Omg big shout out to Sara with Bark Busters. American bulldog Bullet had a issue bitting a child. Had to get bullet elevated. Sara came out to us offered get INFORMATION, VISUAL REFERENCE and even got my own homework!!!. I was unsure about this, well all I can say is
I am amazed at her GUIDANCE and TRAINING INFORMATION My beast bullet was so exhausted and asleep at Sara feet. Wonderful amazingly and so pleased. THANK YOU BARK BUSTERS. VERY WORTH IT AND RECOMMEND HIGHLY.
My dogs were behaving better within minutes and we accomplished so much within the first session. We are working on everything from aggressive/inappropriate behaviors to sitting quietly, patiently, and respectfully. I am very excited to go on walks with them again.
Today was the first day of training for my 2 chocolate labs. Sara came to our home and it immediately felt like we had know her for years. She was so personable. My 2 chocolate labs that are very friendly, full of energy always eager to greet others (just not in the right friendly way). Sara showed us some very practical tips that just clicked. It made sense for us and for the dogs. I was a little skeptical that I would see results the first day. Boy oh boy, was i wrong. Already they are minding better. Looking forward to doing the work we were shown at home and can’t wait for Sara to come back to share more helpful tips with us. You rock Sara! 🤩
JUST WOW!! Sara has just left our home after the first visit and OMG what a difference already in just 2.5 hours! Sara made us feel so comfortable and confident working with our animals in our own home! It's amazing how a simple little thing like talking to your dogs isn't so simple until you're shown how! Our little family can't be more thankful and grateful for the tools and knowledge we have already learned today alone, we are so very eager to start on our homework with the girls!!! The Buster's are beyond thankful for Sara and Bark Busters!!!!!
Holly has been a lifesaver! After bringing in a second pup, the behavioral issues with my firstborn increased significantly - intense sibling rivalry, refusal to respond to basic commands, bad manners, and on and on. After our first session with Holly, she empowered me with some fundamentals that have completely changed the dynamic with both dogs. Her model is so simple, kind, and effective. All the work was done in the home and led by me (with Holly's instruction and rationale for the behaviors and responses). I was prepared for months of work with Holly and after just two sessions (and a lot of practice on my end), we are to a place I didn't think was possible. I am so grateful for this experience and to finally have the doggy dynamic I have wanted for so long. Thank you, Holly!
Our trainer is Sara and she is a gem to work with! Our pups are sweet but one suffers from separation anxiety severely that often results in barking whenever we leave the apartment. First and foremost, you can tell Sara LOVES dogs and her job. She is so friendly but also knows when it’s time to get serious, both with us and the pups. We loved that Bark Busters approach isn’t a gimmick or special product. It’s simply teaching dog parents how to communicate with their dog in a manner that establishes to the dog that we (the human) are in charge. During the first hour or so, the sole focus was on us learning how to “speak dog”. This part was so important because it lays the foundation for the actual training so that we as humans better understand how dogs communicate. After ensuring we understood that, and answering a million questions, Sara began showing us the corrective technique (yes that is singular - one technique) that has changed the way we interact with our dogs and the way our dogs respond to us. No, this technique does not involve harming or physically hurting the dogs whatsoever, it’s purely a communication thing. Within minutes of applying the corrections, we began to see a shift in the way our Aussie engaged with us. She was looking to us for her guidance rather than the other way around. This included being in her crate, establishing boundaries physically (no jumping), and pulling on leash. So what’s the catch right? It’s not magic and it’s not a one time fix. Our first session was approximately two weeks ago and while the “issues” aren’t gone, here’s what’s changed.
1) barking when left at home: used to be 45 minutes to an hour of persistent barking that began as soon as we left - now is down to 15-30 minutes of intermittent howling that doesn’t start for about 10-15 minutes after we leave. Still lots of room for improvement but this is also the one we’ve been able to dedicate least amount of training time to. Why? Because we only correct her when she howls and since we began training, her intermittent howls can have gaps of up to 15 to 20 minutes. This means that in a best case scenario, we get 3-4 corrections in an hour of training and quite frankly, we don’t have a full hour to dedicate each night (yes that’s an us problem).
2) jumping and invading personal space: this has been fixed almost entirely. The only time it continues to be an issue is when the pups get really excited (someone new at the door or we get back after being gone for several hours) but only requires one correction and the pups back down.
