Photo of Luna We just moved our 9 year old rescue from New Hampshire to the city and she is having a hard time adjusting to seeing other dogs and being alone in our apartment. We had Kayla come over to help address some issues with separation anxiety and leash reactivity. She provided us with easy changes to make throughout our day that will help her adjust to her new life in the city and help us to become Luna’s leader. She’s only been here about two weeks but already we are seeing improvement in Luna’s separation anxiety and reactivity. Kayla was so helpful providing us easy changes to make and I am already feeling some relief that Luna will be just fine as a city girl! Looking forward to continuing training with Kayla and making Luna feel safe in her new environment! Thank you Kayla!!

Photo of Remington Kayla is absolutely wonderful. We have learned so much about dog behavior, nutrition, and positive reinforcement training. Remington has responded very well to her instructions. Training is just as much for us as it is for the dog. It takes daily work and consistency, she has helped us draw up a plan to keep on track. Highly recommend Bark Busters and Kayla.

Photo of Ivy We had Kayla come for the first time this past Saturday. She was so informative and my husband and I both really learned a lot. You can tell there is so much passion behind her work. She was really patient as she coached us to begin training our dog, Ivy. We can’t wait to build consistent routines that will last with Ivy!

Photo of Roo Kayla is amazing! She’s great at communicating with both humans and dogs. She’s been really helpful as my new rescue dog and I get used to each other and work through things like separation anxiety.

Photo of Kobe & Kiba Tonight was my first training session with Kayla — AMAZING.
I have 2 dogs - both 4 years old (one with very bad separation anxiety that poops in my house weekly and one that will not stop barking when someone is at the front door)

I was at my wits end with my dogs & after my first session with Kayla, I actually feel hopeful regarding my dogs again. She gave us tips that I have not found while doing research on YouTube or Google - she is like a dog whisperer. If you can afford it or can save up to afford it, it is 100% worth it. The price honestly isn’t bad when you think about it being a lifetime of working with your dog.

She also gave so many amazing recommendations from food, treats, chews, dental health - honestly felt like a wellness visit - she is extremely educated and up to date on the best products for your pup!

If you feel like you’re not sure on where to start with training your dogs or if there is just something really bothering you about your dog’s behavior and you need help, contact bark busters and ask for Kayla if you’re in MA/NH region.

I truly can’t say enough good things about Kayla. She is knowledgeable, patient, & thorough. She gave us so much guidance in the first session and the response from our dog was immediate. She helped us learn how to communicate with our dog gently but firmly. I love that there was no use of prong or shock collars. Highly recommend her! It was a true pleasure to work with her.

Photo of EMERALD KAYLA WAS SUCH A PLEASURE TO WORK WITH. WE HAVE AN 11-WEEK-OLD GOLDEN PUPPY NAMED EMERALD. WE WANTED TO START TRAINING EARLY SO EMERALD WOULD HAVE THE BEST LIFE POSSIBLE. A WELL-TRAINED DOG HAS MORE FREEDOM. PUPPY MANAGEMENT IS SO IMPORTANT TO ENSURE WE CREATE A BEAUTIFUL BOND BETWEEN US. KAYLA EXPLAINED VERY CLEARLY THE BARK BUSTER APPROACH TO COMMUNICATING WITH OUR PUPPY. ALREADY WE HAVE SEEN A DIFFERENCE AND BECAUSE OF THIS PHILOSPHY EMERALD IS LEARNING QUICKLY AND HAS LEARNED TO RESPECT US AND FOLLOW OUR LEAD. WE A THRILLED SHE IS RESPONDING SO WELL AND LOOK FORWARD TO OUR NEXT TRAINING SESSION. THANK YOU KAYLA!

Willy is an (almost) 5 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who did not respect me as his mom/leader and everything was always on his terms. He dictated where we went on walks and when we would turn back home. He would not come back in the house from the yard without getting a treat. He also has crazy barking episodes in the yard. He would not let me put his leash on without a game of chase. He would get into my underwear (left on the bathroom floor) and would not give it up without getting aggressive/defensive.

Willy is shy with strangers but he welcomed Kayla into our home with no problem. Kayla showed me how to address all of his issues and during our session we already saw great improvement and Willy's newfound respect for me. She was very detailed and honest about my expectations. She also provided good information on his diet.

The night after our session, I told Willy to "come" so that I could put his leash on and he came immediately and let me leash him up without his little games for the first time ever. He also started coming back inside from the yard without a treat for the first time immediately after our session. He has learned to "leave it" when I drop my underwear on the floor. He's a smart boy and I'm so glad Kayla has helped me show him I am the leader to improve our relationship and keep him more safe.

Photo of Josie/Cooper I first met Kayla 3 years ago after I adopted a girl puppy from Puerto Rico who needed help !! She had really bad anxiety and always seemed so scared. She was also a jumper and would steal food off counters. I knew she needed help !!

I did so much research trying to find the best fit for us and it was well worth the time spent!!

As soon as Kayla entered the house and got to know Josie she already knew she was a good puppy !! We focused on how the trash trucks scared her and she would hide under my desk shaking. We also worked on her pulling me during walks or even bringing her out for a walk or to the bathroom. I was taught so many techniques that helped Josie so much !! Kayla has been there for me whenever something happened with Josie. She reassured me when I was struggling !! She taught me to be the leader and it worked !!

Welp I get a 2nd dog from Aruba. He was 6 months old when I got him so I knew he would need a lot of training. I was doing my best but he’s a big dog. 2 times larger than my first. I got lost in training him. I needed the reminder and confidence that I could be his leader. Cooper is a jumper and has knocked me over a few times. He also barks so much and scares all my daughter’s friends. I get it he’s massive but he’s just a big baby.

I reached out to Kayla and in one visit she retrained me and my family that we are the leaders. She showed me how to keep Cooper from not jumping and be more welcoming !! It took me a day or so but he no longer jumps on me and when people enter the house he is learning to greet them in a friendly matter !!

After the session was over I cried !! I felt all she did to help us will make his life better and ours !! I was in control again and it’s been such a difference in my house !!

She’s amazing and my life wouldn’t be a happy dog family house without her !!!

Photo of Kaia I just want to say Kayla is the real dog whisperer! She is absolutely amazing. For 9 weeks my female dog was petrified of me. Within about 2 hours of being with us, Kayla had my Kaia sitting next to me on the couch, which she had never done. That was 1 week ago today. Things have only gotten 100 % better. She’s walking with me, giving me her paw, and waiting at the door when I come home. Truly amazing. And we are not done yet. I can only wait until the next time Kayla visits our home and how much better our little girl will be. I would recommend Barkbusters, and be sure to request Kayla. You won’t be disappointed. Again, absolutely amazing. Cesar Milan should beware.
