Noah Kravetz Bark Busters Dog Trainer Columbus South

I am Noah Kravetz, your Bark Busters Dog Trainer and Dog Behavioral Therapist here in Columbus and the surrounding area. Since I was young, I’ve always been interested in animals and trying to understand what makes them tick. My family, and seemingly everyone around us, had dogs so I certainly got a good idea of  what it's like to live with happy dogs, anxious dogs, and even aggressive dogs.

My Aunt has been a Master Dog Trainer and Dog Behavioral Therapist with Bark Busters for nearly 20 years. Before moving to Columbus, I spent 3 years working side-by-side with her - working with every dog breed, with every age dog, and on everything from foundational puppy training to severe dog aggression concerns.

For the last several years I've been a small business owner working with clients in Grove City, Columbus, Groveport, New Albany and throughout the region.

Whether you're struggling with severe dog aggression, your dog's separation anxiety, sibling rivalry among pets, or just looking for help with dog obedience or foundational puppy training - I'm here to help!

The best part about the Bark Busters method is that our training methods are based on natural canine communication. We strive to bring out your dog's personality not change who they are! Our method teaches you to understand your dog's behaviors, needs, behavior triggers, and to learn how to better communicate. An understood dog, is a happy dog!

I have had many lessons where dog owners were considering surrendering their dogs to a shelter and the Bark Busters dog training methods and advice allowed these families to keep their dogs and live a happier life by addressing and understanding some severe dog behaviors. We believe in empowering dog owners with effective, simple, time-efficient, and cruelty-free techniques that work alongside a dogs' natural instinct. No harmful methods. No unnecessary treats.

I see plenty of aggressive dogs that are just itching for leadership, and really become that happy dog they’ve always been, even on the first lesson. I have seen first-hand the pleasure and fulfillment of dog families really learning and understanding  how to better communicate with their dogs, resulting in a happier home, elevating stress and embarrassment. I always say that our goal isn't “fixing” our dogs but understanding them, and do what we can to make everyday life better for everyone in the household.

Since making my home in Columbus, Ohio, I am blessed daily with the opportunity to help dogs and their owners find and experience new companionship, loyalty, respect, fun, and love. Whether we're at home, on walks in the neighborhood, or training at the park, I want you to be able to live the life you want with your best friend(s). It will be a great honor and pleasure to assist you, your family, and your dogs.