3) pulling on least: before the dogs would “lead” approximately 4-6 feet in front and pull tirelessly. They now will stay in step, if not a bit behind. The Aussie is taking to this better than our yorkie, he’s still trying to lead at times but given a quick correction will step back. They are still easily distracted but we’re working on that. They definitely pay much more attention during walks and are looking to see if we are giving them feedback throughout.
4) barking at door when someone walks by outside or someone is at the door: God bless these dogs, they are protectors at heart. If they hear a sound at the door, they are in go mode. Sprinting and barking at the door. This is still their instinct, but with a single correction, they back away from the door and look to us to lead and handle the situation.
Let’s address the elephant in the room, have our dogs’ personalities changed? That is, do we just have robots now? Nope! The pups still love us, we’re still their best friends. They simply look to us as leaders now. We can provide a correction and within 30 seconds we’re back to cuddling our dog. They still give tons of affection and are just as energetic as ever.
We’re incredibly satisfied with Sara as a trainer and Bark Busters as a program. We can’t wait to continue seeing improvements with our pups, and ourselves as leaders! :)
Enjoy some pup pics.

Yorkie: Ezra, 2 yo
Since finding out we were pregnant, we have been dealing with our dogs being very possessive of me. This was causing extreme anxiety with me and I was constantly having to keep them separate. Sara came in and showed us how to take our house back with learning to assert our dominance in a way our dogs understood! In such a short time I can't believe how well our dogs have learned to listen to us and understand our space as well as our dogs! I can't thank Sara enough for giving us the tools to start our dog training journey and ease my anxiety!
Sarah is simply amazing! Her approach to dog training is incredible. Today she came to help us work on our dog’s jumping behaviors, and by this evening, our dog hadn’t jumped up on anyone! She is patient and very thorough in explaining the techniques that she is teaching us and she answers all of our questions. She’s very quick to respond to text messages and to set up appointments when we need her to come for a visit. I am so glad I took the recommendation. I was given to call Bark Busters for training.
The training may feel odd at first, but is is so effective. My dog has separation anxiety and is reactive towards/distrusting of other dogs and people. After just one session Rookie was already a bit calmer, his demeanor has changed already. There’s a lot of consistent work for us to do, but for the first time since we got him, I finally have hope. And Sarah (the BB trainer in my area) is amazing, kind, and so easy to talk to. It’s worth the investment.
Sara was absolutely amazing, and we learned so much from her! We absolutely love her and this program! My boy zombie has separation anxiety and is reactive to other humans and dogs and in one session we are already seeing a change in his behavior. We are so excited for him to be able to be calm and carefree and live his life to the fullest! Thank you so much for training us to train him correctly!!!
Wow. What an experience. We had high hopes and expectations and all of them were exceeded. After 2 hours we had a completely different dog and we are determined to see this through to the end. Pepper will be a happy boy soon.
Awesome trainer!!!! Really appreciate how Sara knows how to train you can really tell she loves dogs and knows her stuff.
Google Review: Sarah is awesome!!!! I learned so much from her after only the first session. After only two days, Sadie is already learning what she is and is not supposed to do.
Google Review: Had our first training today at home with two Jack Russell’s and a miniature dachshund. The techniques felt like they were genuinely helping and we have a few weeks of training to go but I am confident that this will be successful. I will post an update in a few weeks as we continue on with training.
LIFE CHANGING!!! I thought I was going to have to rehome our dog…. Sara and her knowledge/insights saved my dog and kept the dog in our home!
The “Dog Behavior Specialist” (not a “dog trainer” that trains to sit and such) was amazing!
I adopted a large breed dog for safety concerns, and that dog ended up biting my mother when she entered my house without me beside her to introduce her to the dog - the dog bit ‘the stranger’ in the house to protect me. I knew this wasn’t a bite for no reason, but the dog was becoming more and more protective of me to visitors. Sara, the Dog Behavior Specialist, was able to show me how to be the dominant presence in my own home, and to take the fear of needing to protect me out of my dog.
In just a few hours Sara was able to stop the lunging, barking, and growling! We have been practicing what was taught to myself and my dog daily and have not had another incident (3 weeks now)! Sara was amazing at explaining to me the behaviors of my dog, taught me to “speak dog”, established me as the strong leader (that doesn’t need protecting) in my dog’s mind, and stopped ALL aggressive behaviors in JUST ONE VISIT!!!
I honestly was believing that I would have to relinquish the dog back to the shelter because of the aggression and the bite… but Sara TRANSFORMED my dog’s and my relationship so that the dog has become an amazing companion!
