I am very happy that I chose Bark Busters. My dog, Rocket, is 8 years old, and I was a bit skeptical about him being trained. Firstly, and most important to me is a humane, non-shock training program.
PermalinkRocket has anxiety leaving the house: he doesn't want to walk far from the house; putting on his brakes usually, one house away. He's also anxious riding in the car.
Bark Busters' approach to training was different from what I expected - their six week program for Rocket is not only geared towards changing those behaviors, but to also help relieve him of some of his responsibilities (you'll understand if you reach out to them). We're teaching Rocket (and myself!) about boundaries, appropriate behavior and reactions.
Jef is very knowledgeable in this approach and I am definitely seeing results and am looking forward to our continued sessions and improvement!

I got a cute puppy during covid that grew into a 105 lb bundle of nerves. After a previous failed training stint I decided to try Bark Busters. Ben was amazing! Super professional and really connected with both us (we are being trained as well) and our dog. Seriously, this dog is like a new animal. Can not be happier about my results so far.

We had our first training with Bark Busters with Jordan and it was a very good experience. Of course, it is really training "humans" that is most important and I am pleased to say that it is still working and growing more effective with my rescue dog Maddie, a American Straffordshire Terrier mix (Pit Bull) She is loving, willful and we couldn't even begin to imagine managing her without the "growl." Jordan left to pursue other interests and we were blessed to have Patrick step in.
PermalinkPatrick came and was even more effective with his style and own interest himself in rehabbing rescue dogs, especially the ones that many people don't understand.
Maddie immediately obeyed him ( I guess his growl was more effective ;-) and the kind and firm guidance helped us take her training to another level. He is available for continued work. I couldn't be more pleased with his training and for Bark Busters.
I highly recommend Patrick and the way he trains and takes care of his clients; human and dogs.

I cannot say enough good things about Ryanne and Bark Busters! The training, support and guidance that Ryanne has provided for us and our dog Coco has truly changed our family! Our rescue dog Coco was struggling with her behavior when guests came over and encounters with other dogs, from the first session we saw immediate changes with Coco. We have a truly happier dog and everyone is beyond impressed with the changes. Ryanne is always willing to help and goes above and beyond - we cannot recommend Bark Busters enough!

Chris with bark busters is helping us with our fearful pup. We’ve only had two lessons so far but have seen a lot of improvement with Hank. His most difficult behavior is his fear of outside and other dogs so Chris has been working with us to build Hank’s confidence and get him more comfortable walking in leash outside. We’re happy we found Bark Busters and Chris as he’s been so helpful and responsive to our concerns.

Let me tell you about my sweet schnoodle, Greta. At 2 1/2, Greta was the terror of my townhome development. She barked at everyone - dogs, squirrels, birds, people - if it moved, she barked at it. Walking her was a nightmare. Greta was 20 pounds of out of control. In desperartion, I contacted Keith for help. As promised, after training session 1, Greta had calmed down - not perfect, but amazing progress. After three sessions, Greta walks on a loose leash fairly well and the (improved) barking and interaction with people and dogs has been remarkable. Even my neighbors have commented on the vast improvement. I encourage anyone with doggy behavior issues to give Keith and Bark Busters a call.