Noah has made a huge difference in my dogs life, she is a different girl because of him. Noah is amazing, he instructed me how to correct Heidi in positive ways, if I had questions or concerns he would address them promptly and he has a passion for wanting you and your dog to succeed. I feel I can welcome people into my home now, knowing how to make Heidi feel more comfortable around my guests and my guest feeling more comfortable around her. My family has been impressed by the changes Heidi has made and I am extremely happy with her transformation!
We decided to put our trust in Noah. We had our first lesson last night and it's like we have a different dog now! After just two hours working with Noah, we now have established boundaries and a channel for communication unlike anything we ever thought possible.
If you are looking for a dog trainer in the Columbus area, I highly recommend BarkBusters! We were assigned Noah, who I cannot recommend enough. The in home training is informative and actually works, and you can’t beat the lifetime guarantee. Well worth every penny!
We tried everything we could to train our dog, such as basic obedience classes, different commands and approaches, but there was something missing. Our puppy was pretty out of control and destructive inside and in the back yard because he does not like to be told “no” or corrected. He would bite, bark, and jump when he was being corrected and pretty much got into these moods where he would just do this every evening as a part of his normal daily routine. Going on walks is usually a complete disaster because he’s excited and thinks that every dog or human he comes across needs to play with him. He jumps, lunges, pulls, and obsesses. I was randomly googling dog therapists one day because we needed extra help and it was to the point that it was definitely interfering with our lives. I came across Bark Busters and was sold after reviewing their website and speaking to a wonderful representative over the phone. Noah became our assigned trainer. So far we’ve had 2 training sessions and it’s a night and day difference in our puppy’s behavior. The commands and exercises Noah provided us with are great and we’ve worked very hard with our dog. It’s incredible how much our puppy changed his behavior inside our house and even in the back yard in such a short amount of time. We also worked with walking outside as well and specifically what to do with distractions on walks. Noah took so much time listening to our problems we were having and getting to know our dog and interacting with him. He is very kind and personable and good at teaching us how to help our dog…it’s all about the approach. He is always available by phone, no matter what the issue may be. Noah’s constant reassurance has helped us to gain more confidence and has eliminated so much stress, frustration, and anxiety we have been experiencing and it feels so good! We will remain in contact with Noah for as long as we need. Would highly recommend!
We needed some dog training after we brought our first child home from the hospital. Before the training our dog was not listening well, and we were concerned for our baby's safety. We were nervous we were going to need to rehome our dog (which was a last choice for us). Once Noah came out and helped us, we were able to have our dog and baby on the couch together without worry. That was our main concern and it was addressed, and we couldn't be happier. Not only did our main concern get addressed, but our dog now has better door manners, doesn't bark out windows as much, and he is now working on leash walking. Noah had us do an exercise with a fake dog (our dog is dog aggressive), and we were blown away at the behavior of our dog since we have started the training. We never imagined the great progress he had made in such a short time. The service is well worth the price, and Noah is always available to help when we have questions. Be prepared to make an effort to train your dog, and you will be so happy with your results.
It all started when I noticed some food aggression from my Doberman. Since I also have a 4 year old this was a concern of mine. So I googled food aggression and barkbusters was the first one that popped up. They sent Noah to me and after two sessions he could tell a considerable difference in my pup. It was nice having an in home trainer to teach me how to train the dog. And the fact that it is good for the life of the dog sold me. Noah was very patient with me and was very professional. 5 stars!!!
We recently got an English Bulldog from a rescue & very quickly realized that he had some trust & “aggression” issues. After two incidences of him almost biting friends we decided we needed a trainer. I ultimately chose Bark Busters because of the in home training but ended up getting so much more out of it. We have another dog so he had to participate in the training also. In the beginning we were under the impression that our first dog didn’t need training. So far from working with Noah we have been in awe with what we have learned. One thing you need to understand beforehand is that he does not train your dog for you. He equips you with the knowledge & tools to understand & help your dogs, all while being an amazing support system. We very quickly learned that a lot of the behaviors our dogs were showing were not respectful & that we were giving them the opportunity to overpower us. Upon working with Noah we have completely new dogs. We understand them better & have been working very hard on helping them understand what we are asking of them. As for Zeus’ aggression issues, Noah taught us that we were expecting too much of him too soon. We were putting him in situations where he was very clearly telling us he was uncomfortable & getting upset when he didn’t respond the way we expected. Since learning his body language & techniques that works best for him, we are able to gauge what is too much too soon. He was trying to bite people because he didn’t trust that I had the situation under control because I wasn’t paying attention to his body language. We are so excited about what we have learned & so eager to learn more. Thank you Noah!
It all started when I began to see food aggression from my Doberman who is a 95lb pup. I have a daughter so this concerned me. I googled food aggression and Barkbusters were the first ones that popped up. Noah was the local trainer in my area. It was very quick getting him to my house. What stood out to me was that it was in-home training not for the dog but for me. So I could learn techniques to train my dog. After 2 sessions I have learned so much and it has been night and day with Cash. Noah was very patient with me and very professional. Also having a trainer that I can call anytime I have issues for the life of the dog is a weight lifted. I recommend to anyone who is having issues with their dog to invest in this. This is something you can carry on with you forever also.
I cannot recommend Bark Busters enough. After two training sessions with Noah I can confidently say that it is worth it! Upon meeting Noah sat with us and listened to the issues we have been having with our dogs (lots of barking and attention seeking behaviors). He then taught us how to communicate with our pups and gave us exercising to practice between training sessions. We noticed a huge different right after the first session and we were impressed. This week we had our second session and it was amazing. One of our dogs has always pulled on the leash and within moments of training it changed. If you are thinking about using a trainer for your dogs, use Noah and Bark Busters!!!
Noah has helped me so much in the past few months we have worked together. Cuda bit a family friend and suddenly became very aggressive and fearful. It was like he had changed overnight, becoming very withdrawn and I did not know what to do. Enter Noah who helped me get to the root of my dog's fear and had the tools to help me overcome it. I like the fact it is based on a dog's natural instinct versus using shock or prong collars or even treats! Noah has completely changed our family dynamics and has helped restore my dog to his happy self. Thanks you Noah for bringing Cuda back to me.
Noah came out for 4 hours and we couldn’t believe how smart Ozzy was and listened to his commands by noises . First lesson and we are practicing daily too. He also worked with Buddy, our dog who is 14. Thank you Noah! Look forward to our next lesson.
We had our first visit today with Noah Kravetz. I am completely in shock and amazement with what he was able to teach us in our first visit. When he got here it was like a normal wild day with a lot of chaos. He taught us how to distract unwanted behavior while rewarding positive behavior with praise. No yelling, no shock or prong collars! The girls did great today! They are learning they do not rule the pack. I really didn’t expect to see anything this soon. They rush us to go out. Tonight as they started to run to the door I did the command to distract them and indicate unwanted behavior and told them to come and stay. I opened the door all the way and they sat until I told them “free”.
Where to even begin?!

