
Dogs have always been a big part of my life and I have always had dogs respond well to me. I was very excited when I found out about Bark Busters. They showed me why dogs behave so well for me and how I can make a difference teaching families that are experiencing behavior issues with their dogs.
I do in-home, private behavioral and obedience dog training because that is where we can get the most attention from the dog, it's where most problems occur, and it's where we can obtain the fastest results. Clients see results literally in the very first session!
I am a certified master behavioral therapist and trainer. I love helping people and of course love dogs. Call me to set up an appointment and together we can change and form behavior that will make everyone happy.
Any dog, any age, any problem!

how we can help you and your dog
The Bark Busters Home Dog Training Methods helps solve dog behavior issues such as aggression towards people or other animals
- Cure embarrassing habits like barking, jumping up on people, scratching & whining at doors or inappropriate toileting.
- Create an obedient dog or puppy that will happily walk on the lead without tugging, sit or stay on command, and come immediately when called.
- Set off-limit areas for your dog.
- Reduce the stress of separation anxiety without the need for sedatives or drugs.
We teach you to communicate with your pet.
Blah, blah, blah, bad dog! blah blah. Do you think your dog isn't listening to you? Maybe you're simply not speaking his language. You may have heard of dog whisperer or dog listener techniques. The Bark Busters dog training method is based on the way dogs communicate with each other and how they learn from older, more important dogs in the pack. This is what makes our dog training unique and effective.
Why do we train in your home?
Your dog lives with a family, in a home. This is where he misbehaves most often so this is where training is most effective. Dogs learn by association. Bark Busters teaches your dog to listen in the home environment. If he does not listen at home, he will not listen outside your territory.
Training in your home is a one-on-one system without the distraction of other dogs or the stress of being sent away for training.
Of course, where you are experiencing problems outside the home such as pulling on the lead or dog aggression, we will set up controlled training situations in the park or wherever is most practical.
