Long story short: Ben has worked miracles for our family and really helped our dog grow more comfortable with her place in our "pack," especially after a chaotic introduction to having a newborn at home. Now, baby + pup can play together and mom + dad have confidence and trust in their behavior!

The whole story (for anyone who's curious or debating hiring Bark Busters for your family - do it!): From the very first questionnaire I filled out online, I felt like this style of dog training would be the right solution for our family. I felt like our dog was good, not great - she doesn't beg, listens to a few commands, but barks like crazy and doesn't get along well with other dogs around. And at eight months pregnant with our first baby on the way, we knew it was smart to have a dog trainer start helping us.

Our first session went beautifully and the tools Ben set us up with seemed to really work. Right away, we noticed a difference and we were able to work with our dog on several key target behaviors. She even grew more comfortable with strangers (a contractor at the time) coming into the house.

When we brought our newborn baby home for the first time, it was extremely chaotic. Despite our early training and giving her baby stuff to smell, it was clear that our dog was NOT ready and not feeling friendly. We couldn't have them in the same room together without the dog being overly excited and on edge, and she barked at every baby cry.

We called Ben from a place of desperation and he calmly talked us through each step of the way. We followed his direction and training plan for several weeks and made huge progress. By 2-3 months old, I am so happy/proud/relieved to say that both baby and pup are now friends. They can be in the same room, on the same couch, pup can approach and gently lick baby's face, and then walk away.

This is so huge for our family, and we are extremely grateful. We have so much peace and confidence knowing that down the road, should we ever need a training refresher or need advice, we have Ben to call.

    Trainer Note:
We had a really great first session today! We addressed the main issue which was potty training. We also helped reduced the dog's overall stress. We also addressed their door manners, leash manners, and barking! Now that Eric has all the tools to continue guiding them, they will continue to improve.

The change in Bear’s behavior was immediate. We were provided clear representation of what our behavior and actions should look like to continue this change on Bear’s behavior

Update: Proof that time and diligence utilizing Keith's training techniques works!! Our dog is living happily and peacefully with our kitties! She has evolved into such a happy, confident pup, and she doesn't even mind being used as a cat bed! We are so grateful for Keith and recommend him to everyone we meet who have dogs in need of training.

Keith is an amazing trainer! We had Keith help us with our new rescue that we adopted from a pretty rough shelter. Focus and acclimating her with our family cats were our main goals. Well, less than 24 hours after our first session, our girl is showing amazing progress. Keith has a calm, reassuring demeanor that really puts the dog at ease. He is also very good at communicating with us pet parents, giving us all the tools to make the training achievable and results stick. Our girl came out of her crate this morning and walked through the house focused on her dad, and not her kitty siblings. She is more relaxed on the leash and immediately responsive to commands. When we do need to use correction, she responds immediately and positively, showing that the training is helping to build her confidence within our family. We are beyond pleased with the results of our first session, and beyond grateful to Keith for his guidance. Can't wait to have him back to see her progress!

Photo of Holly Michelle helped us to take charge of an alpha diva dog. The tools and skills that she gave us have made a huge difference in our family. Our dog is more relaxed and we are in charge. I highly recommend Michelle. The tools she gives you will work if you are willing to commit the time it takes to program your dog.

We saw immediate change in his behavior. One main goal was to be able to take him on walks. We both successfully walked him and were able to give correction.

We recently rescued a 1.5 year old Border Terrier from the Oakland SPCA. While we have had pets for years we have never engaged in any formal training. This time we decided to give it a try. My wife looked online and found Dan Lan Franco from Bark Busters. We liked his stated philosophy and certainly the reviews that he has received. That said, after the first session (2.5 hours) we were impressed with Dan, his delivery, the information we received and our hands-on training. We were amazed at how our dog, Perry, interacted with him and behaved. He left us with basic homework to do each day for 10-15 minutes, which we have done. We had another session 2 weeks later to check in and report that Perry was doing quite well and he continues to do so. Needless to say, we are thrilled with Dan and his methods, and we look forward to continued success!