Noah deserves every single 5 star review.

My dogs are my babies. I have 2 boys, a 2 year old dachshund I've had since he was a pup and a 1 year old chihuahua mix I got from the humane society about 4 months ago. They are wonderful additions to my little family, but they both barked consistently, walking them was like flying kites and they completely ruled our house, which is why I called Noah.
We have now had 2 sessions with him and even just a few minutes into our first session they were different dogs. He teaches how to properly correct the dogs behavior and it's actually effective!!

Finally, I feel like we're getting through to them and not just consistently speaking another language to them, which is frustrating to us and the dogs too.

They don't bark or bombard guests coming into my home any longer, they walk by my side, come when called, and so much more! It's amazing!!! Having these tools to communicate with my boys is priceless and so rewarding when your dogs show you respect and treat you like the alpha that you are.

I love my dogs to pieces and having them so well behaved is only making my bond with them stronger. If you are even thinking about getting a trainer, look no further! You won't find anything better than Noah and BarkBusters.
Noah came by today and was amazing at educating me more about how to best communicate with my dog and to teach her in ways that she will understand. He also worked with her on some aspects she was having issues with. We have a baby on the way and she does not know boundaries but today we worked on it and everything he taught was working on the first try! He is patient and will answer any questions. I felt very comfortable having him in my home and taking control of the lessons. I’m so happy I can now work on walking my dog without her dragging me and being able to take control of situations that she would normally take control of. Noah is only a phone call away and that is so reassuring.
Thank you

2. I'm not exaggerating when I say that Noah changed our lives and changed our dog's behavior in just ONE session.

Some background: we rescued our dog last year in the middle of covid, and we've tried just about everything in the book to help with some of his behavioral issues (barking, lunging at other dogs, pulling on the leash, jumping, etc). We saw some improvements, but just weren't seeing the results we wanted.

At first, we were on the fence about the training because of the price and overall fatigue with all the training we had done in the past that did not work. All I can say is that Noah is worth every single penny. His approach is simple, wildly effective, and 100% humane training.

Our dog has completely transformed into a calm, well-mannered pup - no more leash reactivity, jumping, and anxious behavior. We are so thrilled. Thank you Bark Busters.