…and it is for LIFETIME of the dog! I have already contacted Sara after our first session to ask other questions and she has gotten back to me promptly! I have already set up a second session for more insights to having visitors over to my house as I am expecting company within 2 weeks - just as a refresher for Athena, my dog, and me!
I can’t thank Sarah from Bark Busters enough for her support with my dogs today. She was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and understanding. A few times, I had tears in my eyes because, for the first time in a while, my dogs were actually listening, and it gave me so much hope and happiness. Sarah’s guidance was clear, effective, and tailored to our situation. I feel like I finally have the tools to help my dogs and create a more peaceful home. I highly recommend her to anyone needing help with their pets!
Sara was so easy to work with and was very patient with us when trying to "train" us to be effective dog parents. Several of her pointers have worked wonders with our puppy immediately, and other tips are going to take a bit more practice, as we found out after Sara left. It was a very comfortable and pleasant training experience overall and we will not hesitate to contact Sara with any questions or concerns we have during our training journey. Thank you, Sara, for giving us the confidence to tackle this most important task! We will be in touch soon!
Sara, our Bark Busters trainer did a fabulous job! She gave us thorough explanations, examples and lots of “hands on” practice. Both dogs (one is 14) are doing well with not barking. The front door and vacuum are the biggest challenges and we are making progress!
We couldn’t believe how much better our dog responded to our commands. The big surprise was how quickly we saw a great reduction in aggressive behavior. Thank you and we look forward to working with you over the next several months
We only had one session so far. That is the reason all issues have not been addressed yet. We have FULL confidence the other issues will be timely and appropriate for our training sessions. We were amazingly impressed with Holly at first sight. She thoroughly explained to us how we are like a wolf pack to our Toby Tabito. He is doing great! We hope to learn what we need to as his pack leaders. Thank you so very much Holly for your kindness and thorough help in just one session so far! We are so excited for the ease of this method! We promise to do our best to do the training correctly and daily!!!
We are still in shock at how quickly the first behavioral changes began and how impactful it has been for our dogs. After two years with these lovely sisters, food aggression and resource guarding became too much for us to handle. Holly came into our home and within minutes our pups were better behaved than the entire two years prior. They listen, understand our stance and commands, and are much more at ease around the house. We are no longer just those weird two-legged dogs they protect from ourselves, but rather we have become the leaders of the pack and everyone is happy. I have already shared Holly's success with so many people and will continue to recommend her! Can't wait for our next training together!
Holly has been incredible! We are first time dog owners and rescued a two year old Staffordshire terrier. Mr. TAZ. Leash pulling was his favorite on top of running away. Bark Busters was easy to get ahold of and provided high quality training in a short amount of time. Our furry friend no longer pulls or runs alway. Fun fact “Dog run away when they don’t have leadership in their current home.” Taz has been a blessing in disguise. Bark Busters specialize in aggressive dogs. Picture of Taz and Three playing on his last day of training. Bark busters is the best lifetime investment. Highly recommend.
I have nothing but amazing things to say about Holly. In just the 2 hour initial training we learned so much!! We recently adopted a German Shepherd who was struggling to fit into our pack. Turns out we were sending mixed signals which was in turn causing havoc. We finished the training feeling a sense of relief and a new confidence in our leadership skills. 🙌 We have emailed questions to Holly and she was quick to respond. We look forward to you 2nd session and are absolutely thankful we found Holly! 10/10 highly recommend!
Great day when I connected to Holly and Bark Busters. She is both professional and personable. Her skills at quickly sizing up the needs of owner and pet are remarkable, and much appreciated. In simple modeling and directions, she quickly had me getting the necessary behavioral outcomes with the dogs. Because of her encouragement, I am confident I can get my little pack on track. So pleased I decided to go ahead with Bark Busters.
I have alot of work to do but already seeing an improvement in both Dogs
Made working with our dog Gus much easier. We were able to get Gus on a leash and walking with no pulling and fighting. It was truly amazing. Gives us hope we will be able to have more enjoyable walks for a long time to come. Highly recommend Holly and Bark Busters!!
Holly was excellent to work with. She was able to show us how to get our dog to walk on a leash without pulling in the first visit. We had tried 3 other trainers from different facilities without luck. I would highly recommend Holly for any dog training issues. Much better understanding of how to work with our dog.
Holly is amazing! We received so much help just in the first 15 minutes of talking with Holly and explaining why our dog is acting the way they are and all the light bulbs started going off that explain the behaviors. The training was great and there was progress right away. The way bark busters trains is 100% the way to go!
Holly was great, she helped us so much and I really think as the training goes forward our dogs will get the care they need.