Noah is one of a kind and the only thing we wish we could change is having him in our lives sooner
Noah is the best! I have a very energetic goldendoodle who loves food. He would jump on top of our counters and open the trash. We actually had a couple of scary situations where he ate things he shouldn't have but luckily he was ok. He also would pull me on walks and jumps on everyone he sees. With Noah's help my boy is now respectful and has boundaries. We can both enjoy our walks together now too. I love that he does not use shock or prong collars either. I highly recommend Noah from Bark Busters! Thank you Noah!
Noah has been great for our pup Mochi. He came yesterday for a follow up visit and has been very patient and loving with him. He hasn't made our sessions feel rushed and is passionate about helping you with your dog. He listens to the concerns that we had to address them first. If you are worried about paying a flat fee and feeling like you're going to get a trainer that is going to dodge you, this has not been something we have experienced with Noah. He takes pride in his work and it shows! Looking forward to more training as Mochi is about 5 months old and displaying new behaviors each week . Its great to see the improvement in such a short time and Noah makes it fun.
My pup and I have learned SO much while working with Noah. I've done online puppy courses and trainings over zoom with some success, but being able to work in person on the specific issues that I've been facing has made such a difference. Before working with Noah, I felt like I was at a loss with how to work on leash skills, separation anxiety, and jumping up on/barking at people. Within the first meeting, I felt like I finally knew how to start addressing these issues with the right tools and confidence. I've learned a ton about how to interact/communicate with my pup, and how to correct behaviors without just constantly using treats haha. I also appreciate that I can contact Noah with questions or updates and we can adjust goals/what we're working on over time. Highly recommend Bark Busters!!
I was just about ready to rehome my dog when Noah came into our life. What a relief! I live in an apartment and my dog's barking was driving my neighbor's crazy. Also, when I tried to walk her, she would lunge and growl at the other dogs. To say the least, I was not the favorite neighbor. Noah taught me how to stop her incessant barking and get her to walk on leash without being reactive.
I have a pack of 3 dogs -- 2 German Shepherds and 1 terrier. We have been having issues with all of our babies. Issues are: separation anxiety, alpha dog rivalry, not listening, tugging while walking etc. We paid for training prior to this and wasn't to pleased with the prior training. So this time we searched many different trainers and landed on Bark Busters. We loved it because it doesn't involve treats, prong or shock collars. In fact, it makes a lot of sense that it is based on the ways dogs naturally communicate. Noah is very knowledgeable and great about returning my emails. My pack is well on their way to being well behaved!
The difference between my dog before Noah came versus after our lesson is night and day! My 4-year-old #labrador became somewhat aggressive when we moved and started barking at EVERYTHING outside. She also developed a severe case of separation anxiety, even though she used to be fine in her crate. Noah really helped me to understand why Franklin had developed this behavior and how to solve it. Noah, I am so grateful!

Understanding Dog Aggression

Aggression is a learned behavior - understanding the root, is the key to behavior modification. Bark Busters Columbus South can help.

Aggression, whether directed towards humans or other animals is not a personality type, it’s a learned behavior. Most often aggression is caused by fear, which mixed with adrenaline and inappropriate education can be a recipe for danger. At Bark Busters Columbus South we firmly believe that no dog is beyond help.

If your dog exhibits aggressive behavior, for any reason, it’s critical to get the help of a professional dog trainer. I am available to help you assess the root cause of your dog’s aggression and help you implement strategies to resolve these issues and reduce the stress it causes while training, learning, and growing.

There are many different types of dog aggression, including:

  • Aggression with other dogs or other animals
  • Aggression towards humans
  • Food aggression
  • Possessive aggression
  • Territorial aggression

I personally have successfully dealt with an array of dog aggression issues with many of our clients. Resource guarding is one of the most common forms of aggression we see in Greater Columbus. This is when a dog becomes aggressive when protecting a high-value item. We are here to help, and have extensive experience with resource guarding, human aggression, and dog-on-dog aggression.

The most important thing you can do to help your aggressive dog is to prevent situations that may lead to danger. Manage your dog’s exposure to problem situations. Prevention is always the best precaution.

If you’re struggling with dog aggression in any form, please reach out and let me help.
